Chapter Six: The Wood Spirit Body

Chapter Six: The Wood Spirit Body

Han Wei showed no pity for the Qingyun Sect disciples who were killed in the explosion; they were all her enemies.

In the beginning of her previous life, she was just a blood bag for Su Rumei. Later, when Xie Yun discovered that her recovery ability far exceeded his imagination, he not only let Su Rumei drink her blood, but he also used her blood to refine pills and distributed them to everyone in the Qingyun Sect.

She hated it!

They hate everyone in the Qingyun Sect.

They all deserve to die!

Hahahaha—

Under the night sky, a streak of blue light flashed by.

This figure was a young man flying on a sword. As he flew, a flash of spiritual light appeared on his body, and he transformed into a girl of about fifteen years old. The girl had bright eyes and white teeth, and was very beautiful. Although she was still young, she already possessed a beauty that could topple kingdoms.

The wind tousled Han Wei's long hair as she scanned her surroundings with her divine sense, but Gu Qi was nowhere to be seen. She thought to herself, "Wasn't he supposed to be waiting for me outside? Where did that guy Gu Qi go?"

After leaving Qingyun Sect, she searched everywhere for Gu Qi, but couldn't find him.

Just as she was fretting, she heard a thunderous roar, lightning flashed across the sky, and then a terrifying storm arose. The storm sent Han Wei flying more than ten miles away. She tried desperately to steady herself, but in the end, she crashed into a mountain peak, sword and all.

Han Wei winced in pain. The moment she got up, she felt an astonishing spiritual pressure pressing down on her like a mountain. Blood welled up in her mouth. She struggled to look up and saw that the moon was obscured and a huge shadow loomed high in the sky.

The enormous shadow was revealed to be a gigantic four-winged demonic beast. This beast was tens of meters tall, its feathers sharp as blades, and it possessed a ferocious head with a single, enormous eye on its forehead. Han Wei recognized it as a one-eyed four-winged eagle, a one-eyed four-winged eagle comparable to a Nascent Soul cultivator in its early stages.

What the heck?

Han Wei's eyes widened.

Just then, sword energy soared into the sky.

call out!

Then, the sword light pierced the night like a white rainbow piercing the sun.

The demonic beast was slain by a white sword beam and fell from the sky, plummeting right before Han Wei's eyes and crashing into the valley below.

With a loud bang, Han Wei, who was halfway up the mountain, felt the ground shake. She looked up at the sky and saw a figure standing there.

The young man, dressed in white, was as handsome as a celestial being. Seventy-two silver-white flying swords, gleaming with a cold light, surrounded him, like stars surrounding the moon.

It was Gu Qi.

This oppressive aura...

A Nascent Soul cultivator, at least at the peak of the mid-Nascent Soul stage, no, it should be the late-Nascent Soul stage.

Han Wei made her judgment based on the opponent's previous sword strike.

Gu Qi looked at her and smiled slightly. His smile was incredibly handsome, truly breathtaking.

All the silver flying swords that had been swirling around him disappeared, and his figure vanished from the sky, reappearing in front of Han Wei.

Despite the pain, Han Wei immediately stood up, distanced herself from the other person, and then respectfully bowed with her hands clasped in greeting:

"Master!"

Gu Qi's gaze fell on her scraped arm.

Han Wei stood on the edge of the cliff, glanced at the monster at the bottom of the valley, and asked in confusion, "What is this...?"

Gu Qi said casually:

"They were probably just passing by and got attracted by the commotion you caused, so they came over to take a look. I figured I might as well kill them and use them as materials for refining weapons."

Han Wei: "..."

That monster is so unlucky! But thinking about how I fell and got seriously injured, I feel even more unlucky.

Han Wei smiled as she watched Gu Qi turn around, walk to the edge of the cliff, and with a wave of her hand, take away the corpse of the one-eyed, four-winged eagle at the bottom of the valley.

Then, with another wave of his hand, a flying boat radiating a blue glow appeared in mid-air. The flying boat was about ten feet in size, decorated with dragons and phoenixes, and draped with white gauze curtains, making it extremely magnificent.

In a flash, he arrived on the flying boat, stood at the bow, facing the wind, and looked at Han Wei, who was still on the mountainside, with a smile.

Han Wei's gaze darkened slightly, and then she flew onto the flying boat.

Gu Qi smiled and entered the flying boat.

Han Wei followed them inside.

The flying boat was spacious and elegantly decorated, filled with a scholarly atmosphere. Gu Qi sat down at a jade table set in front of a carved round window. He smiled and used magic to brew tea, then turned to look at Han Wei standing beside him and gestured for her to sit opposite him.

Han Wei sat down opposite him, and a cup of tea flew to her.

The cup, a pale blue after the rain, held a cup of fine tea, from which wisps of white steam rose.

Han Wei picked up the cup of tea and took a small sip. The tea was good, but she felt a little uncomfortable seeing the man opposite her staring at her and smiling.

Gu Qi elegantly picked up a cup of tea and smiled, "The Wood Spirit Body is indeed extraordinary. You were so badly injured, but you're already healed."

Han Wei felt as if she had been struck by lightning, and her face turned deathly pale.

He actually figured it out.

Han Wei was just blown by the wind to the mountainside, where she suffered internal injuries and abrasions on her arms, but those abrasions have now healed.

The Wood Spirit Body exists only in legends, and even ordinary Nascent Soul cultivators may not know about it.

In truth, no one in the entire Qingyun Sect knew that Han Wei possessed the Wood Spirit Body. Her parents had been fabricating lies, only claiming that they had fed her the Jade Dragon Fruit, which explained her strong regenerative abilities and the miraculous effects of her blood. In her previous life, Han Wei only learned of her secret after leaving the Yunlan Realm.

This guy in front of me actually figured it out, so...

Han Wei didn't know how much he knew about the Wood Spirit Body, but since he could say it, it was impossible that he didn't know what her blood represented.

Has she just escaped one wolf's den only to fall into another?

"What Wood Spirit Body? This disciple doesn't understand." Han Wei pretended to be ignorant.

Gu Qi laughed and said, "You lied again. Aren't you afraid I'll choke you now?"

Han Wei: "..."

"If I were to eat you, I wonder how much my cultivation level would increase?" Gu Qi said with a light laugh.

After a moment of confusion, Han Wei regained her composure, bowed to the man opposite her, and said:

"Master, please don't frighten your disciple. Whatever your orders are, your disciple will go through fire and water without hesitation."

If you really want to have her, why take her as an apprentice?

Gu Qi's lips curled up slightly: "Is that so? I do need you, I need your Wood Spirit Body. But your cultivation is too low right now, you can't help your master."

Han Wei immediately replied, "Disciple will definitely cultivate diligently and strive to improve my cultivation level as soon as possible."

Gu Qi asked with a smile, "Aren't you even going to ask what I need you for?"

"No matter what you do, my disciple has no room to refuse, right?" Han Wei said.

"Hahahaha..." Gu Qi laughed loudly. After he finished laughing, he looked at Han Wei and said, "It seems so. It's good that you understand this point."

He nodded slightly, his golden eyes quite beautiful.

With a wave of his hand, Gu Qi sent a cultivation manual flying toward Han Wei.
