Chapter Forty-Five Encounters

Director Liu was still giving his lecture, and seeing that Wang Yao hadn't experienced any more spiritual paralysis, he gradually relaxed.

Mo Xian reminded him that he not only had to explain the rules of the South Heavenly Gate to Wang Yao, but also the rules of the entire Heavenly Court. This was not a task that could be completed in a short time, and there was still much to be said. However, since both of them were immortals, they had plenty of time and were not afraid of being delayed.

Director Liu remained calm and composed, explaining each word carefully. But at that moment, the LCD display on the elevator door suddenly started flashing.

"...Oh? Another immortal has arrived?" Director Liu was a little surprised. There were very few immortals staying in the lower realm now. Apart from the ones in the office, he had almost never heard of any other immortals wandering around in the lower realm.

This is partly because the Heavenly Court is very strict in managing immortals crossing realms, and partly because the human realm is now in the Dharma-ending Age, and there hasn't been a single immortal ascending to heaven for many years.

Liu Chu is in charge of the South Heavenly Gate. He usually sees one person come up to absorb spiritual energy every two or three months, which is considered quite frequent. Wang Yao is a newly promoted immortal, so it is normal for him to absorb spiritual energy every now and then. Once he reaches the Foundation Establishment stage, the frequency of absorbing spiritual energy will decrease significantly.

Despite this, Wang Yao had just arrived when another immortal appeared, which was quite rare for Director Liu.

As he was pondering, the elevator doors opened and an old man with white hair darted out. The moment Wang Yao saw this old man, his eyes immediately turned red. This old man was none other than Xi Da Zuiba, whom he cursed day and night!

"Damn it, hurry up and call the security department over here. These foreign devils are too arrogant." Xi Da Zuiba didn't notice Wang Yao sitting on the sofa. As soon as he got out of the elevator, he shouted at Director Liu.

"What's wrong?" Director Liu asked in surprise, sitting there. Xi Fu was no longer the matchmaker, but just an ordinary immortal. He was too lazy to even stand up.

"I've offended a foreign god, and he's been chasing me all the way to the human world. I bet that kid's going to follow me... No, I have to get out of here." Xi Da Zuiba said, and was about to push the door open to leave.

"Hey! Wait a minute, register before you go!" Director Liu hurriedly called out.

“Damn it, we’re old acquaintances, why bother registering? I’m not a matchmaker anymore, I’m not in the system…” Xi Fu grinned.

"Xi...big...mouth...!" Wang Yao stood up shakily, glaring hatefully at Xi Fu, and shouted through gritted teeth.

"Uh... it's you, kid? You're not stupid after all, you know to come up here and absorb spirit energy, huh?" Xi Da Zui Ba grinned as soon as he saw Wang Yao.

Before Wang Yao could step forward and start cursing, and before Director Liu could take out the registration form from the drawer, there was a loud bang, and the elevator door bulged outwards before collapsing back in.

"Damn it, those bastards really caught up with us!" Xi Da Zui Ba's expression changed, and without saying a word, he pushed open the door and rushed out. Almost at the same time, a piercing alarm sounded throughout the Nantianmen Customs Administration Building.

Liu's door was pushed open again, and security personnel rushed in one by one. Li, who was shirtless and carrying two axes, was also mixed in with the crowd.

The crowd quickly gathered around the elevator door, which kept bulging and shrinking, like a mouse trapped in a bag, constantly wriggling around.

Wang Yao shrank back, feeling very curious about the elevator door. It looked like it was made of two steel plates, but he didn't expect it to be so flexible.

He glanced at Li Chu's two axes again, thinking to himself that it was best to stay away from this killer. If he accidentally got chopped up by this kid, he would have nowhere to complain.

"It's Yang Shen, otherwise the barrier couldn't have been activated." Director Li didn't pay any attention to Wang Yao; his mind was completely focused on the elevator door, which kept bulging and deflating like a bag.

"Should we open the door or not?" Director Li asked Director Liu.

"This... This is the first time that foreign gods have come knocking on our door. Back then, they only sent immortals from the lower realms to deliver a declaration of war. What is this now...?" Director Liu was also unsure of what to do.

"If you don't open the door soon, he might break the barrier, and we'll be in trouble for a long time," Director Li said, glaring at her.

“How could the barrier be so easily broken? Do you think this South Heavenly Gate is made of paper?” Director Liu shook his head repeatedly.

"Open the barrier and let him in. Liu Fu, go and inform the patrolling celestial generals that if we can't stop him here, we should tell them to seal off the South Heavenly Gate." Wang Yao saw a tall, robust immortal walk in and calmly gave the order.

"Yes!" The immortals present all responded in unison. Director Liu bowed to the burly immortal and turned to leave the office.

"Mo Xian, be careful! I'm activating a barrier." Director Li warned the burly immortal, then put the two axes together and lifted them with his left hand. He reached his right hand towards the elevator door, seemingly to press a button. The security guards gathered in front of the elevator door unconsciously retreated.

"What's the panic? Don't back down. Look at who this guy is, daring to attack Nantianmen!" Mo Xian scolded softly. Suddenly, the elevator doors opened, and a burly man rushed in like a mad bull with a roar.

The burly man was wearing a vest that resembled a breastplate, with his arms bare. He wore a pair of leather armor that looked like a pair of shorts on his lower body. His thighs were covered with thick leg hair and were completely exposed. The leather armor had cracks at the four corners, which shimmered and gave the impression of someone with a bare bottom.

The burly man rushed into the office, about to break in, when Mo Xian gently pushed forward with her palm. A golden light formed a barrier between the burly man and the security guards. The burly man crashed into the shield formed by the golden light, denting it, but ultimately it did not break through.
