Before long, the scenery before Wang Yao's eyes changed, and just as dawn was breaking, Hu Mei brought him to a small town in the demon realm. The town was surrounded by stone houses and narrow alleys, and there were hardly any demons to be seen in the early morning.
"Slap slap slap..." A series of soft slapping sounds came, and a wooden door next to Hu Mei and Wang Yao creaked open, revealing a screen wall. Behind the screen wall was a courtyard with a skylight. Hu Mei let go of Wang Yao and threw him into the skylight.
"Ancestor, this is..." A voice rang out from the courtyard. Wang Yao recognized the voice immediately; it was Qing He's father, Qing Ning.
"Silence. Activate the sound barrier first," Hu Mei said coldly.
"What level?" Qing Ning asked again.
“The highest level,” Hu Mei replied.
"Yes!" Along with the conversation between Qing Ning and Hu Mei, a series of chaotic sounds came from around the courtyard. Wang Yao looked up and saw that in a short while, more than a dozen demons had gathered in the courtyard. Most of them were recognizable by their appearance and were basically members of the Qingqiu Clan Chief's Assembly in Wangxiang Valley.
"Ancestor, why did you suddenly come? Didn't you tell us to hide here and not to contact you unless it was something important?" a fat fox demon asked timidly.
"Fatty Hu, don't talk nonsense. Of course we can't contact the Ancestor, but that doesn't mean the Ancestor can't contact us. This time, the Ancestor came on his own initiative, which means the Ancestor is contacting us. Can't you even tell the difference?" another fox demon shouted.
