Moreover, aside from the fact that he had caused the deaths of eighteen wives, he was usually honest and upright in his work and had never offended anyone. Therefore, he was fairly certain that this was probably the family of one of his wives who missed their daughter, and, unable to bear it any longer, had come to cause trouble again.
"Uncle... Uncle, don't be anxious, let's talk this out, let's talk this out..." In his desperation, Ni Zhenlu even called him "Uncle." Hui Shuo was determined to listen to his parents, and didn't care whether he was called "Uncle" or "Buddha," ignoring Ni Zhenlu and just kept beating him.
"Knock him down!" Wang Yao approached and, seeing that fighting was ineffective, hurriedly reminded Hui Shuo.
Upon hearing his parents' instructions, Hui Shuo grabbed the sedative he had been holding and started banging it on Ni Zhenlu's body. One of the blows hit Ni Zhenlu on the head because he couldn't dodge it.
As the Awakening Order struck Ni Zhenlu, the shadow around Ni Zhenlu suddenly exploded, but then rapidly contracted, and then watched as the shadow began to expand continuously.
Like adding new fuel to a fire, the flames suddenly spread outwards with a whoosh. A cry of "Ouch!" was heard as Hui Shuo was kicked away by Ni Zhenlu.
"Huff... Huff..." A series of heavy breaths slowly rose up, and Ni Zhenlu's face in the shadows gradually became indifferent. He ignored Hui Shuo and instead stared coldly at Wang Yao, as if a prehistoric beast had just awakened.
"Father, Mother, he... he suddenly became so strong..." Hui Shuo scrambled to Wang Yao's side and said to Ni Zhenlu, still in shock.
Oh no! Could it be that the awakening order has awakened the widower's bestial nature?
Wang Yao was filled with doubt and unease, but the red thread had already flown in during the instant the shadow exploded and wrapped around Ni Zhenlu's ankle. Holding the other end of the red thread, he slowly retreated a few steps, intending to check Ni Zhenlu's identity information.
As Wang Yao thought this, a large question mark appeared next to Ni Zhenlu's head. This made Wang Yao break out in a cold sweat. The question mark meant that Ni Zhenlu's level was higher than his, and he was no match for this widower.
Wang Yao is now acting cautiously. When he first met Ni Zhenlu, he noticed that Ni Zhenlu had an extraordinary presence. He read Ni Zhenlu's identity information, which showed that Ni Zhenlu was indeed just an ordinary mortal. He did not expect that after the awakening order was struck, it would awaken a terrifying monster.
"What are you? How dare you provoke me and disturb my slumber?" Ni Zhenlu slowly walked towards Wang Yao and Hui Shuo. With each step, Wang Yao felt the ground tremble slightly.
"It's going to rain, hurry home and bring in the laundry!"
"Damn it, thunder just like that! Monk, can't you find somewhere sheltered from the rain before you start thundering? My wife isn't well, she'll get sick if she gets wet..."
...
The widower's voice boomed like thunder in the sky, but the surrounding crowd only heard the rumbling thunder and did not notice that the widower was questioning the Old Man Under the Moon. They were still busy on the side, some running to avoid the rain, and others hesitating, unwilling to miss the excitement.
"Run!" Wang Yao shouted softly. The matter was already settled, and there was nothing more for him to do. If he stood there, wouldn't he just be waiting for the widower to beat him up? He had just been beaten up by the professor not long ago, and he didn't want to experience that again.
After calling out to Hui Shuo, Wang Yao turned and ran. Hui Shuo had finally found his parents and was unwilling to let them escape again, so he chased after Wang Yao and followed closely behind.
"Don't run!" the widower roared, chasing them at a leisurely pace. He seemed like a slowly moving comet, leaving a long shadow trailing behind him as he moved forward, with black embers dancing in the wind.
"Father, Mother, where are we going?" Hui Shuo asked hurriedly as he caught up with Wang Yao after he had run for a while and slowed down.
"Don't stop, keep going, let's go to Caidu," Wang Yao said in a deep voice. He could feel the dark cloud hovering in the sky above the Meiman residential area moving closer and closer, knowing that Ni Zhenlu had not given up on the two of them and was still chasing after them.
“Oh…” Hui Shuo wisely kept quiet and followed behind Wang Yao. After walking for a while, Wang Yao looked up at the sky and frowned. The dark clouds had unknowingly gotten closer to him, and seemed to be accelerating.
Little did he know that the Four Heavenly Cripples were actually the work of four monsters, and these monsters were no less dangerous than the Professors. However, these monsters were usually in a dormant state, merely attaching their evil nature to a host to harm the world.
Wang Yao's order for Hui Shuo to use the Awakening Order actually activated the monster's true form. Every monster has the characteristic of holding grudges, and Wang Yao also used the magic item Red Thread on its host.
Although the monster didn't know what trick its host had fallen into, its senses were still correct. It understood that it was ultimately not a good thing, so it planned to catch Wang Yao and completely eliminate the root of the trouble.
“Father…Father and Mother, we can take a bus to Caidu.” Hui Shuo didn’t have Wang Yao’s keen senses. He thought he had already shaken off Ni Zhenlu. When he heard that Wang Yao was going to Caidu, he saw a bus going to Caidu by the roadside and called Wang Yao to get on the bus.
“Um…” Wang Yao glanced at the bus. His two legs were naturally not as fast as the bus. To avoid the widower, it was better to take the bus. With that thought, he nodded and stepped onto the bus. Hui Shuo followed closely behind.
"You...aren't you staying in Xiangyun?" Wang Yao was taken aback when he saw Hui Shuo following behind him. Was this fake monk...trying to wear him down?
"I've made up my mind. From now on, wherever my parents go, I will go too," Hui Shuo said firmly to Wang Yao.
