"Didn't the old monk say anything else? Didn't he ask you to pass on any messages to me?" Wang Yao asked incredulously.
Hui Shuo frowned, thought for a moment, and then shook his head vigorously.
“No, it’s just that when I first started chanting the sutras, I kept thinking that I shouldn’t waste time and make my parents wait anxiously, so the old monk told me not to get distracted and to chant the sutras properly,” Hui Shuo said.
Wang Yao nodded and didn't ask any further questions. Looking out the window, he realized it was almost noon, so he called Hui Shuo out of the inn, and the two of them strolled around Ziqiang County.
Ziqiang County is located in a remote area, and the county town is very small. Wang Yao and Hui Shuo left the town without walking much. Wang Yao led Hui Shuo straight to the south of the town. Hui Shuo thought that the two of them had come out to eat, but Wang Yao did not go into a single restaurant and headed straight out of the town. Hui Shuo was a little unhappy.
"Father, Mother, there are no restaurants left here!"
South of Ziqiang County, there is a bumpy cement road with yellowing rice paddies on both sides. Not far away, there are some rolling hills, a typical autumn field scene. Hui Shuo couldn't help but complain when he saw that there was not a single restaurant in sight.
"We'll go back to the city for dinner later. You come with me first," Wang Yao said, beckoning Hui Shuo to continue forward. He had heard from Mo Luopo that he lived in the Laobie Mountain area south of the city, so he wanted to bring Hui Shuo to take a look. One reason was that although he didn't understand the feng shui mentioned by the system, it wouldn't stop him from conducting an on-site survey.
If there were indeed any problems, his mastery of immortal arts was not just for show; he could make some minor adjustments without issue. More importantly, Molupo was able to trigger the Hui Shuo Chanting Sutra, and Wang Yao wanted to see if it could be triggered at Molupo's residence as well.
The two walked quickly and asked a few farmers along the roadside for directions. Before long, they arrived at Laobie Mountain. Just as Molupo had said, it was not far from the city. Wang Yao walked fast, but because they had to wait for the new moon, it took them about an hour to walk.
Moropo should take a little longer, but not by much.
In Wang Yao's eyes, Old Turtle Mountain was actually just a continuous mound of earth shaped like a turtle shell, not very high. He and Hui Shuo didn't rush up the mountain, but instead wandered around its base. Finally, they found a house in a shady ravine, which Wang Yao guessed was probably Mo Luopo's house.
