Seeing that Lady Lian was about to kill him, Wang Yao was dumbfounded. After all, he and Li Kui were both members of the Heavenly Court's investigation team. If he watched as Lady Lian killed Li Kui, he would have a hard time explaining himself back in Heaven.
“Um…you should let him talk. Ask him why he’s gone crazy. He kept trying to kill me at first, but then he went and tried to kill you instead,” Wang Yao quickly reminded Lady Lian.
