Chapter 190 Underworld Connection

"Xiao Wang, do this: go down and make demands one by one, slowly. Once you've made all your demands, use this as your final trump card. Do you understand? You have to force these devils to close your interface and send you away as soon as possible," Cao Xian instructed Wang Yao.

"How could that be? These devils are all incredibly difficult to reason with. Why would I even need to make this request? A mere ban on the sale of human-made machines would be enough to send me to my grave," Wang Yao said, shaking his head.

"Not necessarily, not necessarily. Just remember, as long as you don't close your Netherworld interface, you absolutely must not leave. Just stand by and offer your opinions. As long as we are in the Netherworld, we are in a position to face the calamity. Make your demands before taking action, it's perfectly normal. There are some subtle points you need to carefully grasp."

Cao Xian's expression turned serious, and he spoke earnestly to Wang Yao.

"Hmm...you mean...all my previous requests were to force him to close my interface. If he even hands over this last request, the Underworld Pass, then I have to take things seriously?" Wang Yao's mind raced, and he understood Cao Xian's meaning.

"Yes, these devils are the best at crying. They'll definitely cause chaos and make you anxious and frustrated, to the point where you feel you have to take action. But remember, once you start fighting, it will be too late to make demands. You'll be led by the nose by these devils."

"You must harden your heart and have an iron will that will not waver even if all the ghosts in the underworld die. Only then can you force the King of Hell to lose his temper. Then he can shut down your interface, we can just leave and go to heaven. We can still say that the underworld has some bad points no matter where we go." Cao Xian nodded.

Hearing this, Wang Yao understood what Cao Xian meant. Cao Xian didn't really want to stay in the underworld to face the tribulation, but he had to bite the bullet and go up to the seventeenth floor because of his duty. So he came up with this crazy idea.

To put it bluntly, this method is to ask for an exorbitant price, forcing Yama to close his Netherworld interface. Once Wang Yao's matchmaking interface for the Netherworld is closed, Cao Xian can legitimately leave the Netherworld. Without an immortal to deal with the spirit body, the Netherworld office has already suffered heavy casualties and cannot afford any more losses.

If Yama stubbornly refuses to close the gate, then we'll use our trump card: demand that Yama hand over the "Underworld Pass." If Yama neither hands it over nor closes the interface, then we'll just stay in the Underworld, no matter how great the floods there are, we'll remain unmoved.

Deep down, Wang Yao didn't think it needed to go through all that trouble. He simply had no faith in these Kings of Hell. Let alone bringing up the matter of handing over the "Underworld Pass," Wang Yao estimated that the moment that Five Senses King saw him, that bastard would probably have to hastily close his Underworld interface.

While it's remarkable that he can deal with spirit bodies, he's not the only immortal in the celestial realm capable of doing so. Didn't King Qin Guang say he was looking for some Master Bu Ke Bu Jie? He believes that master can also deal with spirit bodies. Since there are other immortals who can handle them, why should Yama bow down to him?

However, although he disagreed in his heart, he did not say it out loud. After all, Cao Xian wanted to leave the Underworld, which was the same as his goal. If Cao Xian did not leave, he would be dragged down. So as long as he could leave the Underworld, he didn't necessarily need to be fussy about the means.

The immortals walked for a while along the narrow, alley-like road of the Demon-Suppressing Immortal City. The fairy stopped in front of an inconspicuous three-story building by the roadside, pushed open the small door downstairs, and went in. There was a steep staircase leading up to a double door, and then a passageway.

One side of the corridor faces the street with open windows, and the other side has four rooms side by side. The door to the first room was closed, and the fairy maiden simply pushed the door open and went in.

Wang Yao followed behind and went inside to take a look. He had been here before. "Diligence leads to mastery," as the saying goes. Fairy Maiden, Fairy Cao, and Liu Xikai ignored the enthusiastic gatekeeper, but Wang Yao smiled at him.

He wanted to ask the immortal about the great calamity in the human world, but seeing that the fairy had already opened the elevator door, he had no choice but to hurry up and follow her.

Stepping out of the elevator, you are greeted by a small hall furnished with a row of sofas, wooden wall lamps shaped like Western gods, an elaborate Western-style chandelier, and a floor lamp shaped like a scantily clad female Western god, filling the room with warm light.

"What does it smell like?" the fairy asked, sniffing the air.

"Damn, these are foreign cigars. They smell like they're from the Western Seas. They're high-end stuff," Cao Xian clicked his tongue.

Wang Yao noticed an ashtray the size of a washbasin on the coffee table next to the sofa. Several baby-like little foreign gods with wings were carved around the ashtray. Seven or eight cigars of varying degrees of burning were thrown into the ashtray. Liu Xikai went over and rummaged through them, seemingly choosing one that hadn't been smoked much.

"Have you no shame? Picking up cigarette butts like that?" Cao Xian shouted from behind.

"What are you saying? I was checking how long the cigarette had been out. You're old and your eyesight isn't good. I was helping you, and you're saying I was picking up cigarette butts? Don't you know I quit smoking a month ago?" Liu Xikai threw down the cigar butt in his hand and glared at Cao Xian.

"Honestly, why isn't there even a guide? With the corpse energy causing chaos in the underworld, there's no order at all," the fairy said discontentedly.

The immortals did not linger in the hall. On the other side of the hall was a heavy wooden door. The fairy went over and pushed the door open, only to find that the scene outside looked like a midnight party, with the night deep and colorful lights shining.

Before us, a winding cobblestone path stretched out, lined with gracefully swaying trees adorned with colorful lights that twinkled in the night.

In the darkness, it was impossible to tell what kind of trees they were. All that was known was that these trees had been carefully cultivated to form a maze-like garden. Under the decoration of colorful lights, some looked like gates entwined with flower branches, some like open-air temples like those of the Western gods, and others were shaped like various animals.
