Chapter Fifty-Six: The Lion's Roar

“Liang, don’t you dare interrupt me. I’m telling you, I have no money, I really have no money, I’m not lying to you, I’m dirt poor. You’ve been following me all this way, have you seen me eat a single bite of food or drink a single drop of water? I’m so poor, I dare not eat or drink! Do you understand?”

This time, Wang Yao was truly furious. This Liang Hui was indeed persistent, too persistent. He was probably like a mosquito, biting until he bled before leaving. But damn it, I don't have any blood! A bite from him would be fatal!

"If you're going to lie to people, go find some rich people. I have no money, I really have no money!" Wang Yao roared at Hui Shuo.

"Father and Mother, you used to scold me like this all the time when we were at home. Now your son is more sensible and knows we don't have much money. I promise I won't waste money. I just want to be with you, Father and Mother. You...you don't know how much I've missed you since you left..."

Unexpectedly, Hui Shuo blinked as he watched Wang Yao roar angrily, and then burst into tears again.

Wang Yao couldn't help but look up at the sky and sigh. Damn it, he, a dignified immortal, was being worn down by a fake monk. How was he going to end this?

Watching Hui Shuo weep, Wang Yao grew increasingly annoyed. He couldn't tell if the kid was faking it or genuinely believed he was his parents, but this was just too absurd! How could he be so certain that he was their parent? This was utterly illogical!

Wanting to argue with Hui Shuo further, but feeling utterly exhausted, Wang Yao glared angrily at the fake monk, slammed the door, and left the room to find some peace and quiet.

Hu Fei told me there was a good massage parlor nearby, so I went to get a massage. But I got entangled with this fake monk. Rather than spending that little bit of money to support this fake monk, I'd rather waste it all myself than let that guy get away with it.

Wang Yao thought bitterly to himself as he took the elevator downstairs and out of the lobby. He was about to ask someone where the massage room was when he felt that it was a waste to spend money to have someone massage him. Wouldn't it be more enjoyable to "cleanse" himself than any massage?

Why not go out for a big meal? ...Damn it, I don't even need to eat, wouldn't that be a waste? Or... Wang Yao stood in the night breeze, pondering, and suddenly realized that he didn't have anything he should spend money on. Now, he was truly at a loss.

Did God know I had too much money to spend, so He specially sent me a son to spend it all? Is God really that nosy? He should be thinking about how to deal with this foreign god!

"Wang Yao?" Wang Yao was sulking there, feeling that nothing was going right, when suddenly a clear and melodious voice rang out in the darkness.

"Uh... Cai... Caixia..." Wang Yao was stunned to find that Fairy Caixia had actually emerged from the darkness. His heart tightened immediately. Caixia was here for a meeting too? He still had a son in his room. How... how was he going to explain this to her?

"You...you're here for the meeting too?" Wang Yao asked Caixia hesitantly.

“No, I just happened to be dealing with something and ran into you. I only found out your office was having a meeting here after I met with Lü Xian.” Caixia shook her head, and Wang Yao finally felt relieved.

"You've only been an immortal for a short time, and this is your first time attending an office meeting, right? Meetings aren't just about listening with your ears; you also need to use your brain to think. Many things aren't as simple as they seem on paper..." Caixia approached Wang Yao and suddenly said quietly.

Wang Yao looked at Caixia and felt that there was something mysterious in her words, but he couldn't figure out what she meant for the time being.

"By the way, I received a message that you've completed the widower mission?" Caixia suddenly changed her tone and asked with a smile.

"Yes, it went very smoothly." Wang Yao nodded with a smile.

“Your progress has far exceeded my expectations. I thought it would take you at least three to five years to complete the task,” Caixia said with a smile.

Wang Yao slipped and almost fell. Three to five years? You have that little faith in me?

"I was originally planning to continue with the Lonely One quest, but we have to have a meeting now, so... um... you came here to handle some matters, are there monsters here too?"

Wang Yao originally didn't want to inquire about Cai Xia's affairs, but he suddenly thought of the terrifying possession of Ni Zhenlu's monster and knew that Cai Xia was dealing with matters related to these monsters in the human world, so he immediately became worried about Cai Xia.

“Yes…” Caixia nodded, then turned to see Wang Yao’s worried expression. She couldn’t help but smile, then quickly shook her head. “It’s alright. Actually, there are many kinds of monsters. Some monsters can actually protect the people and help the weak. You can’t generalize.”

“You… I just remembered, could you do me another favor?” Caixia looked at Wang Yao, as if she had suddenly remembered something.

"No problem! What's the task?" Wang Yao hurriedly patted his chest and asked.

"It's not a mission, it's like this... The monster I'm investigating at the Mountain Hotel is actually a hotel waitress named Wei Cai. I was initially worried that this monster was a dangerous species called a Bursting Beast, but I've discovered that she isn't..."

As Caixia spoke, she gently opened her palm in front of Wang Yao's eyes, and an image of a woman in a hotel waitress uniform appeared in her hand.

"She's actually a Lion Shoutmon. Although she shares many similarities with Burstmon, her danger level is nowhere near that of Burstmon. Just remember, Lion Shoutmon is harmless to humans, but its biggest problem is its volatile temper..."

"Generally speaking, lion-roaring beasts appear as women in the outside world. If they get married and start a family, they will be like ordinary women, bearing children and managing household chores. However, their bestial nature will be reflected in abusing their husbands..."
