Wang Yao traveled from Zhanghuang tribe to Yi tribe by private plane. Zhuang Sha and Bing Ren served him carefully throughout the journey, and he had a good impression of them. Moreover, he was also acquainted with Teng Wuji from the embassy. When he heard that Lady Lian wanted to kill them, he hurriedly shouted to the big-headed man beside him.
"We in the Holy Land don't have those stinking rules. I, the Lady, would even raze the Zhang and Huang clans to the ground, let alone these few scoundrels. It's just right to kill them and let the children have a taste of meat," Lady Lian replied nonchalantly.
Lady Lian did not change her mind, so Wang Yao's words naturally did not count.
Without the slightest hesitation, the swarming Yi people around her stirred up a commotion in front of Lady Lian. The dark and thin Fu-type, the mantis-like Mang-type, the butterfly-like Bin-type, and other insects of various shapes were all brought over by the Yi warriors.
Regardless of their cultivation level, all of these Zhanghuang clansmen had reverted to their original forms, each with broken wings and legs, looking utterly wretched and clearly having endured a fierce battle.
Wang Yao looked closely and seemed to vaguely spot the figures of Zhuang Sha, Bing Ren, and Teng Wuji among them.
However, they had all reverted to their original forms and mingled in the group, looking dejected. They were also far away, and apart from Teng Wuji's ladybug shell, which was still easy to identify, the other Zhuang Sha and Bing Ren were not so easily recognizable.
"Raise the flag!" Gao Xiaoshan shouted, raising her sword. The B-clan executioners that Wang Yao had expected did not appear. Instead, a commotion arose in the distance, and plumes of dust rose from the horizon. Soon after, a torrent of Zerg appeared before Wang Yao.
Those large insects were a meter long, with six legs on the ground, plump bodies and wide hips, slender waists, and two long antennae standing upright on their heads. They were no different from the ants that Wang Yao had seen, except that they were much, much larger.
These endless ant armies surged like a rising tide towards the Zhanghuang tribe captives, who were surrounded by the Yi tribe people from above and below.
There were no shouts of killing, no cries of pain, only a chilling crunching sound. Wang Yao saw that the guy who looked like Teng Wuji was completely obscured by the endless ants in the blink of an eye, and he could not be recognized at all when he looked again.
The Zhanghuang tribe captives had clearly been subjected to some kind of treatment; they simply stood there blankly, waiting for the ants to pounce on them. These ants, one or two at a time, would expose their two steel-knife-like mandibles on their heads and devour the fallen Zhanghuang tribesmen.
The massacre proceeded in silence and methodically. These ants were never greedy; they would usually take two or three bites and then retreat, forming another torrent heading into the distance. However, their destructive power was too great. With one bite, the Zhanghuang clansmen would surely have their chests ripped open, their abdomens ripped apart, their heads severed, and their bodies maimed.
The ant tide only briefly washed over them before thousands of Zhang Huang people lay dead, not a single one alive. The ants continued to surge forward, and with each receding tide, a large portion of the Zhang Huang people's remains could be seen missing.
"These are the sleeping guardians of my clan. Immortal, take a look, aren't they quite good?" Lady Lian, who had no facial features, asked Wang Yao triumphantly.
Wang Yao felt a pang of sorrow watching this scene. He shook his head slightly, too lazy to answer her, thinking to himself that the demon realm was indeed full of beasts and could not be judged by the moral standards of the human realm.
Two ant armies surged back and forth in front of Wang Yao. Suddenly, Gao Xiaoshan shouted again, and the two armies immediately retreated. When Wang Yao looked again, the place where Zhang Huang's prisoners had been was now a white expanse.
Apart from a few specks of dirt, not even a single wing fragment was left.
As the two waves of slumbering guards departed, an army of ants emerged from under almost every mud pillar around Wang Yao. He noticed that no ants were emerging from under a mud pillar not far to his left, and guessed that this was probably the Building No. 2 that the Yi people had mentioned.
This was a terrifying force. These ant armies crawled out from under every mud pillar of the Mother City, gradually converging like trickling streams into an overwhelming ocean of ants, and then resolutely crawled towards the distance.
The warriors of the B race flying in the sky also gathered together, like dark clouds floating above the sea of ants, and left one after another with them.
Before the ant ocean and the B-clan warriors around her had finished walking, Lady Lian also began to move. Her majestic body slowly rose up, like a mountain flying in the air. As the ant ocean flew forward, a large group of B-clan warriors separated and surrounded Lady Lian.
This march towards the Zhanghuang tribe was much slower than when Wang Yao had come by Zhanghuang's private plane. Lady Lian was not in a hurry and floated slowly above the ant army.
As the ant army left Mother City, it continuously received teams from other cities of the Yi Clan who came to join the battle. The ant army grew larger and larger, with a width of over a thousand meters and a length that Wang Yao could not see the end of, even standing on Lady Lian's shoulders.
After leaving the city of Muyi, Lady Lian did not issue any more orders. Instead, she chatted idly with Wang Yao, and openly introduced many aspects of the Yi tribe.
Wang Yao then realized that these so-called sleeping guards were actually the offspring of Lady Lian's daughters. Because they had married Lady Lian's sons, their own brothers, it was a true case of incestuous marriage, and these offspring were born with congenital deficiencies.
Sleeping Guardians cannot evolve, and they can only remain in a dormant state after birth. They can only grow normally in a dormant state. Once awakened, their growth will stagnate, and they will die one after another within six months to one month.
