Chapter 395 Fierce Battle

"Is this some kind of acrobatics?" Wang Yao exclaimed in astonishment. The hundred or so humanoid Arhats landed on the ground, then gathered together again, eventually forming ten giant Arhats taller than the Gale Fortress tower. Then they walked towards Gale Fortress with heavy steps.

When they reached the vicinity of the golden line drawn by Gao Chong, the giant Arhat stretched out two fingers, pinched the golden line, and with a gentle twist, the golden line broke.

Wang Yao noticed that the two fingers were actually two demon generals, whose legs were being held by several demon generals acting as arms, just like a circus act.

The golden thread was twisted into several pieces, but it did not fall. The giant Arhats looked somewhat conflicted. They hesitated for a moment, then stretched out a finger and gently flicked the golden thread. The horizontally broken golden thread became vertical. Once the state of the golden thread was adjusted, the blocking range was immediately greatly reduced.

The giant Arhat carefully pushed the upright golden thread aside, then slowly stepped forward again. Compared to these Arhats, the moat of Gale Fortress was no more than a small ditch, and they easily stepped across it.

The enlarged version of Gao Chong saw these actions of the giant Arhats but did not react in any way. However, the upright golden lines quickly dimmed and disappeared after the giant Arhats passed by.

The demon army behind the giant Arhat did not move with the Arhats. Behind them, there was a dazzling light and constant booming sound, indicating that they were fully engaged in dealing with the attack from the divine soldiers and generals behind them.

The two military camps had little strength left, and it was probably because Gao Chong provided some assistance when he arrived that they were able to hold out until this point.

Moreover, even though the demon army deployed thousands of demon generals in a human pyramid formation to deal with Gao Chong, their remaining strength still held an overwhelming advantage compared to the two military camps behind them. Wang Yao didn't know how much longer those divine soldiers and generals could hold out.

At the gate of Gale Keep, ten giant Arhats crossed the moat. Some continued towards the city wall, while others turned towards Gao Chong. The Arhat closest to Gao Chong arrived in just a few steps.

The Arhat bent down slightly, gathering his strength, and prepared to attack Gao Chong, who had been standing there holding his spear. Only then did Gao Chong shout again, "Hey!"

The golden light on the tip of the spear suddenly transformed into thousands of golden threads that shot out. The demon generals rolled off all ten giant Arhats with a "crackling" sound. It looked as if these Arhats had undergone a highly effective slimming process, and their figures instantly became much thinner.

To Wang Yao's surprise, under the barrage of golden light, although each giant Arhat lost several demon generals, not a single Arhat was knocked down, nor did any lose their ability to attack.

The Arhats seem to have mastered a method of transferring damage; the injuries caused to them by the golden light are transferred to the least important parts of their bodies, where the demons will die first.

Therefore, even though there was only one demon general forming the finger, they were still perfectly preserved even when directly exposed to the golden light during the attack.

The golden light flashed and then vanished. The giant Arhats were still slowly approaching their respective targets. The Arhat closest to Gao Chong had already raised his arms high and clenched his fists to smash heavily onto Gao Chong's head.

The demon generals that made up his fists all drew their weapons, their cold gleams flashing as they all pointed at Gao Chong's head. Wang Yao realized that this was not just a concentrated attack from the twenty-odd demon generals on his fists, but a combined strike from the hundreds of demon generals that made up the giant Arhat.

At that moment, Wang Yao, standing on the city wall, felt the powerful force unleashed by the giant Arhat. The entire Gale Fortress trembled slightly as the giant Arhat's fist fell, and a sharp, piercing whistle echoed through the air.

The golden orb at the tip of Gao Chong's spear was still dazzling, but it had shrunk considerably compared to before. He pulled the spear back in his hand, then gently thrust it forward, and the spear tip, still glowing with golden light, pierced directly into the throat of the Arhat in front of him.

The Arhat's fist, which was about to strike, froze in mid-air, and his body began to tremble uncontrollably.

"Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack!" A series of loud explosions suddenly erupted from the walls of Gale Fortress, and the lowest layer of the axe blades burst open one after another, turning into fragments.

At the same time, one by one, the demon generals rolled off the giant Arhat's body, first his chest, abdomen, shoulders, and back, then his limbs and joints. As one layer of demon generals fell off, the next layer followed closely behind. Before long, the Arhat's two fists finally broke off, scattering into a pile of fallen demon general corpses.

From the hands to the arms to the torso, and finally the thighs collapsed, leaving only the head of the giant Arhat stubbornly suspended in the air.

"Aow..." At this moment, Luohan's head seemed to be impaled by Gao Chong's spear. The throat pierced by the spear tip let out a miserable howl of unwillingness, and the demon generals that made up his head began to fall off one after another.

It was a surreal and terrifying scene: a huge head peeled off layer by layer in the air, constantly changing into a hideous and miserable shape. After a moment, Gao Chong's spear tip finally emerged, and the giant Arhat disappeared completely as if it had never existed in this world.

All that remained was a thick pile of demon general corpses on the ground.

"Hey!" Gao Chong, now in a larger form, shouted again. The golden light on the tip of his spear, which had dimmed, shone brightly once more. In the blink of an eye, the light expanded from the size of a grain of rice to the size of an egg. "Crack, crack..." Two more pieces of dry axe on the wall of Gale Fortress shattered at the same time.

But he didn't even turn his head to look. His huge body had already leaped up, and he swung the gun in both hands in a wide arc, as if he were wielding a heavy iron rod, and smashed it down heavily on another giant Arhat who was approaching.
