Chapter Ninety-Five: Summoning Beasts

"Old Xi, how can I possibly talk to you with that foul mouth of yours?" Zhu Gu said angrily.

“Since you don’t know how to say it, then don’t say it. Everything will remain the same. Let’s get the reception sorted out first, and then we’ll leave. Wang Yao, you quickly arrange for the first batch of mortals to come over. Once they arrive, immediately guide the beasts. Everyone, sense the beasts and enter Prosperity Alley, and take your positions immediately!” Xi Fu said.

The immortals wanted to say something more, but they had been busy all night and were already ready to act. Xi Fu was right; the important thing was to eliminate the professor first.

Everyone had no choice but to go back to their own tasks. The requirements for guiding the paper figures were more advanced than those for the wandering paper figures in the alley. After all, they needed to speak some simple language and have some basic thinking skills, making it much more troublesome than guiding those wandering paper figures.

One of the immortals took one and slowly sculpted it there.

Wang Yao immediately called Li Zhongxiao and asked him to go to the crossroads to find odd jobs.

"Um, how are the wages calculated for casual labor? They are basically paid by the hour, and the cheapest one is at least 100 yuan per hour," Li Zhongxiao said to Wang Yao on the phone.

"Then it's 100 yuan per hour, even if it's less than an hour, it's still 100 yuan. If it's more than an hour but less than two hours, it's calculated as two hours. They don't have to do any hard work, just a little talking. Is this price okay?"

Since Wang Yao knew that Qian Wei had already agreed, he didn't try to save the tycoon any money and readily set the price.

“Okay, I’ll be right there. Um… should the landlady and those two constables go now?” Li Zhongxiao agreed, then asked Chen Ke, Wang Yongjin, and Zhao Risheng.

"Tell them to wait and not come over for now," Wang Yao thought to himself. The professor was full of fighting power at the beginning, so it was better not to let them come over and cause trouble. He should wait until the professor's fighting power subsided a bit before making a move.

After arranging things for Li Zhongxiao, Wang Yao called Tang Meifeng again. Tang Meifeng didn't hesitate and said that it was probably time, so she would take a car over right away.

Hua Tuo then called each of the six professors one by one. When the professors heard that the recording location was not at the Broadcasting Center but actually in Fanrong Lane, they were all quite puzzled and asked all sorts of questions, which took them quite a while.

Hua Tuo had to explain for a long time, only saying that this was a newly built comprehensive recording center for the TV station, before the professors' doubts were dispelled and they all agreed. One of them asked Hua Tuo if he wanted to leave the taxi receipt, and Hua Tuo gave a vague reply.

All the immortals busied themselves preparing, with waiters in the teahouse, tea makers in the seed players' lounge, and beautiful hosts in the main debate hall all taking their places to greet and assist.

Before the immortals had even left, the first truckload of temporary workers arrived. Li Zhongxiao had requested a double-row truck, and all the temporary workers huddled in the open-top compartment at the back.

Upon reaching the entrance of Fanrong Lane, everyone jumped out of the car. Yang had already tossed an iPad to Wang Yao, which displayed the entrance to Fanrong Lane, showing all the figures of people entering the active diversion channel in a dark red color.

There's a small brush icon on it. If Wang Yao wants to get someone into Prosperity Lane No. 2, he just needs to brush them with the little brush.

In a short while, Wang Yao had driven all the dozen or so day laborers in the car into Prosperity Lane No. 2. The day laborers were completely unaware and simply assumed they had been walking all along.

Just then, a young man from the roadside came up and, after learning that they were people who had come to argue, welcomed them all into the teahouse. The group of casual laborers were delighted to be offered food instead of work. They chatted and laughed, drinking tea and eating snacks, and were extremely happy.

The immortals had already dispersed to a block away, leaving only Wang Yao in Prosperity Lane. Wang Yao walked out of the house, went up to the rooftop, opened the porcelain bottle given to him by Fairy Caixia, and then hurriedly went downstairs to pick up the iPad that Yang Gu had dropped.

For Wang Yao, there was another troublesome problem: the professor was unpredictable. In broad daylight, there were many people coming and going in Fanrong Lane. If the professor changed his appearance and no longer used Yang Quanxing's face, Wang Yao would not be able to tell who the professor was.

In the end, Ma Gu installed a demon-revealing mirror on the wall near the entrance of the alley. Although the mirror was for dealing with demons, it was also useful against monsters. Once a monster entered Prosperity Alley, its true form would be revealed on the iPad, making it easier for Wang Yao to identify and defeat monsters.

Wang Yao stared nervously at the interface panel for a long time, but he didn't see the professor. After a while, the two real professors, one tall and one short, finally appeared. Wang Yao sent them to Prosperity Lane No. 2, and he suddenly realized a serious problem.

Hua Tuo said that six professors had agreed to come, but he didn't know any of the others except for these two. Just as he was about to call Hua Tuo to help him keep an eye on and identify the arriving professors, Xi Fu's door was pushed open, and a middle-aged man stood by the door with a frown.

"Excuse me... is this... Huadu TV Station?" Looking at the dark room, there was only a young man with his head down, fiddling with an iPad.

The middle-aged man asked the question, but he himself didn't believe it. His eyes were particularly uneasy, and he was afraid that if Wang Yao shook his head in the room, he would have to run away immediately.

Wang Yao looked up and recognized the man. He had seen him outside the Yunji Temple in Yunling. He was the one with the teacher-student romance. This was the man who reminded him of the professor he was looking for at Changsheng University. He must have been so focused on the professor and busy brushing off those two tall and short guys that he had overlooked this man.

Fortunately, Hua Tuo made it clear on the phone and came to find this person.

"You are..." The person who saw Wang Yao also felt that he looked familiar, but he had just returned from a trip to the Western Regions and his memory was a bit messy, so he couldn't remember where he had seen him before.

"Yes, yes, please come in, please come in!" Wang Yao hurriedly stood up and led the professor into the room.
