Chapter Twenty: Giving Gu Qi a Flower
Reaching the front of the cave, Gu Qi put down the wooden bucket and found a place to sit. With a wave of his hand, he set up a large pot, and flames ignited beneath it. He used magic to gut the fish in the bucket, then cut them into pieces and threw them into the boiling water.
Han Wei, watching from the side, blinked and asked, "Master, are you going to make fish soup?"
"Is that not allowed?" Gu Qi asked.
Han Wei: "No."
She just didn't expect him to do something like this. Those fish were a hybrid of sea monsters, and she thought they were just for keeping as pets.
By the way, is this fish delicious?
She watched as Gu Qi stirred the soup pot with a spoon, added seasonings, and even put in a few of the spiritual herbs she had given him before. The fish soup turned white and smelled delicious.
Gu Qi raised his hand, revealing a jade-colored bowl. He picked up a spoon, ladled out a bowl of soup, and handed it to Han Wei.
"Try it," Gu Qi said.
Han Wei sat down beside him, took the soup with both hands, blew on it, and took a sip. The soup was incredibly delicious; one sip brought a strange sense of satisfaction, as if it were soaking her entire body. In her previous life, she had tasted many delicacies, but this soup was even better than that made by many cultivators who specialized in culinary arts.
"Delicious!"
Han Wei took a sip, then another, and soon finished the bowl.
Gu Qi smiled and served her another bowl, this time with fish. Gu Qi also handed her a small soup spoon, which Han Wei took and scooped up a piece of the white fish. The fish was delicious; it melted in her mouth as soon as it entered her mouth, nourishing every taste bud.
Han Wei never expected that Gu Qi, that pervert, would have such a special skill. As she was eating, she saw the man in front of her smiling at her, his brows gentle and his golden eyes seemingly filled with tenderness. Han Wei felt uncomfortable under his gaze and looked away.
She scoffed inwardly. If a bowl of fish soup could dissuade her from killing him later, she was underestimating her.

While Han Wei and her apprentice were drinking fish soup and eating fish, Su Rumei was crying in front of Song Xuan and Xie Yun. She sat at the table, tears streaming down her face.
"Han Wei is so cruel. She killed my second senior brother, and she kept chasing me. If I hadn't been lucky, I would have died in the secret realm. So many disciples of the Qingyun Sect have been killed this time, probably because of her." As she spoke, Su Rumei choked up.
This time, the Qingyun Sect sent about a hundred disciples, but only about twenty came out, a more tragic outcome than ever before. The reason for this tragedy was that most of them had been drained of their life essence by Su Rumei. The Qingyun Sect disciples were completely unprepared when they encountered her, making the draining of their life essence all the easier.
Upon hearing this, Song Xuan was furious and glared at Xie Yun:
"Master, Han Wei is going too far. We must kill her."
Xie Yun said coldly, "Is it that I don't want to kill her?"
The thought of the Jade Dragon Fruit tree, the destroyed Fire Spirit Peak, and the rare treasures Han Wei had tricked him out of—he wanted to kill her more than anyone else. Wasn't it because he couldn't find her?
Song Xuan flinched and lowered his head.
"You go out first. I have something to say to your junior sister," Xie Yun ordered Song Xuan.
Song Xuan glanced at Su Rumei, bowed, and withdrew.
After he left, Su Rumei was alone with Xie Yun, and Su Rumei immediately became nervous. She thought about how she had lost her virginity and wondered if her master had noticed. She softly called out, "Master."
Xie Yun said coldly:
"Bring out Tianmei."
Su Rumei's eyes dimmed, and when she looked up, her expression had changed. Wearing Su Rumei's face, the Heavenly Enchantress smiled charmingly at Xie Yun:
"Why are you calling me, Fellow Daoist?"
"How could someone as incapable as you be seriously injured by Han Wei?" Xie Yun's tone was laced with sarcasm.
The Heavenly Demon Mother's face darkened: "That little girl somehow obtained a magical treasure, I can't hurt her at all. Her cultivation technique is exquisite, I don't know what kind of backer she found." After saying this, she looked at Xie Yun with dissatisfaction, "You should have let me possess her back then, then none of this would have happened."
Xie Yun sneered inwardly, "If you had Han Wei's good body, would you still be content?"
"How could I have foreseen this situation?" Xie Yun stood up, took a few steps, then suddenly turned back and asked, "Why do you insist on having Han Wei? Is it just because she has a Heavenly Spiritual Root?"
The Heavenly Enchantress had never asked him to find other women with Heavenly Spiritual Roots, which made Xie Yun very suspicious that Han Wei might have other secrets.
The Heavenly Enchantress's eyes flickered. She said, "Each cultivator can only possess a body once. She used to be an absolute beauty, so naturally she would have to be very selective in choosing a body to possess. Even if she can't compare to my former beauty, she should at least be an absolute beauty. Can you find another female cultivator with an absolute beauty and a Heavenly Spiritual Root?"
This seemed like a plausible reason, but Xie Yun didn't believe it. However, the Heavenly Enchantress clearly didn't want to tell the truth, and Xie Yun was at a loss for what to do with her at this moment.
Xie Yun turned around and walked outside.

More than ten days later.
On the picturesque island, mist hangs in the air, and flowers bloom in vibrant colors. In a waterside pavilion beside a lotus pond, a man in white is playing the zither. A gentle breeze stirs the pink and white lotus blossoms in the pond, causing them to sway softly, and several dragonflies flit among the lotus leaves.
A purple figure emerged from the small bridge. A young woman in a lilac-purple dress, with exquisitely beautiful features, entered the waterside pavilion and spoke to the man playing the zither:
"Master, where are my pills? Have you finished refining them yet?"
Gu Qi looked up at Han Wei and plucked a few notes with his fingers: "It was already refined a long time ago."
After saying this, he stopped playing the zither and with a wave of his hand, bottles of pills appeared on the table beside him.
Han Wei smiled and went over, picked up a bottle, smelled the medicinal aroma, and ate several pills like candy.
Gu Qi looked at her and sighed, "My master is really pitiful. He works so hard, and I don't even get a thank you."
Han Wei paused, turned around and bowed to Gu Qi, smiling as she said, "Thank you, Master, for refining medicine for me."
Gu Qi sighed again: "Verbal thanks, not sincere at all."
Han Wei: "..."
Hey! That's enough already!
"Isn't there even a little bit of actual thanks?" The man's golden eyes looked over, his words seemingly implying something.
Han Wei looked past him and towards the lotus flowers filling the pond outside the waterside pavilion behind him.
Han Wei's body soared into the air, her dress fluttering gracefully. She lightly touched the surface of the pond with her toes, creating gentle ripples, then plucked a lotus flower with her delicate hand and flew back into the waterside pavilion.
The girl in purple held a delicate pink lotus flower and smiled as she handed it to the man in white.
Gu Qi frowned: "Just one lotus flower?"
Is that considered a genuine expression of gratitude?
Han Wei argued, "This is no ordinary lotus flower; it's the most beautiful one I picked from the entire pond."
Gu Qi: "..."
You just picked it casually, would you dare to be any more perfunctory?
Despite his grumbling, he inexplicably reached out and caught the pink lotus flower. Holding the lotus, he looked at the girl in purple before him. The girl smiled happily, her face full of mischievous charm, a hundred times more beautiful than the lotus in his hand.
