Chapter Sixty-Four: Farewell to the Swallow
Spring days are long, and fallen flowers drift in the courtyard.
On the bed in the room, the girl lay face down, her clothes undone and her long hair loose.
The handsome man with black hair and golden eyes was impeccably dressed. He lowered his head, his pupils reflecting her fair, smooth, and alluring body. His fingers pressed on acupoints on the girl's back, green light flashing from his fingertips, and totems of flowers, trees, and leaves occasionally appeared on the girl's fair body.
"Hmm..."
Perhaps he used too much force, for the girl let out a soft moan.
After pressing the acupoints on her back, he reached out and grabbed the girl's soft, slender waist, pulling her into his arms and letting her lean against his chest. Then, he pressed the acupoints on her chest with his large hand.
"Wait, this...this place isn't needed anymore..."
Who told him to massage that area? Han Wei's cheeks flushed red.
He stopped.
She turned around, grabbed the man's arm, and puffed out her cheeks in a huff. She scolded him angrily, "You naughty thing."
As she spoke, she moved one hand along the man's chest to his lower abdomen, and then down...
He didn't react.
continue.
Hearing the man's suppressed panting, she was finally satisfied.
"Hahaha……"
She couldn't manage a proper laugh, unaware of how much the man in front of her wanted to teach her a lesson.
That wretched little girl, she's treating me like a toy.
Han Wei released the man and slowly put on her clothes.
Han Wei stepped outside, the wind blowing in her face. Gazing into the distance, she suddenly sensed something was amiss. She released her divine sense, and found that the city of Zhu Yue was as usual. Cultivators and mortals in both the inner and outer cities went about their daily routines as usual, the markets were still bustling, and nothing seemed different.
The situation in the Star Luo Realm is different from that in the Cloud Mist Realm. In the Star Luo Realm, cultivators and mortals live together. This is because demons roam freely here, and mortals simply cannot survive without cultivators. Zhu Yue City is divided into an outer city and an inner city. The outer city is where mortals gather, while the inner city is where cultivators reside.
Other cities are similar.
Han Wei's dark eyes slowly turned emerald green, and a subtle, wondrous change occurred throughout the entire city of Zhu Yue, extending from within the city to its outskirts. Outside Zhu Yue, the vast forests grew even greener, and the verdant grass trembled slightly.
Then, on the thick trunks of the large trees, green, hidden eye totems appeared.
Thousands of miles outside of Moon Chasing City, a massive demon army, numbering in the millions, is approaching, including tens of thousands of warships. These warships are several times larger than any seen before, and the demon soldiers standing on them are far more powerful.
On one of the magnificent warships, a beautiful woman in silver armor stood at the bow, her long golden hair blowing in the wind.
Recalling her crushing defeat five years ago, Princess Pianran felt incredibly angry and humiliated. She was determined to kill Xu Muyao.
Beside Princess Pianran, besides her personal guards, stood a middle-aged man with his arms crossed. This man appeared to be in his thirties, tall and robust, with brown hair and a silver crown on his head. He was handsome, dressed in red and black armor, and his blood-red cloak fluttered in the wind.
This middle-aged man was a general of the demon race at the Void Refinement stage, named Mo Yang.
"Princess, rest assured, if Xu Muyao is in Zhuyue City, I will surely behead her," Mo Yang said. His gaze towards Princess Pianran was filled with adoration. As Princess Pianran's fiancé, it was only natural for him to admire his future wife.
"No, I want to kill her myself," Princess Pianran said, gritting her teeth as she thought of Xu Muyao.
The warship flew over the mountain peaks, and in the forest below, an eye appeared and disappeared on a towering tree.
Inside the City of Chasing the Moon, Han Wei withdrew her divine sense.
The demon army is heading towards Zhuyue City. Judging from their fierce approach, can Zhuyue City hold out? Has anyone discovered that the demon army has arrived? Han Wei looked towards the tall tower not far away and saw the stream of light formed by the communication talisman flying towards the tower. She guessed that someone must have discovered them.
She turned back, her intuition telling her to prepare early. So she packed up everything in the cave; if the city couldn't be defended, she would run away. If it could be defended, she could come back and put everything back.
She looked at the man dressed in white, his face expressionless.
"Master, let's wait for the storage bag first."
After Han Wei finished speaking, she put Gu Qi into her storage bag.
Then Han Wei left the cave, and as soon as she did, she received a communication talisman from Shen Nanyi:
"Fairy Xu, the demon race is attacking! Come to the White Tower Council Hall immediately."
Han Wei looked towards the distant tower and saw streaks of light shooting out from the city, all heading towards the white tower. Soon, she too became one of these streaks of light.
————
Inside the council hall of the White Tower, a large number of people had gathered. As soon as Han Wei stepped in, all eyes fell on her. Shen Nanyi immediately walked towards her and smiled, "Fairy Xu."
Lu Xiuzhen watched this scene, biting her lip, secretly resentful. She had wanted to cause trouble for Han Wei countless times, but Han Wei was too much of a recluse, always cultivating in her cave.
Han Wei greeted Shen Nanyi, then looked at the others. She recognized most of the people there. Her gaze swept around and landed on a boy leaning against the window.
The boy looked to be about fifteen or sixteen years old and was wearing light blue sashes.
He had very fair skin, long black hair tied in a ponytail with a red ribbon, and golden eyes, much lighter in color than Gu Qi's. He was extremely handsome, tall and slender, with an extraordinary air about him. While everyone else was tense, he leaned lazily against the windowsill, yawning, looking like he hadn't woken up properly.
Han Wei glanced at him a few more times.
He is at the peak of the late Nascent Soul stage, only one step away from the Void Refinement stage.
Han Wei had never seen this young man before.
Perhaps sensing Han Wei's gaze, he looked in her direction, their eyes meeting. After seeing Han Wei's face clearly, he grinned and winked at her.
Han Wei: "..."
Where did this frivolous young man come from?
Seeing Han Wei's stunned expression, the young man seemed to find it amusing, and the corners of his mouth curved into a deeper smile. But he quickly yawned lazily and looked away.
"He's Yan Ci, the disciple of the Lieyang Sect Master. This kid has a very strange temper, so don't pay him any attention," Shen Nanyi transmitted to Han Wei, perhaps having seen Yan Ci flirting with Han Wei.
Han Wei nodded in agreement but said nothing.
Shen Nanyi glanced at Yan Ci and frowned.
He only learned about Yan Ci in recent years; he was surprised that the Lieyang Sect was hiding such a genius.
At just over two hundred years old, he's already at the peak of the late-stage Nascent Soul realm; his talent is nothing short of monstrous. Even my title as the number one genius of Yunzhou pales in comparison to this guy. This guy, like me, possesses a spiritual treasure. Although I haven't seen Yan Ci make a move much, his peak Nascent Soul realm at just over two hundred years old, coupled with his spiritual treasure, makes it clear to everyone that this guy is no ordinary individual.
