Chapter 325 Discharge from the Hospital

"Slow down, what's the rush?" Fairy scolded him, but she and Qinghe also picked up their speed and quickly caught up with Wang Yao.

"Damn it, how do I slow down the speed? Do I have to reduce it again? This is really troublesome." Wang Yao muttered to himself as he quickly reduced the points on "Immortal Journey" again, which brought the speed back to normal.

This time, Wang Yao gained a total of 6 upgrade points. He originally planned to give 3 points to "Xianyou" and leave 3 points for himself. He had consulted Xi Fu before making further arrangements, but now he could only leave 5 points for "Xianyou" in case of emergencies.

Wang Yao was in a coma while hospitalized, and no one knows who handled his admission procedures. However, he still doesn't have to worry about it now that he's being discharged. The fairy maiden has been in the immortal realm for a long time, and she probably comes here to recuperate her immortal body when she has nothing to do, so she's quite familiar with all the procedures.

Almost all the doctors and nurses at the hospital knew the fairy maiden, and she was greeted by a constant stream of people along the way. Everyone was very friendly to her.

Many of the discharge procedures were handled by the celestial doctors and nurses who volunteered to take care of them. It didn't take much effort to complete Wang Yao's discharge procedures. The three of them chatted and talked as they left the Taiqing Immortal City General Hospital.

"Your injury was on official business, and you were personally treated by Lord Xingjun, so the hospital didn't use any out-of-pocket medications. All treatment costs will be reimbursed, and you won't have to pay a single penny." The fairy waved the discharge slip in her hand at Wang Yao.

"Look, there are still many benefits to working within the system. If those wandering immortals suffered an injury like yours, wouldn't they be bankrupted?"

"Um... if it weren't for work, I wouldn't have gotten injured, right?" Wang Yao rubbed his nose. Damn it, according to the fairy godmother, if the hospital used medications not covered by medical insurance, I'd have to pay for them out of my own pocket? That makes no sense.

"What are you talking about? Even if you're not in the system, if you see someone causing harm to the Six Realms, does that mean you can just ignore it? You have to intervene whether it's for official business or not, right?" The fairy glared at Wang Yao as she spoke.

"If you enjoy the Heavenly Court's care within the system, you should know how to be grateful. It is the duty of every immortal to be injured while investigating the great calamity of corpse qi, but the fact that all medical expenses are reimbursed is a blessing from the Heavenly Court and a sign of the organization's concern. You cannot be unable to distinguish right from wrong or good from bad!"

"Yes, yes, yes, you're absolutely right, Fairy. Now I finally understand why you earned the title of one of the Ten Immortals Who Moved Heaven. It's truly well-deserved." Wang Yao was so exasperated by Fairy's lecture that he could only raise his hands in surrender.

"Of course, we old immortals who have been struggling in the Heavenly Court for many years still have some basic awareness, unlike you young people who take every advantage for granted, but don't know that there is nothing in the Six Realms that is taken for granted?"

"What you think is right today, isn't it all the result of our bloody battles back then?" As the fairy spoke, her fingertips almost poked Wang Yao's forehead.

"I was wrong, okay? I apologize. It's so wrong of me to reimburse all the medical expenses. I feel so ashamed. It's practically a crime. Can you dig a hole in the ground? I might as well crawl into it. I'll return the money later..." Wang Yao said hurriedly.

“You’re wrong again…” The fairy continued to lecture Wang Yao while leading the two through the winding streets of Taiqing Immortal City. They quickly arrived at the nearest teleportation point, and the three of them were teleported directly to Zhenxie Immortal City.

Wang Yao had been to Zhenxie Immortal City. It was like a small town in the human world. Zhenxie Heavenly Prison was located on the outskirts of the town. It was a tall tower that looked like a chimney in the human world, and there was a temple-like building in front of the tower.

The overall shape resembles a large temple with a flagpole that's been misplaced. The flagpole isn't in front of the temple; instead, it's standing behind it, giving it a somewhat incongruous appearance.

The tower and temple were surrounded by a moat-like waterway, but a stone arch bridge spanned between the waterway and the temple, which was empty and devoid of any immortals.

Wang Yao and his two companions crossed the bridge and entered the temple with its gates wide open. The temple was decorated in a vibrant array of colors. Facing them were three statues of immortals, each several meters tall, exuding an air of otherworldly grace and bearing. They wore different colored Taoist robes and coldly stared at the three who had entered.

On the left and right side walls, there are two different groups of immortal figures. On the left, there are several hundred immortals with flowing robes, wandering in the clouds, as if they are going to attend some grand event.

On the right, a large group of immortals are playing music, singing, drinking tea, chatting, and joking in a spacious courtyard, as if they are having a tea party.

Wang Yao noticed that the immortals in these sculptures had different expressions, especially their eyes, which were particularly expressive. Some of them were gazing ahead thoughtfully, some were looking around as if they were bored, some were staring at their feet as if they were looking for something, while others were looking at the three immortals in the temple with a meaningful gaze.

In short, these sculptures are nothing like the clay and wooden sculptures in ordinary temples, which are so clumsy that you can see the marks of chiseling at a glance. The ones here are sculpted to be lifelike and incredibly realistic.

He was admiring the exquisite craftsmanship of these works of art when he heard two crisp "clap" sounds beside him. It was the fairy maiden raising her hands and clapping lightly twice.

"This is a sacred place, and no immortals are allowed to make a sound." A crisp, childlike voice came along with the sound of a fairy slapping her hand. Wang Yao looked in the direction of the voice, but he couldn't see the immortal who spoke. There wasn't a single person who could move around in this temple, let alone a temple keeper or anything like that.

"I am He Xiangu, a member of the Six Realms Security Committee of the Heavenly Court. I have come here to supervise Wang Yao, the head of the Marriage Management Section of the Heavenly Court's Office in the Human Realm, and Princess Qinghe of the Liang Clan in the Demon Realm, as they visit each other in prison," Xiangu announced loudly.
