Chapter 121 Miracle

"Look at you, so naive and unsophisticated!" Ma Fan laughed heartily and sprinted forward.

Holy crap, the entire interface has been built into a skyscraper! What kind of audacity is this? This is simply a miracle! Wang Yao found himself traveling through a miracle, and his resentment gradually faded away. He couldn't think of anything more awesome than this.

As Hui Shuo glided forward, Wang Yao saw that all the doors on both sides of the corridor were open, unlike the Nantianmen Customs Administration, where almost every office door was tightly closed, as if a virgin was locked inside, afraid of being seen.

In the underworld, all the doors were wide open, and ghosts came and went frequently, making it extremely convenient. The walls between the doors were also covered with motivational slogans and the like, with Wang Yao noticing the most common one being, "Did you work hard today?"

There are also motivational platitudes like, "Believe in yourself, and your happiness in the next life is in your hands," and "Use one minute as if it were two, and you won't waste your precious time."

Seeing slogans like "If you don't behave like a ghost today, you'll only be a chicken tomorrow" and "One lazy ghost, the whole group is a pig," Wang Yao was speechless. How could such insults be posted so openly on the wall? Are all ghosts in the underworld this low in quality? Wang Yao really couldn't understand it.

The light in the hallway was like that of fluorescent lights covered with a layer of green tint, giving it a greenish glow, but it was still quite bright, so even nearsighted people wouldn't be bothered here.

After running for several more kilometers, the ceiling suddenly rose by about four or five meters, and Hui Shuo slid into a wide plaza inside the building.

The square was ablaze with neon lights, teeming with ghosts, and bustling with activity. Several large LCD screens, arranged at varying heights, were playing advertisements, making it almost as lively as a bustling city center in the human world.

The square was surrounded by shops, their colorful windows displaying a dazzling array of goods. Some of the female ghosts, dressed in flamboyant attire, wore very little clothing, revealing their lotus-root-like white bodies, leaving Wang Yao dumbfounded.

I felt that the underworld was more prosperous than the human world, and the female ghosts seemed to be prettier than the women in the human world. Not only were they alluring, but most importantly, they were much more open than the open women in the human world. They only wore one or two strips of cloth on their bodies, yet they walked there gracefully.

Some of the female ghosts saw Wang Yao and his companion and started winking, waving, and making faces, making Wang Yao blush. Hui Shuo could only sit there, skateboarding and chanting scriptures.

"This way, this way..." Ma Fan was used to all this and hurriedly pointed to a place where the outer wall was full of ornately decorated shop windows, like a large shopping mall. The mall's open door was more than ten meters wide, but the ghostly crowd was still surging and there was no room for relaxation.

A huge LCD screen connected to the ceiling above the main entrance is playing an advertisement featuring a charming female ghost striking poses and constantly touching her face with her fingers.

Wang Yao glanced at it; it seemed to be an advertisement for some kind of cosmetics. He only noticed the tagline, "Manjusaka, you deserve it..."

Upon entering the gate, instead of seeing merchandise shelves, there was a row of seven or eight doors in front of them, and the ghosts that entered surged toward different doors one by one.

Ma Fan instructed Hui Shuo to slip into the central gate. After entering, there was an upward slope. Although it was not steep, Hui Shuo was too tired to continue sliding and jumped off the skateboard.

"If you don't want to put in any effort, how can you improve?" Ma Fan muttered in dissatisfaction, took the skateboard, and started gliding uphill. Surprisingly, he was quite fast. Wang Yao and the other man followed behind, and had no choice but to exercise passively again, starting to jog uphill.

The ramp wasn't long, only about one floor up, before turning into a straight stairwell with open doors on both sides. Ma Fan suddenly sped up.

Wang Yao was about to complain to Hui Shuo about why he had given the skateboard back to Ma Fan when he saw Ma Fan had already stopped in front of a door on the right.

Wang Yao and the other man caught up with him. Ma Fan jumped off his skateboard, picked it up, and tucked it under his arm. He led Wang Yao and Hui Shuo through the door. Behind the door was another slope leading down to a plaza at the bottom, about one-fifth the size of the previous commercial plaza.

The square was completely empty, with no buildings in sight. Only a few ghosts anxiously peered out to both sides. Wang Yao noticed that there were two deep ditches, each two or three meters wide, on either side of the square.

He looked around and saw that these deep trenches stretched out neatly to both sides, seemingly without end. It turned out that almost every door on the right side of the stairwell they had come down led to a plaza divided by two deep trenches on either side.

Wang Yao ran to the edge of the ditch and looked around. The ditch was about four or five meters deep, and it looked like a dark hole had been opened in the front and back of a building. He didn't know where it led.

He was wondering what the purpose of leaving such a large tunnel in the building was when suddenly he heard a "whoosh" and a white shadow rushed over, the strong wind it generated almost knocking Wang Yao to the ground.

"Get on the plane quickly! Get on the plane quickly!"

Wang Yao was startled. He could already hear Ma Fan urging him. He and Hui Shuo were pushed into a car that looked like a subway by Ma Fan in a daze. Before he could ask anything, he felt his body suddenly lean back and bump into a ghost behind him with a "bang".

"Hey! Is this your first time riding a time machine... Ouch! Are you some kind of immortal? You... you don't even know the rules? Immortals randomly bumping into ghosts in the underworld? They'll kill the ghosts, you know that?"
