"No, no, silly child! Your name is Ao Yao, and my name is Ao Guang. Aren't I your father?" The big man pointed at Wang Yao and then at himself in a panic.
"Ao Guang?" Upon hearing this name, Wang Yao felt both unfamiliar and somewhat familiar, and he was immediately stunned.
"Yes, do you remember now?" The big man stared at Wang Yao expectantly. "You are the fourth child in your family. You have three older brothers, Ao Jia, Ao Yi, and Ao Bing. I originally wanted to name you Ao Ding, but I abandoned that name because I thought about how tragically your third brother died."
"I put a lot of thought into your current name. Yao, Shun, Yu—how grand is that? Much grander than names like Jia, Yi, Bing, Ding, isn't it?"
"When you were little, you always asked me why my name was different from my brothers'. Do you remember? I said we all have the same name, so it's hard to tell which one is my fourth child, right?"
This burly man seemed to remember the past very clearly; as he spoke of the past, his face was filled with joy, and even his usually unfocused eyes became clearer.
"How did you get to the demon realm?" Wang Yao asked again, frowning.
"Oh dear, I knew you were unhappy, but I had no choice because of my job. I was a demon who became an immortal, and the Heavenly Emperor forced me to come to the demon realm. I didn't want to either, but who in the Heavenly Court can defy the Heavenly Emperor?"
"Fourth brother, be good, there are plenty of fun places in the immortal realm. Just don't go to the beach to play when you have nothing to do..." Ao Guang said in a rambling voice.
Heavenly Court? Work? Wang Yao suddenly remembered that the fairy had once said that the director of the Heavenly Court's office in the demon realm was called "Ao Xian".
