The Cloud-Ascending Beast felt pain in its right forelimb, then slipped on its left hind limb. Coupled with the pain from the fierce battle, its injuries were accumulating and severely affecting its control over its body. Under these repeated blows, it could no longer stand and collapsed to the ground with a thud.
"Hey, how are you?" Wang Yao quickly asked, holding the Cloud-Ascending Beast's head.
The Cloud-Ascending Beast was already exhausted from fighting, but it was forced into a corner by the Fire Crow and couldn't escape. When it saw Wang Yao, it couldn't help but let out a soft, aggrieved roar.
"I told you to shrink, but you wouldn't listen. You tried to show off like others, and now you're suffering the consequences. Hurry up and shrink, and I'll take care of this dead bird for you."
Wang Yao sensed the grievance in Dengyun Beast's voice. While scolding it, he couldn't help but feel a surge of hatred in his heart. Damn it, you have to consider the owner before you beat a dog. How dare you hit my beast! I'll teach you a lesson! He completely forgot that this fight was actually started by Dengyun Beast.
The fire crow was lurking here on a mission, but it was discovered by the cloud-riding beast.
Seeing the powerful members of the Zhanghuang clan gather around, Fire Crow knew that his mission had failed and it was hard to say whether he could get out alive. He hated the culprit, the Cloud-Ascending Beast, even more.
It paid no attention to Wang Yao, who was as short as a Hobbit. One of its paws stepped on the chest of the Cloud Ascension Beast, and its sharp beak pecked at the head of the Cloud Ascension Beast, wishing it could peck out the eyes of the Cloud Ascension Beast in one bite.
Having suffered a loss, the Cloud-Ascending Beast was no longer going to put up a fight. Upon hearing Wang Yao's words, its body rapidly shrank, becoming the size of a mouse. The Fire Crow's claws immediately missed their mark, and the Cloud-Ascending Beast slid into Wang Yao's arms, its body still trembling incessantly.
The fire crow, halfway through its pecking motion, suddenly realized that the Cloud-Ascending Beast had vanished, leaving only a tiny figure beneath its beak. The beast, enraged, disregarded everything else and continued pecking at Wang Yao's head without hesitation, nearly shattering the figure's skull with a single bite.
Unexpectedly, its sharp beak slid down Wang Yao's head and landed to the side, causing a collective gasp from those around.
