This scene was truly astonishing. In the vast Ocean of No Return, not far above the densely packed puppet fleets, another ocean was rapidly taking shape. The water flowed over the gravel and surged upwards, and the massive body of water was visibly obscuring the entire sky.
Everything around quickly returned to darkness, except for the lingering golden edge along the water and the gravel mountain. In the Ocean of No Return below, not only the puppet fleet but also the Protoss fleet were plunged back into the night.
This body of water was truly strange. Despite its continuous rise, it did not spill over into the Protoss fleet at all. As the gravel mountain rose, the water level rose as well. Before long, the golden edge disappeared from sight, and the sky was completely obscured by the God of Reclaiming the Sea and the densely packed birds.
However, Wang Yao could still hear the cries of the Sea-Filling Goddess, "Jingwei, Jingwei..." coming from time to time. She seemed very agitated, or perhaps full of anger, but soon, even the cries became less clear.
Suddenly, the water in mid-air jolted and dropped sharply, about to crush the puppet fleet. Fortunately, the puppet ships had no masts, otherwise the masts would have broken off. At this moment, the lower part of the water had already adhered to the top wooden box on the puppet ship.
A cacophony of screams erupted from the puppet fleet, filled with the cries of foreign gods, demons, and monsters. Numerous figures scurried about on the deck, displaying a state of utter panic.
Hu Mei had vanished without a trace, and the bald heads of the foreign gods who were casting spells were almost touching the bottom of the water, yet they remained motionless, hovering between the towering water columns as if they were clay or wooden sculptures.
The puppet fleet remained in place and did not attempt to leave the area despite the panic.
Although the few foreign gods seemed oblivious to everything around them, whether because they were focused on casting spells or because they were out of their minds, the overwhelming force of the massive body of water in the sky still caused many of the puppet fleet members to collapse.
Perhaps only those puppets who have lost the ability to think can remain calm at this point.
Wang Yao was watching with great interest, unable to guess who would win or lose the battle, when he suddenly heard a chorus of exclamations from below. He looked down and was horrified to find that all the ships of the Divine Race fleet below had run aground.
Sometime later, the once vast and magnificent Ocean of No Return beneath their feet had dried up! Although some seawater remained, it could no longer support the weight of the ships. The warships were all haphazardly stuck in the muddy seabed, and the monsters that had been floating in the sea were now climbing onto the ships.
It turned out that during the battle, although the water in mid-air was constantly sinking, the water level was also decreasing, causing the fleet's height to drop accordingly. Therefore, the water never actually pressed down on the puppet fleet. Wang Yao was so engrossed in the battle that he overlooked these changes in the seawater.
The officers and soldiers on the Protoss ships must have noticed, but they clearly lacked a countermeasure, so they could only wait for the Sea-Reclaiming God to fight the enemy and decide the victor, until the ships actually ran aground before chaos ensued.
This… Wang Yao turned to look at the puppet fleet. Countless water columns between the fleets were disappearing one after another, and the puppet fleet was stranded, adrift in the vast ocean. Could it be that these few ocean gods had simply moved them all onto their heads? Wang Yao was shocked, but he still didn’t quite understand the intentions of the ocean gods.
But he soon discovered that the puppet ship was not a Protoss warship!
Amidst gasps of alarm, the puppet ships began to transform one by one, regaining their enormous humanoid forms. Countless colossal puppets rose from the bottom of the Ocean of No Return, silently facing the Protoss fleet mired in the mud like a lush forest.
On the Protoss fleet's side, chaos reigned. Some ships capsized, and the divine generals on board flew into the sky. However, the divine soldiers who could not fly could only fight fiercely with inferior demons, magic warriors, and war demons around the warships. Many other divine soldiers struggled aimlessly in the muddy waters of the seabed.
The other ships that had not yet capsized were presumably following orders from Commander Liang. While resisting the monsters' attacks, they were still trying to maintain the yellowish-brown light barrier that separated the enemy from their own forces.
However, due to the drop in water level and the significant reduction in the yellowish-brown light that formed the light curtain, the light curtain shattered into several small pieces, leaving many gaps for passage. However, the puppet fleet did not seem to be ready yet and did not rush to attack.
"Bailing! You and Huangli, quickly take your men to find the God Lord. You must do everything you can to protect him. The rest of the teams, come with me and rush over there to kill those foreign monks who are casting spells!" Aunt Tian's voice suddenly rang out.
Immediately afterwards, the gods quickly gathered in one place in the sky. A dozen or so of them flew towards the sky, while the others passed through the gaps in the light curtain fragments and attacked the foreign gods who were casting spells.
Seeing the divine generals surge out, figures flew out one after another from the giant puppets, and they met the divine generals under the cover of a large number of demonic flesh cannonballs fired by the giant puppets.
"What the hell is this?! Why don't they arrange for a powerful figure to quickly bring that thing down from the sky? That would be the best solution!" Wang Yao was secretly anxious. The water above the puppet fleet was the most crucial element. As long as they helped the Sea-Reclaiming God smash it down, the puppet fleet would be finished without even a fight.
But Aunt Tian didn't know what was wrong with her. She only wanted to fight the foreign gods head-on. Those foreign gods had actually brought the Unreturned Ocean to the sky. How could they be so easy to kill?
"Aunt Tian, forget about those foreign monks, find a way to bring that damn thing down from the sky!" Wang Yao called out to Aunt Tian in his mind.
"Wang Xian, you must leave here immediately! I can no longer sense the Divine Lord. The outcome of this battle is uncertain. You should escape!" Wang Yao never expected that Aunt Tian would advise him to run away at this moment.
