"I...you can't even fix your own stuff, so you expect me to do it for you?" Zhao Cai blinked twice at the interface panel and asked in astonishment.
"There's nothing I can do, it's locked. Aren't you a Mahayana expert? Can't you open it?" Wang Yao shook his head and asked in confusion.
"Damn it, Mahayana isn't a locksmith, he can't open everything! Only office workers know how to do this. You're asking me? Who am I supposed to ask?" Zhao Cai's eyes widened.
"Then there's nothing we can do. Think about what else the three of us can do to help you? Let me tell you, the fairy and the Heavenly Emperor's wife have a very good relationship. You can ask her to do something for you..." Wang Yao breathed a sigh of relief and quickly shifted the blame, hoping that the child would go and cause trouble for the fairy.
"Fine, just write me a note, and after I figure out how to open it for you, you can do that for me... okay?" Unexpectedly, Zhao Cai was not stubborn. After a slight hesitation, he thought of a solution. He took out a pen and a piece of paper from his Qiankun.
Wang Yao blinked, then picked up his pen and honestly wrote on the paper, "I currently owe Senior Zhaocai a marriage bond. Once the Immortal Realm interface is unlocked, I will immediately help Senior Zhaocai to make the connection..." and so on, before signing it as Wang Yao.
“Um…you should write that down…” Zhao Cai took the slip of paper and looked at it carefully, then asked Wang Yao somewhat embarrassedly.
Wang Yao understood the meaning of "bringing wealth" like a lamp, so he didn't hesitate and took back the IOU, adding Li Xian's name to it.
"I owe Senior Zhaocai and Fairy Lixian a marriage. Once the interface between the Old Man of the Moon and the Immortal Realm is opened, I will immediately arrange a marriage between Senior Zhaocai and Fairy Lixian. Words are not enough, so I hereby write this document as proof."
"The two names together are such a perfect match." Zhao Cai held the note in his hand and looked at it again and again, his face full of excitement.
Then, Wang Yao's vision blurred, and when he looked again, he was back in the temple.
"Come with me." Zhao Cai glanced at the three of them impatiently, waved her little hand, and walked towards the left wall on her own. Wang Yao and the others quickly followed.
Zhao Cai arrived at the bottom of the left wall and looked up at it.
"Old Hua, it's a business trip, don't be so nervous!" Zhao Cai suddenly shouted out of nowhere.
Wang Yao was astonished to find that as the sound of "Zhao Cai" faded, a cloud slowly drifted down from the wall.
"I've been watching you for a long time now, and you're being so proactive. But what have you gotten out of it?" An old voice came from the immortal statue on the wall.
"Don't you know me? I'm the most honest and selfless person. What benefits would I possibly take?" Zhao Cai said, but he reached out his hand to the fairy. The fairy understood and took out the small pouch from her Qiankun and handed it to Zhao Cai, who casually threw it against the wall.
Suddenly, among the hundred or so sculptures of immortals on the wall, a hunched old man with a stooped back stretched out one hand from the wall and firmly grasped the bag in his hand. Then the sculpture turned its head and chuckled.
“You’re the cleverest one here. Hurry up and come up. Which prisoner do you want to see?” the sculpture asked.
“One is a dying young wife, and the other is that slutty old woman Zhemei.” Zhao Cai skipped and hopped on the clouds that floated down from the wall and went straight up to the wall. Wang Yao found that in a moment he had become one of those sculptures and was standing in the procession of the immortals on their way.
"Hurry up and come up," the auspicious statue urged the three below, turning its head to them.
"They're here!" the fairy replied, giving Qinghe a push. Qinghe then stepped onto the clouds and climbed the wall in a few steps. Soon after, Wang Yao saw that Zhao Cai had another beautiful young woman by his side.
Wang Yao and the fairy followed. The moment they stepped into the wall, Wang Yao felt a darkness before his eyes and realized that he had entered a deep alley.
The alley was pitch black and extremely narrow, only wide enough for one person to pass through, almost like a narrow passage. Zhao Cai was at the very front, followed by Qing He, Wang Yao, and Xiangu in that order.
The group walked a short distance down the alley when a bright orange light suddenly came on. At the end of the alley, they saw an office desk completely blocking the passage.
The light came from a desk lamp on the office desk. Behind the desk sat a figure, his face dark and sinister under the light, exuding an eerie and terrifying aura.
When Wang Yao saw the person, he was surprised to find that he recognized him.
"Old Mo, what are you doing here?" Before Wang Yao could react, the fairy behind him asked in surprise. Indeed, this was Mo Guangmu, the former director of the Nantianmen Customs Administration. Wang Yao never expected that he would actually come to the Zhenxie Heavenly Prison.
Wasn't it said he was in Heaven's Academy for Repentance and Re-education? Turns out, this "re-education" just means he's being sent to be a jailer.
Moreover, he's probably not even the jailer. After all, the jailer before him, Zhao Cai, was definitely a Mahayana cultivator, while this Mo Guangmu certainly doesn't have Mahayana cultivation. He'd probably only be able to do odd jobs for the jailer here.
"Fairy Maiden, what brings you here?" Mo Guangmu asked, and hurriedly stood up from behind the table.
"You've come to visit two children in prison, what are you doing...?" With Wang Yao, Qing He, and Zhao Cai blocking her way, the fairy could only speak to Mo Guangmu from a distance.
"Don't even mention it. The Heavenly Emperor said my political awareness was low, so he sent me here to train and improve it," Mo Guangmu said.
“Oh, the Heavenly Emperor’s arrangement must have a profound meaning. You must not let him down.” Upon hearing this, the fairy nodded repeatedly.
"That's right, that's right. Since I stepped down, I've been free of worries and feel like the bottlenecks I've faced for so many years have loosened up. I will remember the Emperor's favor." Mo Guangmu had completely lost the imposing manner he had when he was the bureau chief. When he saw the fairy maiden, he hunched over and looked no different from a waiter in a restaurant.
