Chapter 257 Fox Demon

She was surrounded by more than a dozen powerful Liang clan members, forming an impenetrable encirclement. Lady Lian swayed back and forth within this defensive formation, as if she couldn't move freely, leaving many gaps in her defense. The Liang clan members continued to attack her.

Some warriors from the Yi clan nearby tried to rush to the rescue, but they were held back by an equal number of powerful Liang clan members and were unable to break free.

Seeing this, Wang Yao immediately stepped onto the back of the Sleeping Guard and headed towards the center of the Yi Clan army, where Lady Lian, like an isolated island, rushed over.

"Hey! What the hell's wrong with you?" Wang Yao ran to the edge of the Iron Bucket Formation, jumped off the back of the Sleeping Guard, and shouted at Lady Lian. At the Iron Bucket Formation, the Sleeping Guard had voluntarily given up a clearing, and Lady Lian, hidden among the trees, didn't seem to show any unusual behavior.

However, her big head had no facial features, so you couldn't tell her expression at all. Even if she did something wrong, Wang Yao probably wouldn't be able to notice.

"I think I've seen this thing before in the City of Mothers..." Lady Lian replied in a muffled voice.

"What is that?" By the light of the forest fire, Wang Yao glanced at Lady Lian several times through the leaping fox demon beside her, and then noticed a large, uneven lump on her red body, as if she had an allergic reaction.

This mass was extremely large, covering almost half of Lady Lian's body. Originally, Lady Lian's red body was almost entirely a weapon, capable of unleashing red light and extending arms at any time. But now, in the areas covered by the mass, no red light or arms could be seen.

Conversely, when the powerful Liang clan attacked, the lump could quickly dodge, allowing the attack to land squarely on Lady Lian. Even though Lady Lian was highly skilled, under such a strange seal, her body was repeatedly hit, causing her to stagger and sway precariously.

"Essence?!" The word immediately popped into Wang Yao's mind. Just as he was about to go over, a fox demon suddenly jumped out in front of him.

The fox demon had a white cloth tied around his head, and his sparse hair looked like he had bald patches. He had a belt slung over his shoulder and a pistol in his hand. Without saying a word, he stood in front of Wang Yao and fired repeatedly at his head.

"This kid's weird. I've emptied three magazines, and he's not hurt at all!" the fox demon shouted, panting, as he fired his gun.

"Holy crap! What the hell is this?!"

Wang Yao was stunned by the fox demon's appearance. After a moment of stunned silence, he realized that the fox demon had probably been attacking him with its box gun the whole way. Luckily, the fox demon was fast enough to avoid being swallowed by the sleeping guards along the way.

However, the bullets that hit Wang Yao slid around him, and quite a few of them hit the sleeping guards of the Yi Clan and the powerful figures of the Liang Clan around him, but he himself did not feel anything.

This guy happened to be standing between him and the iron barrel formation, his fox eyes wide open, his face showing a look of resignation to death. Wang Yao was too lazy to argue with him, so he took two steps forward and pushed the fox demon, who looked like a rocket raccoon, aside.

"Be careful, this kid must be an ant powerhouse!" A loud shout rang out, and a burly man with a dark face abandoned Lady Lian, wielding a long stick, and turned to smash it down on Wang Yao's head. This must be a Liang clan powerhouse, fully evolved, and no longer resembled a fox at all.

The stick slid to the side off Wang Yao's nose, and suddenly a "Huh?" sounded from Madam Lian.

"An immortal? Leave that to me!"

Amidst the stiff voices, a piece of the swollen lump on Madam Lian's body suddenly detached, transforming into a transparent, head-shaped object that seemed to be spitting its tongue at Wang Yao like a venomous snake. The lump on Madam Lian's body also rapidly changed shape.

Upon hearing Jingti's words, the burly, dark-faced man immediately put away his club, but instead of returning to continue attacking Madam Lian, he stood aside as if to watch the battle.

"Old Man of the Moon, hurry up! This thing is extremely strange. Even I, with my extraordinary abilities, cannot do anything to it. Be careful not to fall into his trap!" Lady Lian shouted in a muffled voice.

Wang Yao thought to himself that although he could not arrange marriages for the spirit body now, he was not afraid of the "good man" in his body. He might even be able to control the spirit body and create opportunities for Lady Lian.

So he ignored Lady Lian's advice and instead took a few more steps closer to the spirit body. Suddenly, the spirit body sprang up from Lady Lian's body, like a puddle of water being splashed onto Wang Yao, except that the splash was not scattered water droplets, but a human head the size of a fist.

Seeing that the essence was coming so quickly, Wang Yao had originally planned to reach out and grab the essence's body to have a good physical fight with it. But now he only had time to add another "good person" to his list. He secretly thought to himself that it wouldn't be too late to grab it after it got to his body.

Unexpectedly, just as the head of the spirit body was pressed against Wang Yao's face, it suddenly stopped. The head suddenly swelled up, and Wang Yao could see deep, transparent lines on the head, forming an expression full of disbelief.

The human head stared blankly at Wang Yao for several seconds with a bitter expression, as if something incomprehensible had happened. Wang Yao also stared blankly at the human head, wondering what it was hesitating about or what kind of scheme it was plotting.

The spirit uttered a string of foreign words, as if asking Wang Yao a question. Wang Yao didn't understand foreign words and was too lazy to waste words with it. Thinking that it was better to strike first, he reached out and grabbed the spirit's highly three-dimensional head.

"Ah!" The body suddenly let out a shrill scream and fell heavily to the ground. Wang Yao was startled and looked down to look for it, but saw a pool of transparent liquid at his feet flowing rapidly into the distance as if it were being wound up, like it was escaping a flood or a ferocious beast.
