Seeing that Hui Shuo seemed to be still in the period shortly after the gathering of immortals for the photo, Wang Yao wondered what he had gone through. He was more concerned with resolving Zhen Huai's matter first, so he didn't waste any more words with Hui Shuo and led everyone back to Xi Fu's room.
Inside Xi Fu's room, all the immortals were still there. Shi Zhongjian, Fu Sigui, and Zhu Danchen were in a hurry to return to the Heavenly Court to report back, so they said goodbye to Wang Yao and asked Yang Gu to remove them. The remaining Zhu Gu, Wang Gu, Jiao Gu, and Ma Gu also took their leave one by one.
Hua Gu seemed to have something to say to Wang Yao. When he saw Wang Yao leading Hui Shuo and the others up, he was stunned. He pulled Hui Shuo aside and asked him all sorts of questions, but he couldn't figure out what had happened to Hui Shuo these past few days.
Yang Gu opened and closed Xi Fu's door, bringing everyone back to Real Prosperity Lane. He then greeted Wang Yao and Hua Tuo, took Wang Yao's iPad, and went out to tidy up the space and clean up the mess.
The remaining few people saw that in the blink of an eye, the room had changed drastically. It was covered with dense scratches, and in some places, large chunks of the wall had been torn off. The tables, chairs, and beds inside the room were all overturned and collapsed. They blinked in disbelief at what they were seeing.
Wang Yao saw that Huang Li and the puppies were still there, but they must have been quite frightened, baring their teeth at everyone they saw. He knew that this was the work of those puppets, but he didn't want to expose them. Instead, he took Yang Quanxing to the bedroom and told him about Zhen Huai.
"Is that so? Isn't it normal to have opinions and debate each other? How could I...? No, no! I'm not that kind of person!" Yang Quanxing shook his head repeatedly, refusing to admit that he was the one who was clinging to Zhen Huai.
“That’s the truth. As long as you don’t sue, no one will sue my uncle. His full name is Yin Zhiping. You can ask at the Jinbu District Police Station.”
Wang Yao knew that Yang Quanxing's personality would definitely change drastically now that the professor was gone, so he didn't argue with him. He simply asked him to withdraw the lawsuit against Zhen Huai.
"Don't worry, if I did it, I'll definitely back down... But... I have no recollection of it at all?" Yang Quanxing shook his head repeatedly, looking pained.
"Just leave, I'll keep an eye on you." Wang Yao nodded and saw Yang Quanxing out of the bedroom, where he saw Tang Meifeng and Chen Jiu looking worried with their wet clothes in hand.
They hadn't been washing for very long, and their clothes weren't dry yet, so it wasn't convenient for them to change. They were quite uncomfortable wearing Xi Fu's clothes and were getting anxious.
Wang Yao wanted to use his magic to "self-cleanse" and dry their clothes so they could change and leave, but Chen Jiu grabbed him and pulled him to a corner of the room.
"Xiao Tang said you're an immortal, do you think you are?" Chen Jiu asked, glaring at Wang Yao.
"Uh... whatever you say goes..." Wang Yao looked at Chen Jiu, inwardly cursing Tang Meifeng for being a busybody. The two of them had only taken a shower and had already sold him out.
"Is Yang Quanxing possessed by some evil spirit? Are you performing a ritual to exorcise it for him today?" Chen Jiu asked again.
"Um...you could say that." Wang Yao nodded.
"Is Yang Quanxing fully recovered now?" Chen Jiu pressed on.
“Not bad.” Wang Yao looked at Chen Jiu, wondering what she wanted to say.
“I guessed so. The way he looks at me now is different from before. We used to have feelings for each other, but that filthy thing ruined it all. I want to ask you for a favor. Old Yang isn’t young anymore, and he’s got no one to take care of him. That’s how that filthy thing got in…”
Listening to what Chen Jiu said, Wang Yao knew exactly what Chen Jiu was thinking. This Professor Chen had a crush on Yang Quanxing for many years, and this was her taking advantage of the situation. However, what she wanted was her own major.
“No problem, no problem, that’s what I was thinking too. If you’re going to help someone, you should go all the way. But Professor Yang has a lot of emotional debts to repay, so you might not have a peaceful time if you take over.” Wang Yao nodded and said.
The professor's puppets didn't stop bothering Yang Quanxing after they woke up. On the contrary, in the past, because of the power of bewitching, they didn't get jealous. But now that they've woken up, they find that they are sharing a man with dozens of other women. Aren't they furious?
Love is sometimes like a battle; once it reaches a certain point, the outcome often becomes irrelevant, and the only goal is to win. How could someone with looks and poise possibly lose? Giving up requires wisdom; most people can't swallow that kind of pride.
Moreover, Professor Chen Jiu is a withered old woman nearing menopause. How could those young girls easily admit defeat? Although they have arranged a marriage and can guarantee Yang Quanxing's loyalty to Chen Jiu, he was too disloyal before. How could there be any less trouble in the future?
It's possible that Professor Chen Jiu will have to clean up his mess; there'll be plenty of trouble.
“I’m willing. Old Yang has suffered too much in the past, and I’m willing to bear the hardships for him in the future…”
Chen Jiu heard the hope in Wang Yao's words and couldn't help but tremble. You see, she hadn't really believed what Tang Meifeng said before. After all, she had been a professor for a long time, and it was a joke to believe in gods and ghosts.
But with Yang Quanxing's repeated changes in appearance today, Chen Jiu couldn't help but suspect that there might indeed be immortals in this world. Now, after hearing Wang Yao's words, Chen Jiu naturally knew that his years of unrequited love were finally going to have a result, and he was so excited that tears were about to flow.
As she spoke, her face was enveloped in a holy glow, as if she were willing and resolute to go to hell if she didn't.
Upon hearing Chen Jiu's words, Wang Yao was taken aback. Old Yang had suffered too much? He had enjoyed too much happiness, hadn't he? But then again, money can't buy willingness. People are willing to jump in on their own. Considering Yang Quanxing's future, Chen Jiu was undoubtedly the most suitable.
