Chapter 405 Hu Mei

"So we are also looking for a breakthrough point to try to change the current situation between the gods and demons. You mentioned opening a second battlefield in the Ocean of No Return in the God Realm. I just rejected your suggestion for the time being because the incident happened suddenly and the matter was very serious."

"After all, with the strength of the Holy Domain's liberal faction alone, even with the limited support of our friends in the Western world, we still lack the ability to open up another battlefield in the God and Demon Realm. However, after listening to what this Immortal King said, many of my concerns have been dispelled."

Hu Mei smiled and glanced at Wang Yao again.

"Since this Immortal Wang says that only if we cause a great disturbance in the realm of gods and demons will the Heavenly Court react, then let's make a scene and see if the Heavenly Court is really as Immortal Wang says. If so, the Demon Lord can make a decision sooner."

"If not, wouldn't the Demon Lord be even more at ease? The liberal faction has been working hard in the Six Realms, and has never relied on the Heavenly Court's favor. Freedom has never been something that can be obtained by waiting and relying on others. When it's time to act, we liberals will never hesitate."

"So it was Wang Xian's words that dispelled my concerns. Regardless of whether the conditions are right or not, we have to give it a try. Otherwise, it's no wonder that our friends in the Demon Realm have doubts about us," Hu Mei said with a smile.

"We will certainly remember Mr. Hu's assistance to our Demon Realm." Upon hearing this, the Demon Lord of Breaking Heaven nodded emphatically.

"There's no need to keep it in mind. Assisting the Demon Realm's cause of independence is the duty of us liberals. I just hope that you, my lord, can seriously consider the possibility of the Demon Realm's independence. Give me liberty or give me death! My lord, please don't hesitate and suffer the manipulation of the Heavenly Court's autocratic group in vain."

"Moreover, our attack on the God Realm will not be without the Demon Realm's requirements. We, as Mahayana cultivators, naturally have an advantage in numbers compared to one or two God Realms, but we need the Demon Realm to fill the gaps in our lower-level forces."

"Furthermore, our liberal faction has not made many moves in the God Realm, and we know very little about the two God Realms that can be attacked after exiting through the Burial Abyss near Darkmoon City and entering the Ocean of No Return in the God Realm. We also need you to provide us with sufficiently detailed information on this."

"Finally, since this Wang Xian knows the location of the secret passage, I should ask him to guide us. That shouldn't be a problem, right?"

Hu Mei made three demands in quick succession, especially the last one, which sent a chill down Wang Yao's spine. Damn it, Hu Mei really wasn't going to let him off the hook. Wang Yao could only look helplessly at City Lord Lin, hoping that he could save his life at this critical moment.

"Then... the matter of the city sacrifice in Jinxiu City..." the Demon Lord of Breaking the Sky hesitated.

"My lord, you must be joking. The city sacrifices in any city of the Demon Realm are all carried out by the decree of the Demon Lord of that region. We are merely providing some assistance. Why would you need to ask for my opinion on whether or not to participate?"

“Since I have agreed to send troops to attack the God Realm, I naturally need to survey the terrain, gather forces, and make preparations for the battle. I can no longer accompany you, sir. You can contact Hans directly for any decisions you may make. I will take my leave for now.” As Hu Mei spoke, she reached out to grab Wang Yao.

Wang Yao wanted to escape, but under the power of the Mahayana Palm, he could not move an inch, and could not even beg for mercy. He could only try his best to turn his head to look at Lord Lin.

But neither Lord Lin, nor the burly man, nor even the Demon Lord of Breaking the Sky, uttered a single word about Hu Mei's capture of Wang Yao.

Everyone remained silent as Hu Mei casually mentioned Wang Yao, who was trembling like a leaf, and led him away from the hall, out of the manor, and disappeared into the darkness before dawn in Jinxiu City.

Before long, the scenery before Wang Yao's eyes changed, and just as dawn was breaking, Hu Mei brought him to a small town in the demon realm. The town was surrounded by stone houses and narrow alleys, and there were hardly any demons to be seen in the early morning.

"Slap slap slap..." A series of soft slapping sounds came, and a wooden door next to Hu Mei and Wang Yao creaked open, revealing a screen wall. Behind the screen wall was a courtyard with a skylight. Hu Mei let go of Wang Yao and threw him into the skylight.

"Ancestor, this is..." A voice rang out from the courtyard. Wang Yao recognized the voice immediately; it was Qing He's father, Qing Ning.

"Silence. Activate the sound barrier first," Hu Mei said coldly.

"What level?" Qing Ning asked again.

“The highest level,” Hu Mei replied.

"Yes!" Along with the conversation between Qing Ning and Hu Mei, a series of chaotic sounds came from around the courtyard. Wang Yao looked up and saw that in a short while, more than a dozen demons had gathered in the courtyard. Most of them were recognizable by their appearance and were basically members of the Qingqiu Clan Chief's Assembly in Wangxiang Valley.

"Ancestor, why did you suddenly come? Didn't you tell us to hide here and not to contact you unless it was something important?" a fat fox demon asked timidly.

"Fatty Hu, don't talk nonsense. Of course we can't contact the Ancestor, but that doesn't mean the Ancestor can't contact us. This time, the Ancestor came on his own initiative, which means the Ancestor is contacting us. Can't you even tell the difference?" another fox demon shouted.

"The sound barrier is now activated," Qing Ning announced loudly.

"Let me see..." Hu Mei agreed. After a while, Wang Yao felt a lightness on his body, and the enormous force that had been enveloping him finally disappeared.

"Tie him up." Before Wang Yao could even catch his breath, two fox demons rushed forward and tied him tightly to a wooden pillar by the courtyard. Hu Mei then sat down in front of Wang Yao and scrutinized him closely.
