Chapter 179 Are You a Tyrant?
Han Wei had another dream. In her dream, she was still a bead, repeating the scenes she had dreamt of before. First, she was in a cold universe, surrounded by chaotic energy. Then, stars appeared around her. Then, she saw the rudiments of countless worlds slowly emerge.
Then, a terrifying being set its sights on her and tried to capture her. She ran and ran, but even when she escaped into the river of time, that being caught her.
She refused to submit to that man, so he threw her into a large furnace and burned her with flames every day, trying to refine her.
Later, she broke the furnace to escape, but he caught her again. Just as he was about to destroy her, she woke up again.
When Han Wei woke up, she found herself in an utterly unfamiliar scene. She found herself lying in an unparalleled palace, the most magnificent palace she had ever seen, yet it was incredibly desolate. The air itself felt icy cold, devoid of any human presence.
She stood up and saw a familiar figure through the golden gauze curtain. She took a few steps, lifted the curtain, and saw the Heavenly Emperor playing chess against himself.
He sat cross-legged, his long, silvery-white hair cascading like a waterfall studded with starlight, his skin as white as jade, his entire body enveloped in divine light. His slender fingers held a black chess piece. As Han Wei walked towards him, he glanced at her: "You're awake."
Han Wei stared at him blankly for a few moments, feeling that he possessed an unimaginable beauty and an unparalleled sense of oppression that made her heart pound and her heart tremble with fear, giving rise to an irresistible urge to submit to and worship him.
This is his real identity.
Han Wei thought to herself.
Han Wei smiled and hugged his arm: "I knew you would come to save me."
The Heavenly Emperor broke free from her, but Han Wei hugged him again. He glanced at Han Wei coldly and then stopped trying to break free. He simply said expressionlessly, "You dare to venture into the Demon Realm Abyss with only the Heavenly Immortal realm? You really aren't afraid of death."
"Of course I'm afraid of dying," Han Wei said.
"Then why did you run off to the Demon Realm?" The Heavenly Emperor's voice was cold.
"Because I had a compelling reason to go," Han Wei said.
"What is the reason that you absolutely must go?" the Heavenly Emperor asked.
Han Wei looked into his deep golden eyes, lowered her head, and hesitated whether to mention her third uncle. After pondering for a long time, she finally said, "Do you remember the Heavenly Yuan Demon Lord?"
"More than 80 million years ago, I killed him in the Demon Realm. After his death, many of his clones were scattered throughout the myriad realms. Over the past 80 million years, although I have destroyed many of them, I have not been able to kill all of his clones," the Heavenly Emperor said calmly.
His true form was unable to descend to the lower realm, and his reincarnated form could not exert enough power, so the Heavenly Yuan Demon Lord's clones crawled around like cockroaches.
"Do you have a deep-seated hatred for him?" Han Wei asked.
"Deep-seated hatred? No," the Heavenly Emperor said.
“So you killed him because he was the Demon Lord,” Han Wei said.
"I don't like the look of him," said the Heavenly Emperor.
Han Wei's lips twitched: "Are you a tyrant?"
“We encountered an avatar of the Heavenly Yuan Demon Lord when we were in the Star Luo Realm,” Han Wei said.
The Heavenly Emperor looked at her and sneered, "Yes, in order to stop that guy, you made me self-destruct."
Han Wei's gaze darted around, and she smiled guiltily: "Well, that's because you scared me. Let's leave the past behind. You killed that guy, did you kill every clone of the Heavenly Yuan Demon Lord you saw?"
"What's the point of keeping it?" the Heavenly Emperor retorted.
"Is his clone a threat to you?" Han Wei asked.
"Even if cockroaches pose no threat, the sight of one makes you want to stomp on them," the Heavenly Emperor said indifferently.
Han Wei: "..."
Although what he said made a lot of sense, her third uncle had now become the "cockroach" he described. Gods and demons are opposites, and his attitude was probably the same as all the gods' attitude towards demons.
"If you're so capable, why don't you go and wipe out the entire demon race?" Han Wei asked.
"The source of evil is the dark side of all living beings. Darkness will not disappear, and so will evil." The Heavenly Emperor said.
Even if he slaughters all the demons now, new demons will be born a million years from now. These guys are endless. If he keeps slaughtering the demon realm and cleansing it again and again, too much killing will only cause him to fall into the dark side and become a demon god.
Han Wei stared at him, gritted her teeth, and finally said, "My third uncle has merged with a clone of the Heavenly Yuan Demon Lord."
The Heavenly Emperor looked at her, still expressionless.
“That guy originally wanted to possess him, but he failed, and the two of them merged. My third uncle fought with him for thousands of years. He used to be trapped in the Blood Killing Realm's Wuzhong Mountain, but now he's gone. I've been looking for him. I tried to divine his whereabouts before, but I couldn't see anything.”
“During this time, the results of my divination led me to the demon realm, and he may be in the demon realm,” Han Wei said.
"Han Yu..." the Heavenly Emperor said. The Heavenly Emperor did not know Han Yu, but Gu Qi did know Han Yu, though the two were not even acquaintances.
"Can you find him?" Han Wei asked.
"Aren't you afraid that once I find him, I'll kill him?" the Heavenly Emperor said coldly.
“I was scared, that’s why I waited until now to ask you. You owe me two wishes. One wish is to find him, but you’re not allowed to touch a single hair on his head,” Han Wei said.
"What if I find him, and he's no longer your third uncle?" The Heavenly Emperor's gaze was sharp.
Han Wei fell silent.
"If, if his consciousness is swallowed up, even you can't save him?" Han Wei asked.
“I have never claimed to be an omnipotent god,” the Heavenly Emperor said. “If you had come to me earlier, I would have had many ways to help you. But you waited until now, which shows that you are extremely afraid that I will harm Han Yu if I see him. In the end, you trust no one but yourself.”
The Heavenly Emperor's words pierced Han Wei's heart like a sharp sword. Yes, the only person she truly trusted was herself. That was how she had lived in her past life.
Of all the people she distrusted, the Heavenly Emperor before her was number one.
She knew absolutely nothing about him; she knew nothing about his past. He had lived for so long—who knew how many secrets he held? And the difference in their abilities was so vast—how could she trust him?
In her past life, she tried to give her complete trust, and the result was that she almost lost her life.
Han Wei's head was throbbing. She looked at the man in front of her, met his cold eyes, and asked, "So, can you help me find my third uncle?"
The Heavenly Emperor stared at her intently for a few moments, then said, "I will help you find him. If he is still conscious, I will bring him back to you. If he is no longer your third uncle, I will kill him. You should have no objection, right?"
Han Wei gripped his hand tightly, her voice hard and cold: "If anyone's going to kill, it'll be me. It's not your place to do it."
The Heavenly Emperor looked into her emerald eyes, her gaze unwavering. He said, "Fine, do it yourself. If you can do it to me, you can do it to Han Yu too."
As he finished speaking, a mocking smile curled at the corners of his lips.
