Chapter 459 Stalemate

Even with Wang Yao's current Nascent Soul Realm eyesight, he couldn't make out the shape of that thing, which can only mean that its speed was truly unbelievable.

Not only was that thing extremely fast, but it also seemed to be able to leap and glide over short distances. With a few leaps, it dodged the raging Samadhi Fire and landed among the little yellow men who hadn't been burned yet. Immediately afterward, Wang Yao couldn't help but open his mouth wide, unable to close it for a long time.

He finally saw the creature's appearance clearly. It looked almost exactly like a giant spider, except that the giant spider's body seemed to be sewn together from large chunks of flesh, with crimson blood lines interspersed among the white flesh, making it truly grotesque.

But what's most chilling isn't the thing's body, but the dense array of chelicerae around it that resemble both arms and legs. Each of those long, thin chelicerae ends up with a stark white human head.

The heads of those people had different facial features, their eyes slowly opening and closing, and saliva occasionally dripping from their crooked mouths, as if they were still alive. Some of them even had sparse hair on their heads, which truly made one's hair stand on end upon seeing them.

After the monster landed, it waved its dozen or so claws, and then each claw's head held a little yellow man in its mouth. The little yellow men were quickly devoured by the claws, and a visibly bulging part appeared on the claws that had swallowed the little yellow men. The bulging part was slowly moving towards the monster's body.

And the heads that had devoured the Minions all wore expressions of satisfaction.

At this point, Wang Yao finally understood why Lu Ban had said, "This thing of mine doesn't look very good." It wasn't just not very good-looking; it was downright disgusting. But to be honest, this monster wasn't mysterious at all; it was just a low-level corpse puppet that he had seen in the underworld.

However, while the low-level corpse puppets made by Robin were ugly, they still had some human-like features. But the low-level corpse puppets made by Master Lu simply didn't even have human-like features, making them extremely ugly.
