"What? You're a celestial being within the system!" The two butterfly spirits stared at Wang Yao as if they had discovered a new continent, their eyes sparkling with curiosity.
"Yeah, is that so strange?" Wang Yao looked at the two of them with a puzzled expression.
"You...you are a new envoy from the Immortal Realm, sent to reside permanently in our Holy Realm?" The butterfly spirit, who was forking fruit, stopped and asked hurriedly.
"No, no, I haven't heard that the Immortal Realm's office in the Holy Realm has changed personnel." The butterfly spirit in front of Wang Yao hurriedly shook her head.
"I'm here in the Holy Land on some personal business; it has nothing to do with the office," Wang Yao nodded.
"Ah! You're a good friend of the Great Immortal Tongxuan. I heard that this Zhanghuang Express was requested by the Great Immortal Tongxuan, is that right?" The butterfly spirit with the fruit forked asked as if she had just realized something.
Wang Yao smiled but didn't answer. Instead, he reached out and took the fork from the butterfly spirit's hand, forked a piece of fruit, and put it in his mouth. He thought to himself, "What kind of immortal is this? This is almost like Journey to the West."
I do have a connection with that mysterious immortal, but we're not good friends, we're enemies, and damn it, it's a feud over the theft of my child.
"Immortal, please have some tea. This is tea specially supplied by our Zhanghuang Express. Each leaf was carefully tasted by an unmarried young silkworm maiden, so the flavor is the most authentic. It's a tribute item in our Zhanghuang tribe." Seeing that Wang Yao hadn't drunk any tea, another butterfly spirit pointed to the brewed tea.
Wang Yao had indeed wanted to have some tea, as the fruits from the demon realm were cloyingly sweet, and he was thinking of using tea to rinse them off. However, after hearing the butterfly spirit's words, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.
Strangely enough, even if Wang Yao were asked to chew on mulberry leaves that silkworms had gnawed on in the human realm, he probably wouldn't experience any physical discomfort other than wondering about his own behavior.
But ever since he entered this demon realm, he has unconsciously come to regard all the spirits and monsters as human beings. The thought that the tea he was drinking had been contaminated with someone else's saliva made him feel physically disgusted.
"But I wonder if the Immortal is a renowned immortal in the Immortal Realm, or...?" The butterfly spirit didn't guess the subtle change in Wang Yao's emotions. When these spirits went crazy, it was normal for them to eat the flesh of their own kind. Eating saliva from something that wasn't even their own kind was nothing to them.
Moreover, the tea leaves held in the mouth of a young silkworm maiden do indeed produce a unique fragrance, and have always been considered the finest tea among the Zhanghuang tribe. If it weren't for the fact that the Zhanghuang Express always transported important guests of the tribe and was specially supplied by the tribe, they really wouldn't be able to bring out such a precious item.
"I am a serving immortal." Wang Yao nodded, secretly wondering to himself, "Judging from the butterfly spirit's words, do all serving immortals have titles? I've never heard of them. Could it be that I haven't been an immortal long enough and there are still things I don't understand about the rules of the immortal realm?"
That makes sense. Aside from going to the Immortal Realm to absorb spiritual energy and change interface panels, Wang Yao, this immortal, has never actually stayed in the Immortal Realm, nor has he received any proper training in Immortal Realm knowledge. Of course, he listened to some of Director Liu's explanations, but he didn't write down others. After all, there was no exam, so who has the patience to memorize?
"Oh? May I ask what your honored guest's name is?" Upon hearing Wang Yao's words, the two butterfly spirits stopped what they were doing and stared at Wang Yao's face with their beautiful eyes.
“I am…” Wang Yao was about to reveal his identity as the matchmaker when he suddenly felt a chill. Logically speaking, shouldn’t the Great Immortal Tongxuan have informed the Zhanghuang Clan of the passengers’ identities when he mobilized the Zhanghuang Express? How could these two flight attendants not know?
On another note, if the Zhanghuang tribe has a rule to keep the identities of passengers on the Zhanghuang Express confidential, then the fact that these two butterfly spirits repeatedly asked about their identities would be a blatant violation of the tribe's rules, which is quite strange.
He's new to the demon realm and still doesn't know anything, so he should proceed with caution.
Upon realizing this, Wang Yao quickly stopped talking, smiled nonchalantly, and forked another piece of fruit into his mouth. He wondered what kind of fruit it was; it was sickeningly sweet. His mouth was dry if he didn't eat it, but it was even drier if he did. He thought about having some tea, but then decided against it.
The two butterfly fairies exchanged a glance, and one of them smiled, straightened up, and put her hands on Wang Yao's shoulders.
"You must be tired from sitting, esteemed guest. Let me give you a shoulder massage," the butterfly spirit said with a charming smile.
"Don't move, don't move, let me massage your body, esteemed guest." Another butterfly spirit shrank down and burrowed into Wang Yao's arms, her hands flying up and down, groping Wang Yao's body haphazardly.
Good heavens! These two butterfly spirits have some nerve, daring to openly molest an immortal!
Wang Yao felt four hands touching his body, especially the butterfly spirit on the left who suddenly snuggled into his arms. All he could see was a head with fluffy hair and a section of fair neck. A sweet fragrance filled his nose, and he was terrified.
Logically speaking, Wang Yao was not a gentleman who could remain unmoved by a woman's advances. If it were Fairy Caixia throwing herself into his arms, he probably would have lost control and acted recklessly.
However, these two had only known each other for a short time, and Wang Yao had no feelings for them at all. Moreover, the carriage was completely transparent, and the firefly spirits hanging outside could see everything that happened inside clearly.
If these monsters turn around and accuse me of taking advantage of the two butterfly spirits, and demand compensation for reputational damage, I won't be able to explain myself clearly. And most importantly, these two are butterflies, not human at all!
Although he had unconsciously started treating spirits as humans after entering the demon realm, that was in normal interactions. Once they entered into a physical relationship, Wang Yao immediately felt extremely uncomfortable.
They are not human! They are not human! Shouts kept rising from the bottom of his heart, like muffled thunder exploding in Wang Yao's mind.
