Chapter 347: Twelve Lives

"You can ask her later," the Heavenly Emperor chuckled.

"Can I not choose today?" Wang Yao blinked. The Heavenly Emperor's expression was very strange, and he dared not make a decision immediately.

"Of course you can, but if you want to go to the God and Demon Forging Space again in the future, I may not have the time. Besides, these things have already been made, wouldn't it be a waste if we don't take them into the God and Demon Space?"

The Heavenly Emperor nodded, and with a flick of his finger, he saw that what he had been kneading in his hand was actually a lump of dark clay that resembled Wang Yao's hair; a thin strip had been removed from it.

Wang Yao looked closely and saw that the black thing was actually in the shape of a small person, with hands and feet, quietly floating in the air.

"What is this?" Wang Yao asked in astonishment.

"Your three thousand strands of hair can solve... um... twelve troubles for you." As the Heavenly Emperor spoke, twelve small black figures floated up in front of him. Looking at his hands, they were empty. Wang Yao's hair had been completely consumed by these twelve small black figures.

"Solve your troubles?" Wang Yao was a little confused.

"That means twelve lives. If you die during the forging of gods and demons, each of these can extend your life once. Your head is so barren that all your hair is only enough for these twelve. If it's not enough, don't blame me," the Heavenly Emperor said solemnly.

Holy crap! Forging gods and demons requires twelve lives? That's incredibly dangerous! Of course, Wang Yao wasn't naive enough to think that the Heavenly Emperor gave him twelve lives because he had too little hair. He had no idea whether twelve was a lot or a little.

Only the Heavenly Emperor would know roughly how many lives Wang Yao would need to complete the forging of gods and demons—twelve? Moreover, he himself should still be considered a "good person." This… what the hell is this forging of gods and demons? Why not just call it the forging of lives? It's absolutely a job with nine deaths and one life!

"Alright, I've said everything I needed to say. Stop dawdling and asking me to think it over. I reckon my little granddaughter won't talk to you for years, and you won't get any answers from her anyway. The entrance to the God and Demon Forging Site is a bit far from here. Um... come here for a second..."

The Heavenly Emperor muttered to himself, then suddenly raised his hand and waved to the distance. Wang Yao turned his head in surprise and saw two dark figures approaching in the blink of an eye.

Upon seeing the faces of the two dark figures, Wang Yao's eyes widened in disbelief. One of them was a fairy maiden, and the other was none other than his cheap father, Ao Guang.

No wonder he always felt like there were people behind him. He never expected it to be these two. He had always thought that the mountain people were still trying to extort money from him.

"You two have heard the boss's words. Whether or not to participate in the God and Demon Forging, the three of you should discuss it. If you decide to participate, Old Ao, you should know the entrance to the God and Demon Forging. Just send him in. If you don't want to participate, you can send him directly to see your Old Lu." The Heavenly Emperor pointed at the Fairy Maiden.

“Old Lu complains to me every day that the office doesn’t have enough cleavers, so I just gave them back to him to stop him from bothering me.”

As the Heavenly Emperor spoke, he slammed his cane down heavily, and vanished from the spot in an instant, leaving behind Ao Guang, the fairy maiden, Wang Yao, and the twelve little figures made of hair.

"All demons and monsters are nothing but a pee! May Your Majesty have a safe journey!" Ao Guang was still reciting the Heavenly Emperor's words to see him off.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" Wang Yao turned to look at the fairy and asked.

"Quickly put away these life-extending clones. The last time the Heavenly Emperor made one of these was hundreds of years ago. We can't let these treasures go to waste." The fairy ignored him and instead reached out and scooped up the twelve little figures made by the Heavenly Emperor into her palm.

"Hey, I'm asking you a question, what brings you here?" Wang Yao quickly nudged the fairy.

"It's all because of you. I heard from my husband that the Heavenly Court is going to take back your power as the Matchmaker. I was afraid you would do something rash, so I rushed over to try and persuade you. Luckily, the Heavenly Emperor has prepared a divine and demonic forging for you. Let's go quickly," the fairy said.

"What kind of divine forging is this? Xiao He, you hurry up and take my son to see your old man Lu." Before Wang Yao could even speak after hearing the fairy's words, Ao Guang hurriedly turned around and shouted.

"How can you be so ungrateful, old dragon? What a great opportunity it is to be forged by gods and demons, why don't you cherish it?" The fairy hurriedly questioned Ao Guang.

“What a worthless opportunity! It’s worthless if you die. Yao, listen to your father. We’re not going to get into any of those divine and demonic forging techniques. We’re going to get a system on us. Trust me, I have plenty of ways to help you level up quickly,” Ao Guang said.

"How do I upgrade? Go eat your flesh again?" the fairy maiden demanded.

"I'm cutting off my own flesh to feed my son, what's it to you?" Ao Guang rolled his eyes and glared fiercely at the fairy.

"Old Dragon, are you still showing off to me? Do you even know who saved you in Wangxiang Valley?" Fairy Maiden got angry when she heard Ao Guang's tone.

"I don't know anything, all I know is that you're trying to harm my son, and I'll never let you get away with this!" Ao Guang glared fiercely at the fairy.

"What do you want to do if we're not done yet? Do you want to fight me?" The fairy also puffed out her chest.

"Um... Dad... Ao... Ao Xian, you... you've mistaken me for someone else, I... I'm not your son." Wang Yao quickly stopped the restless Ao Guang, and with a flick of his wrist, pulled out Ao Yao's immortal skin and the dragon meat he had left over from last time.

"You... what's wrong with you, child? I am your father! Why... why are you taking these things out? Did the Heavenly Emperor do something to you just now?" Ao Guang looked down at the things in Wang Yao's hands, then looked up at Wang Yao with concern.
