After much deliberation, he decided to call Hui Shuo to the tower to discuss the matter with Wei Zheng. Lü Bu was a ticking time bomb that needed to be defused as soon as possible. However, whether to entrust the matter to the Unyielding God or to handle it themselves, he naturally had to ask Wei Zheng and Hui Shuo for their opinions.
"My lord, my lord! Come and see your monk subordinates! Such a big bird could go anywhere, yet it insists on coming to this teleportation array. If the seal on the teleportation array is broken, it will be a huge problem!" Wang Yao was searching for Hui Shuo when he suddenly heard Lu Bu's sharp cry.
He followed the sound to a room not far from the temple and found it empty, but there was a staircase leading down in the corner, and the shouting was coming from the top of the staircase.
Wang Yao went down the stairs and found himself in a spacious area, like a large cavern carved out of the mountain.
In the center of the cave stood three wooden humanoid sculptures, back to back, each as tall as two or three adults stacked together. Hui Shuo and Lü Bu were arguing and pulling at the sculptures. Lü Bu clearly did not want to offend Hui Shuo, so he shouted loudly while protecting the sculptures, preventing Hui Shuo from touching them.
"What are you all doing?" Wang Yao shouted.
"Father and Mother, come quickly and help me! The Bodhisattva is right here! They've changed the Bodhisattva's appearance. The Dragon Subduer doesn't look like a Dragon Subduer anymore, and the Tiger Subduer doesn't look like a Tiger Subduer anymore. Please help me change them back!" Upon hearing Wang Yao's arrival, Hui Shuo hurriedly called out.
"These are statues of gods, not statues of bodhisattvas!" Wang Yao glanced at the three wooden statues and was so angry that he almost twisted his nose. Hui Shuo had simply misattributed them.
These three statues, especially one of them, bear a striking resemblance to the Unyielding God, both in appearance and with his exposed chest and robes. As for the other two beside him, they are probably the Unyielding God's two subordinates, and they have no connection whatsoever with the Bodhisattva.
