“But…you work in Huadu, and I…I’m just a fishmonger in Ziqiang County.” Mo Luopo still didn’t quite understand Wei Cai’s meaning and continued to look for reasons.
"You have to sell fish in Ziqiang County?" Wei Cai chuckled. "As long as we get along, can't you go to Huadu to sell fish? Or if there are suitable jobs in Ziqiang County, I can come and work there too."
"You...you mean...?" Moropo finally vaguely understood Wei Cai's meaning at this moment, and his voice became so excited that it changed. He was still not sure what Wei Cai was thinking, and asked in a slightly trembling voice.
"Xiao Cai!" Suddenly, a voice abruptly interrupted their conversation. Wang Yao was startled to hear it; the one who spoke was none other than Lü Xian.
"Damn, is this guy going to cheat and break them up?" Wang Yao hurriedly turned around and rushed into the shop, only to find Lü Xian standing upright next to Mo Luopo and Wei Cai's table. The two of them were completely taken aback by Lü Xian's appearance and stared at him dumbfounded.
“Xiao Cai, I know it was wrong of me to keep my identity a secret from you all this time…” Lu Xian must have been eavesdropping on Wei Cai and Mo Luopo’s conversation. He was probably shocked by Wei Cai’s attitude toward Mo Luopo. The moment he opened his mouth, it looked like he was about to reveal his identity to Wei Cai directly.
"Let's talk outside." Wei Cai, being a lion-roaring beast, quickly calmed down after a brief moment of panic. She first gestured for Lü Xian to wait, then turned to look at Mo Luopo, who was sitting there dumbfounded.
"Wait here for me a moment." Wei Cai smiled slightly at Mo Luopo, then turned and walked out of "Tom Chicken" on her own. Lü Xian stared blankly at Wei Cai's back for a moment, then hurriedly chased after her.
Wang Yao certainly didn't dare to be absent at this moment. He nodded haphazardly to Mo Luopo and followed Lü Xian out. At this crucial juncture, he couldn't let Lü Xian act recklessly.
“Xiao Cai, I…I’m actually an immortal. My official identity is the director of the Heavenly Court’s office in the human world…” Lu Xian hurriedly said, chasing after Wei Cai.
"You have a wife, right?" Wei Cai stopped and turned to look at Lü Xian.
"Um...that...I...I can get a divorce!" Lu Xian stammered, then hurriedly said.
"How many years have I been with you?" Wei Cai smiled slightly, shook her head at Lü Xian, and asked.
Lu Xian stared at Wei Cai in astonishment, not understanding what she meant.
“Including this year, Ah Bin, I’ve been with you for six years. In those six years, you’ve never told me you have a wife, and you’ve never mentioned divorce. Now you’re suddenly saying you want a divorce? Is that even possible?” Wei Cai said with a smile.
"It's possible, I...I'll immediately...report the divorce to...to the Heavenly Court..." Lu Xian's eyes widened as he patted his chest and assured Wei Cai.
"Forget it, don't force yourself. You and I aren't meant to be." Wei Cai suddenly looked at Lü Xian sadly. "Ah Bin, let's part amicably. I was still very happy with the six years we were together. Let's not make this breakup so dramatic, okay?"
"No, no, no! I really am an immortal, I...I...you're right, we're not on the same path, but...but...as long as you leave that fishmonger, I...I can find a way to make you an immortal, to make you an immortal!"
"Then...then I...I'll get a divorce...I...we'll be together, and live to a ripe old age, enjoying eternal bliss..." Upon hearing Wei Cai mention breaking up, Lü Xian's expression changed. He stammered and made incoherent promises, trying to win back Wei Cai's affections.
"To become an immortal? Like you? You don't even have a home, you're always appearing and disappearing like ghosts, either in endless meetings, or you're busy all day long, or you simply vanish from the face of the earth, disappearing for dozens of days or months?" Wei Cai asked with a smile as he stared at Lü Xian.
"Do you know that I'm tired of living in a rented house and sleeping in a hotel room with you? What I want is a home that truly belongs to me. That home is right here in Ziqiang County. It may not be big, but it has everything. It may not be rich, but it's very reassuring."
“Ah Bin, I’ve given you six years, the best six years of a woman’s life. I don’t want to waste any more of the years to come. I just want to find a partner to know and cherish…” Wei Cai said sincerely to Lü Xian.
“We…we will also have our own real home, you…you and I will go to the Immortal Realm…” As Lu Xian spoke, he reached out to pull Wei Cai. Wang Yao saw this and secretly cried out in alarm. If Lu Xian used force, even ten Lion Roar Beasts would not be a match for him!
He hurriedly pulled out the interface panel and arranged a marriage between Lu Xian and the fairy maiden. Damn it, this was all caused by his one-sided enthusiasm as a barber. He had to balance things out quickly!
A gentle breeze blew by, and Lü Xian's outstretched hand froze in mid-air. He blinked a few times, staring in astonishment at Wei Cai in front of him, and then silently withdrew his hand.
"I...I'm leaving." Wei Cai seemed to notice Lü Xian's sudden change in attitude, but she didn't care. She simply said goodbye and turned to walk towards "Tom Chicken".
Lu Xian stood there with a furrowed brow and a complicated expression, watching Wei Cai's figure disappear. After a long while, she turned her head and looked coldly at Wang Yao.
"This is the last time!" Lu Xian muttered, his figure flashing but then reappearing in the same spot. Beside him stood another person, none other than Fairy Maiden.
"Old Lu, are you surprised? Are you delighted?" Fairy Maiden grabbed Lu Xian tightly and called out to him with a beaming smile.
"You... how did you get here?" Lu Xian was clearly startled. He stared at the fairy maiden in astonishment, his words barely coherent.
"I miss you, so why can't I come and see you?" Fairy Maiden said coquettishly, pulling on Lu Xian's arm.
