Chapter 271 The Old Man Sends Off the Young Man (Part 1)

Su Wei turned around and returned to the Tianlao.

Ye Heng watched him go and come back, sneered in his heart, and did not even stand up, just leaned against the wall, and said sarcastically: "What, Lord Su is going to interrogate me again? I told you, there is no need to waste your time on me. I will admit what I have done, but for those who have not done it, no one can throw dirty water on me!"

It sounds like he is very confident and sure of himself.

Su Wei put his hands behind his back and looked at him indifferently.

"That's not the case. I just ran into Ye Chutang outside and she had something to tell you."

Ye Chutang?

Ye Heng's eyebrows jumped fiercely, and he turned his head with a gloomy face: "What is she doing here!?"

Every time he heard Ye Chutang's name, he would feel extremely uneasy, especially now that the case has not been settled. Ye Chutang should be recuperating at home, so why would he come here?

Su Wei stared at him closely, not missing any changes in his expression, and said word by word:

"Ye Mingze suddenly fell ill last night and died."

As soon as the words fell, the surroundings fell into dead silence.

Ye Heng's mind went blank for a moment, then he reacted and stood up suddenly: "What did you say!?"

Su Wei said: "The Ye family is still under ban, and everything is inconvenient, so Ye Chutang made this special trip. Lord Ye, I am sorry for your loss."

All the blood in Ye Heng's body rushed to his brain and he rushed over, holding tightly onto the cold fence with both hands.

"You're talking nonsense! She's lying, this must be fake! Mingze was only sixteen and in good health, how could she die suddenly! That Ye Chutang is cunning and must be lying!"

Because of anger, veins bulged on his forehead and it seemed that he was about to rush out in the next second.

Through the prison door, Su Wei had an indifferent expression.

The jailer stepped forward quickly and knocked him hard: "How dare you! How dare you lose your composure in front of the adults!"

Ye Heng's hand couldn't dodge in time and instantly became red and swollen.

Only then did Su Wei raise his hand.

"That's all. It's normal for Lord Ye to lose control of his emotions after losing his beloved son so suddenly."

These words undoubtedly stimulated Ye Heng again.

His eyeballs bulged, his expression was ferocious, and even his facial features were distorted.

However, deep in his heart, tremendous pain and despair overwhelmed him and quickly swallowed him up.

He knew very well that these words coming from Su Wei's mouth were basically correct.

It was like a huge rock was pressing on his chest, making it difficult for him to breathe.

Ye Heng punched his chest, his lips trembling, but he couldn't utter a word.

He slowly squatted down, his body curled up, as if all his strength had been drained away, his eyes were blank and soulless.

Not long ago, he was still secretly proud of his own cautiousness back then, as he really didn't leave any clues. With the help of that person, he would definitely not be sentenced to death!

When the time comes, he will go out and see the light of day!

However, he never expected that as this day was about to arrive, Mingze would die!

That's his only son!

Ye Heng looked down at him, and every word he spoke was like a sharp blade, piercing into Ye Heng's heart and cutting him to bleed.

"The situation is special, I'm afraid you can't go out to see him off for the last time. But the dead are the greatest, if there is anything else you want to convey, I can help."

It is already a tragedy for an old person to see a young person die, but he doesn't even have the right to see his son for the last time!

Ye Heng's whole body began to tremble violently.

“No, no! Someone must have murdered him… It must be Ye Chutang! With such a vicious heart, isn’t she afraid that her parents’ spirits in heaven will not rest in peace?”
