Chapter 137 Corpse Gas Syndrome

A ghost carrying a piece of human flesh walked towards Wang Yao. Wang Yao felt helpless. He was already quite tired from being busy all this time, and he had no energy left to reason with these ghosts. However, he couldn't bring himself to kill this kind-hearted ghost.

Just as he was about to refuse, the ghost unexpectedly handed the human flesh to Wang Yao's side—the female ghost who had been following Wang Yao.

"Although it's frozen, it's almost thawed. The flesh on its buttocks is very tender. You've just been poisoned by corpse energy, so you should replenish it quickly," the ghost said to the female ghost beside Wang Yao.

"Thank you, but I don't eat human flesh," the female ghost said with a smile, shaking her head. Wang Yao looked at the female ghost beside him in surprise. He had thought that all ghosts in the underworld were corrupt, but he hadn't expected that there would be ghosts who would voluntarily refrain from eating human flesh. This gave Wang Yao a deeper understanding of the underworld.

After resting briefly, he thought of discussing with Hui Shuo about going back to the passage to find the source of the corpse energy.

Hui Shuo was exhausted. He took the food that Wang Yao and the ghosts had snatched from the shopping center for him and wolfed it down to fill his stomach. Hui Shuo had been eating all this food along the way, so there was still some left, but not much.

As for the drinks that Wang Yao was worried about, such as "Netherworld Spring" or "Fierce Ghost," Hui Shuo was so thirsty that he didn't care about anything else and drank quite a few bottles. Wang Yao saw that Hui Shuo didn't show any abnormalities, so he didn't bother to do anything more.

"Father, Mother, are we going again?" Hui Shuo looked at Wang Yao with a mournful face.

"Why don't you rest here and I'll go take a look?" Although Hui Shuo had been carried by ghosts almost the entire way, he was still a mortal. This was a long journey that had lasted for several days, and Hui Shuo hadn't had a proper sleep. Taking a nap on a ghost's body would hardly relieve his fatigue.
