Chapter Ninety Invitation

After listening to their conversation, Wang Yao immediately realized that the tall man was afraid of losing the debate and embarrassing himself. He quickly reassured them, saying, "What do you mean by filming a TV show? It's just a way to trick you two into going after the professor. Not only will the parts you're not satisfied with not be broadcast, but the parts you are satisfied with won't be broadcast either."

"Um...we've finished filming. You guys really will listen to our opinions before deciding whether to broadcast it or not?" The tall man stopped, still looking somewhat incredulous.

“Of course, we can sign an agreement beforehand,” Wang Yao said, his eyes wide.

"Is that so? I get the feeling that you're deliberately targeting Yang Quanxing?" The tall man still frowned, looking somewhat skeptical.

"Who told him to be famous? These days, audiences love seeing celebrities make fools of themselves, don't they? Whether people like us make fools of ourselves or not, the audience doesn't care. Don't you think so?" Wang Yao laughed.

“We’re different from you. We’re professors, so we need to be mindful of our image… But… your ideas are interesting, a little… mischievous.” The two understood, and knowing smiles appeared on their faces. “So… when will the agreement be signed?”

"Someone will contact you in the next couple of days. You'd better try to get more people involved in the debate so that there are more topics to cover and we can edit more episodes," Wang Yao said.

"The people are fine, but... how are the fees calculated? We usually pay several hundred for a single class, so the appearance fee for participating in a debate must be quite high, right?" the short man suddenly asked.

"It's not low, definitely not low. The fees for our program are guaranteed. After all, the station wants to make our program a star program. Don't worry, I can't say it's too high, but 1,000 per person is no problem. Of course, it only counts if you appear on screen. If you don't appear on screen, it's just travel expenses."

Wang Yao blinked. He hadn't really calculated the cost in detail. After all, finding odd jobs at the intersection of the Struggle District would cost him the market price, and the same would be true for these university professors. He could only vaguely explain it away for now, but he left an excuse there.

If we really run out of money, we'll just say the show was canceled. Anyway, if we really kill the professor, whether these guys can find us is another matter.

"A thousand?" The short man frowned, seemingly dissatisfied, but the tall man nodded. "Okay, if it really teaches Yang Quanxing a lesson, I'd be willing to pay even if you don't give me any money."

Wang Yao left his two phone numbers there, and the two then asked for Wang Yao's number. Regardless of whether Hua Tuo wanted to or not, Wang Yao simply gave him his number.

After Wang Yao and Hua Tuo finished their business, they quietly left Changsheng University. Hua Tuo also thought Wang Yao's idea was good. Those who understand the enemy best are often the people around the enemy. Using the professor's friends to deal with the professor was indeed a clever move.

"How do you know these two will respond when called?" Hua Tuo was still somewhat puzzled.

"I used my senses and heard two people running and cursing Yang Quanxing. One cursed his bad lifestyle, and the other cursed him for seeking fame and fortune. You know, this professor is a beast, how could he know anything about human relationships? It's not inevitable that he would offend his colleagues at the school."

Wang Yao explained to him, and Hua Tuo nodded repeatedly in agreement.

“Hua Gu, I have to go to Cai Du right away to invite a heavyweight seed player over. Once he arrives, we can begin our operation. Could you please find someone to help you get some agreements ready and contact the two players from earlier to get them signed?” Wang Yao added.

"Damn it, you and Xi Dazui are going to deal with the God of Marriage, but it's all my business. I'm just a doctor. What kind of agreement do you want me to make? I don't know how to make one. And it has to be done under the name of Huadu TV Station. That's a crime."

Hua Tuo was unhappy when he heard this, as he found it troublesome.

"Can't you ask the old man at the office for help?" Wang Yao asked.

“Our office doesn’t have a legal department? Who would draft this agreement? We’re completely unfamiliar with TV stations.” Hua Tuo’s eyes widened.

"There are no law students, how about Zhu and Wang from the literature and education department?" Wang Yao reminded him.

"Forget it, it's fine to call two people who know classical Chinese, but you want them to draft an agreement, and a fake one at that? Isn't that ridiculous?" Hua Tuo shook his head vigorously.

“Um… here, this is Wei Dafa’s number. He’s the boss of Dafa Real Estate and he has his own lawyers. You can contact him too. Wei Dafa shouldn’t care about whether it’s true or false. Just say that I introduced him to you and that he came up with the idea to save Zhen Huai.”

Wang Yao thought what he said made sense, so he gave Hua Tuo Wei Dafa's number.

"Damn it, I hate dealing with rich people the most. You should find someone else..." Hua Tuo muttered, still unwilling.

"Then give me back the ten thousand yuan, and I'll find someone myself!" Wang Yao retorted angrily.

"Uh... fine, I must have owed you something in my past life. You better get lost!" Hearing Wang Yao ask him for money, Hua Tuo chickened out and reluctantly agreed.

"Remember to let me know if there's any news from Hui Shuo." Wang Yao gave him this instruction as soon as he saw that he had agreed, then hurriedly said goodbye to Hua Tuo and took the subway to the airport.

He had already arranged a lot of things for Hua Tuo, and he didn't know how many professors the two of them, Gao and Ai, could mobilize. With so many people, the old man would be busy for a while. Besides, he also had to take care of Xi Da Zui Ba and search for Hui Shuo, so he couldn't spare the time. Therefore, Wang Yao had no choice but to spend some money himself to take a plane to Cai Du.

There's been no word from Hui Shuo since then, so it's probably not a good outcome. Luckily, the money is in my hands. Since Hui Shuo can't use it anyway, I might as well use it to contribute to eliminating the professor. It's a good deed after all, and it can be considered Hui Shuo's final contribution to society as a swindler.
