Chapter 120 Sending Away the Ghost

The busy police officers at the alley entrance were a bit far from the haunted building, and influenced by the yin energy surrounding Lin Yazhi, they couldn't see Wang Yao and Hui Shuo catching ghosts very clearly. They could only see two people jumping around in front of the haunted building, while Lin Yazhi's figure was elusive. With their mortal eyes, the police officers couldn't see her at all.

When Huang, the head constable, returned, he heard from his colleagues that he had actually volunteered to take two strangers to the bottom of the haunted building. He found it unbelievable and felt a bit resentful towards Wang Yao and his colleague. "You guys wanted to go to the bottom of the haunted building to watch the fun, don't drag me into it!"

He didn't blame himself for acting crazy; he only blamed Wang Yao and the other for getting involved while watching the commotion. Wang Yao and the other were downstairs in the haunted building, and he didn't dare to go in. But now that he saw Wang Yao and the other slowly walking out, he immediately shouted at them, secretly planning to arrest them and take them back to the police station.

I had to teach them a good lesson to soothe my frightened heart.

Seeing a group of constables eyeing him and Hui Shuo with predatory intent, Wang Yao, though he had only caught a ghost and hadn't done anything wrong and had nothing to worry about, was too lazy to waste his breath. He had become quite proficient with the magic "Commandment," so he used it again.

"Uh... stop looking. I brought them. Let them go." Constable Huang blinked a few times, his face turning blank again, and said to the patrolmen beside him.

"Didn't you say...?" The surrounding police officers were a little confused by the change in Huang's attitude. Just as they were about to ask further, Wang Yao and Hui Shuo had already walked up to them.

"You've all worked hard. I've taken down the troublesome ghost, so everything should be fine here now." Wang Yao smiled slightly at the patrol officers and strode straight out. The patrol officers blinked, completely bewildered by his leader-like demeanor and what he was saying.

"A vengeful ghost? This...this haunted building is really haunted? Hey, Yellowhead, what does your friend do? Yellowhead?...Yellowhead!..."

"Huh? Hmm? What's going on?" As Wang Yao and Hui Shuo walked away, Huang Butou regained his senses and felt the constables around him pushing him repeatedly. He hurriedly asked.

"Your... friend said they captured the evil spirit here. What does your friend do?" the police officer asked.

"A vengeful ghost? What vengeful ghost? Where is it?" Officer Huang stared wide-eyed in horror.

Wang Yao and Hui Shuo had already left the Ghost Building Village and hailed a taxi on the roadside, heading straight for the Civilization Building. Wang Yao silently thought about what he should do when he arrived in the Underworld. The first thing he would do was, of course, send Lin Yazhi there, but he had more to do in the Underworld than just that.

Putting aside the matter of the Grand Hotel and the Solo Mission, Wang Yao had something else that was bothering him. His Matchmaker interface only showed the human realm and the fairy fairy Caixia occasionally casting small spells in the immortal realm. The underworld, the divine realm, the demon realm, and the monster realm were all closed.

He also wanted to go to the underworld to find out the truth about this matter. If it could be opened, he would open the underworld. The underworld is not like the human world. If a wrong marriage is arranged in the underworld, it will ruin a person's life. The underworld is full of ghosts. Male ghosts and female ghosts are all the same no matter who they are with.

If the underworld could arrange marriages, Wang Yao estimated that his merit points would skyrocket. Otherwise, he didn't know when he would reach the Foundation Establishment stage; his current spiritual power level was 24. He estimated that Foundation Establishment would be at level 31, which would require a considerable amount of merit points.

Wang Yao, accompanied by Hui Shuo, entered the VIP elevator with practiced ease. Wang Yao first put himself in the position of a "good person" to prevent any unexpected situations, and then asked Hui Shuo to take out the wooden fish, ready to strike it, before pressing the button for the 18th floor underground.

Just like going to the immortal realm, the elevator opens with a quick jolt.

"...Aww...I'm Tarzan from next door, grab the vine of love, listen to me, aww..." As soon as the elevator doors opened, a super strong sound wave rushed in, making Wang Yao almost think he had pressed the wrong floor. Was he in a bar or a disco?

Outside the elevator, there were about a dozen men and women lined up in neat rows, dancing to a great rhythm. The lights inside the room were flashing, making it difficult to see what the men and women looked like; all that could be distinguished was whether they had long or short hair.

The two composed themselves, stepped out of the elevator, and the group of men and women ignored them, all engrossed in their dancing.

"Father...Father and Mother, have we...have we arrived at the Underworld already?"

Hui Shuo stammered a question from the side. Before coming to the underworld, Wang Yao had given Hui Shuo a lot of warnings, and the two of them had some guesses about this realm. They thought that the place where the souls of the dead went was bound to be eerie and gloomy, and they never expected that it would be so lively here.

"Um..." Wang Yao cleared his throat, wanting to speak. Now that he was in the underworld, he knew nothing. If he didn't ask the ghosts, he really wouldn't know where to go. A disheveled guy standing at the front of the line, shaking his head, reached out and gestured to Wang Yao.

Wang Yao realized that the other person meant he should wait a moment, so he had no choice but to shut his mouth and watch the group's dance. After watching for a while, he felt that, to be honest, it was much better than the square dancing of the middle-aged women he used to watch in Fanrong Lane.

Although the dance moves of these guys were not complicated, they were all performed exceptionally well and in perfect unison. Every move they made was full of power and vitality, which reminded Wang Yao of a movie he had watched before he transmigrated.

The film was about dancers, and one of the lines was "to dance with one's life." Wang Yao was deeply impressed by it; he felt that these guys had that kind of drive to dance with their lives on their side.

Watching them dance and listening to the upbeat music, Wang Yao himself felt a strong urge to join in.
