Chapter 204 Single Log

"The essence has escaped inside, so it's hard to say if the lair is inside. I'll use the Yin Soul Guide to take a look." Yama shook his head, stretched out his finger, and poked a few times into the depths of the pipe.

"What's going on? Why can't I cast my Soul Summoning spell?" King Yama stared in astonishment. At the same time, the soul ants that had been flying around him turned into wisps of black smoke and disappeared in a flash.

"How is this possible? Huh? Why is my skeleton formation also out of control?" King Song looked at all this, and just as he showed a surprised expression, he cried out in terror.

"I...I can't maintain my ghostly form anymore!" King Qin Guang exclaimed in horror. His body quickly shrank and became thinner, and his armor vanished instantly, returning him to his original robed state.

"Don't panic. Think about what we've been through along the way. What could possibly make our spellcasting abilities disappear?" Yama shouted.

"Blood! It's damn dog blood!" King Qin Guang's eyes darted around, and he suddenly screamed in alarm.

Several Yama Kings, including Wang Yao, looked up at their feet and saw that their shoes were stained with blood. This was from stepping on the fragments of the corpse puppet. By now, the blood had seeped into their shoes and socks and had taken effect on the Yama Kings.

"These are not ordinary dogs; they must be Soul-Devouring Dogs of the Demon Clan. Otherwise, they wouldn't have such a strong restraining effect on us," Yama said in a deep voice.

"The demon race? Why are the demon race making trouble for our Underworld?" King Qin Guang asked in astonishment.

"Can you contact the fairy?" Yama King did not answer King Qin Guang, but turned to Wang Yao and asked.

"Unable to contact her." Wang Yao shook his head. The fairy must have been greatly frightened by the sudden attack by the spirit, but he didn't know where she had teleported to.

"Let's clean up the bloodstains from the demon dog first." Yama and the others sat down on the spot, took off their shoes and socks, and saw that the black smoke on their blood-stained feet dissipated, returning them to their original color.

"Damn it, Old Song, do you scholars have such smelly feet?" King Qin Guang said to Emperor Song.

"Who told you to smell it? If you don't like the smell, just don't smell it," Emperor Song said calmly.

"Damn it, your feet are dangling right in front of me, how can I not smell them? They stink like hell!" King Qin Guang looked like he was in excruciating pain.

“Although the surface bloodstains have been cleaned, the dog blood remaining in our Yin energy will not be completely removed for at least three or four hours. During this time, we can only stay here and wait…” Before Yama could finish speaking, a commotion arose outside the Three-Way Center.

Upon hearing this voice, the faces of the several Yama Kings all changed drastically. King Qin Guang, no longer bothering to argue with King Song, leaned over the escalator to look down and saw the corpse puppets squeezing in one by one through the small steel door.

"Old Yama, why do I feel like this guy is very familiar with our underworld?" King Song said to King Yama. "It seems like he's deliberately leading us into a trap."

“That’s right. Before we set off, I heard from the Old Man of the Moon that the enemy was using a black donkey to make a corpse puppet, and I already felt something was wrong. Think about it, he knew that there were immortals residing in my Underworld, so he sent out his spirit. The corpse puppets in front were all made with ordinary blood, but only in the corpse puppet in the center of this three passages was the blood of a demon dog mixed in.”

King Qin Guang nodded in agreement.

"It's no use talking about this now. The corpse puppet will be climbing up soon. We are now just ordinary mortals, and we can only rely on the Old Man of the Moon to hold us off. I don't think the Fairy Maiden will teleport too far away. As long as we can hold out until she comes back, we will be saved," Yama said to Wang Yao.

"Huh? Relying on me? I... this..." Wang Yao was dumbfounded. He hadn't even reached the Foundation Establishment stage yet. It was no joke for him to fight against these corpse puppets head-on. Let alone the high-level humanoid corpse puppets, he was no match for even the low-level ones. What could he possibly rely on?

"Please replenish our protective shields first," Yama said again.

"We...we need to add a protective shield?" Wang Yao felt even worse.

He reinforced the protective shield for the three Yama Kings, and when he turned around, he saw that the corpse puppets were indeed mindless, only knowing how to run around aimlessly below. They hadn't yet found the staircase to go upstairs, but more and more corpse puppets were coming in through the small door.

They wander around the three-way center one by one, and at this rate, they'll eventually climb onto the workbench.

Wang Yao frowned and thought for a moment. He then used the "Wood Control" technique, and a seed fell downstairs. It quickly grew into a vine that snaked around the ground, searching for wooden items. However, there wasn't a single wooden item in the entire Santong Center.

One of the corpse puppets tripped over the vines and tore wildly. Wang Yao felt his connection with the seed break, and the "Wood Control" was actually broken.

After thinking for a moment, he unleashed "Imperial Gold" again. The little golden sword stabbed back and forth among the corpse puppets downstairs. Wang Yao felt his spiritual energy plummeting downwards. Not to mention the high-level corpse puppets, even the low-level ones were completely unaware. However, it caused a gasp from the three Yama Kings on the platform.

"Don't prick me! If you prick me until I bleed, it will force us to seal our spells again."

Seeing that "Controlling Gold" was useless, Wang Yao was about to try other spells when, unexpectedly, some corpse puppets discovered the upward ladder. First, several little yellow men hopped and skipped up the steps.

Wang Yao flung out several protective shields, transforming the Minions into chimneys on the escalator. But then, a raccoon-like corpse puppet quickly climbed up the escalator handrail.

Upon seeing this, Wang Yao hurriedly used the "Servant" skill to send the raccoon cat directly to the door of the Three-Way Center before stopping. However, just as he withdrew the "Servant" skill, several low-level corpse puppets had already climbed the escalator and were coming up.

Damn it, "water control" is definitely useless, so I might as well try "fire control." When I tested it at home, "fire control" was the most powerful, almost burning the house down. Wang Yao thought to himself as a spark flew towards the leading corpse puppet. The corpse puppet came up incredibly quickly and had already reached the middle platform.
