Wang Yao didn't think the foreign homeless demonstrators could do anything to him. He wasn't just being cheaply compassionate; he only felt sorry for the foreign policeman because he was worried about the inspection team and didn't want to cause any trouble.
Seeing that the road ahead had been cleared of obstacles, the police officer did not rush to get into the car and leave. Instead, he ran over, lifted up the wounded officer who had fallen to the ground, hurriedly carried him into the car, threw him next to Wang Yao, and then stepped on the gas. The police car sped away like a dog in distress.
"What...what happened to me?" The car jolted twice, and the shot police officer woke up, looking at Wang Yao with a blank expression.
“McGold! You…you’re awake? Quick, check where you were shot, are you alright?” the police officer in the car shouted.
"Shot...shot? No...no..." The man seemed to wake up from a dream, nervously looking himself over. Wang Yao couldn't help but laugh. This guy was a talent from the Western world; it seemed he had honed his skills in the midst of gunfire.
The journey back was far from peaceful, with gunshots ringing out around the car, some near and some far. The two officers, not wanting to get involved, sped back to the police station, only to breathe a sigh of relief.
Wang Yao got out of the police car and pretended to be a shot-scarred policeman who was in a hurry to go to the hospital next door for a check-up. The policeman who was driving took Wang Yao into the police station, where he saw a noisy and busy scene.
This police station is far inferior to those in the human world. Even a district police station in the human world must have a tall and imposing building. If the building is not twenty or thirty stories high, it is embarrassed to call it a police station. But here there are only a few bungalows.
After entering the police station, there was a large hall that was divided into many small cubicles. Most of the cubicles were empty, and a few were occupied, with the foreign police officer almost always on the phone.
"...What? A shooting at Hardberg High School? What's the situation? How many are dead?...The mobile H team should be nearby, send them over to check it out..."
"...Team A is handling a murder case on Binhe Road, while the mobile Team B, who just dealt with a shooting at Lai De Kuai Supermarket, was shot at on Nan Ba Road..."
"...A bunch of drug dealers are having a shootout? Drug trafficking will be legal next month, is it really necessary? Or...should we send Team Z over to take a look? Our team is really too busy..."
...
"Someone jumped off the building at the Grand Hotel, is anyone going to handle this? Is anyone free to go and handle this right now?" A chubby foreigner shouted in the lobby, but no one paid him any attention.
After passing through the noisy hall, there was a narrow corridor with small, windowless cubicles along the sides. Wang Yao was led into one of these cubicles by the policeman.
"Let me see your ID." The police officer said to Wang Yao as he entered the room, unbuttoning the collar of his uniform to reveal his thick chest hair.
"I don't have one." Wang Yao shook his head. As an immortal, he flew around everywhere and had never heard of needing an ID card.
"No...you came here illegally?" The policeman raised an eyebrow and slowed down his movements.
Just as Wang Yao was about to explain, the door that the police had just closed was pushed open again, and the fat man who had been shouting in the hall was standing by the door.
"Someone jumped off the building at the 'Paper Drunken Gold Hotel.' Go and handle it," the fat man ordered the police officer.
“I just took over the shooting case at the Lai De Kuai Supermarket. The case is a bit complicated, involving illegal immigrants, this is him…” The police officer pointed at Wang Yao.
"Hand him over to the immigration office. You hurry up and get to the Grand Hotel." The fat foreigner glanced at Wang Yao and said to the police officer without flinching.
"Uh... alright... come with me." The police officer seemed displeased, but could only nod helplessly, call out to Wang Yao, and then led him out of the private room, across the lobby, and back out of the police station to get into the police car.
"Where can we find any foreign gods here?" Wang Yao asked hurriedly while the patrol officer was checking his gun and ammunition behind the steering wheel. Since crossing over to this place, he had been "sensing" for a long time but had not found a single foreign god. It was as if he had entered the human world, and he couldn't help but feel anxious.
"Foreign God? Never heard of him. There's water on the seat if you want some." The policeman replied casually, put his gun away again, and started the car.
"Could you find me a way to cross over to see the foreign god? I have something urgent to attend to," Wang Yao said urgently.
"Cross-border passage? What's that place? You're really talking nonsense. Is it that hard to speak fluent English?" The policeman laughed in astonishment.
"It seems this kid doesn't know about the existence of the God of the Sea," Wang Yao thought to himself.
The same situation exists in the human realm. Many mortals even claim that immortals, the underworld, demons, gods, and monsters are all superstitions, attributing anything they don't understand or comprehend to superstition—a kind of ostrich-like approach.
Wang Yao had no choice but to follow the foreign policeman to the immigration office, thinking that there might be a foreign deity there. After all, the immigration office had to deal with foreign entities, so it couldn't avoid deities from other realms. It would be necessary for a foreign deity to come forward and negotiate.
He sat in the car and extended his senses far away, searching for traces of the existence of the Ocean God. He found that the various forces in this Ocean Realm were extremely mixed, with immortal spiritual power, divine power, demonic power, monster power, and yin power intertwined together, making it impossible to sort out a single clue.
This situation is quite similar to that at the entrance of the God and Demon Forging Ground, and even more chaotic. No wonder the Six Realms Pass given by Qin Su couldn't be used in the Ocean Realm. This place is a complete mess.
The advantages are obvious: you won't have to worry about replenishing your spiritual energy. The disadvantages, besides not being able to make phone calls, are that if the foreign god isn't within your sight, you'll have a hard time spotting him.
