Chapter Seventeen Grapes

"I'm going back now!" Although Wei Dafa spoke politely, Wang Yao had no interest in having a meal with that swindler monk. Besides, he had already absorbed most of the spiritual energy from the Lotus Pond Avenue shops, leaving the temples either "nothing" or "very little." Staying any longer would be a waste of time.

As for food, he's an immortal, so eating would be pointless. He should go out and find a place with abundant spiritual energy to restore his mobility.

"If you're in such a hurry... well... then let Xiao Li take you home, I won't see you off." Wei Dafa was about to be polite again when he saw that Master Ruyuan had already walked ahead on his own, so he quickly left those words and hurriedly chased after him.

"Um... I was busy this morning and I'm a bit exhausted now, so I'm walking slowly. Could you wait for me a little while?" Wang Yao said with a smile to Wei Dafa's driver, Xiao Li.

There was nothing he could do; the swindler had managed to disturb him just as he wanted. His spiritual power was still only 42 points, and he was walking unsteadily. He had no choice but to ask the driver, Xiao Li, for help first.

He has absorbed most of the spiritual energy here, and absorbing more would be too slow. Xiao Li is still waiting to retrieve the Five Purities Cauldron, and Wang Yao doesn't want to delay any longer. When he came, he saw that there were still some buildings with spiritual energy by the roadside, and Wang Yao plans to deal with them when he encounters them.

"Um... let me help you over there..."

Seeing that Wang Yao was walking like he hadn't fully recovered from a stroke, Xiao Li figured it would take forever for him to slowly move around, so he simply went up and helped Wang Yao out of the Lekoufu Hetang Avenue store and into Wei Dafa's car, the Fugui Wangjue.

"What is your surname, and where are you planning to go?" Xiao Li helped Wang Yao into the passenger seat before getting into the driver's seat himself. He started the engine and asked Wang Yao as he did so.

“My surname is Wang. Just drive along this road into the city. When you see the place, I’ll tell you.” Wang Yao responded. He still planned to raise his spiritual power to 100 points on Lotus Pond Avenue before making any further plans, otherwise being half-paralyzed like this was really inconvenient.

"Oh." Xiao Li replied and drove off. It was already evening, and the sunset, like a drunken man, staggered across the sky with a flushed face. Wang Yao looked carefully at the scenery along the road through the car window.

"Excuse me, could you please stop for a moment..." After walking a short distance, Wang Yao saw a plastic shed set up by the roadside. He guessed that there should be spiritual energy inside the plastic shed, so he hurriedly called Xiao Li to stop.

"Wait a moment, I'll go down and take a look." The car was a bit far from the plastic shed, and Wang Yao's system hadn't given any prompts, so he decided to get out of the car and get closer to observe.

"That's a grape picking garden. You want to buy grapes?" Xiao Li stopped his car by the roadside, somewhat puzzled. However, Hetang grapes are a well-known fruit in Huadu, so it was reasonable for the customer to want to buy some to take home.

"Just taking a look..." Wang Yao agreed, trembling as he opened the car door. He thought to himself, "I don't care if you're a grape or a watermelon, as long as you have spiritual power, I can sit inside for ten minutes or so."

Seeing Wang Yao staggering to the ground as if he might fall at any moment, Xiao Li quickly got out of the car to help him up. He glanced at the grape picking garden not far away and thought to himself, "If I let Wang Yao go by himself, it will probably take until dark. I'd better help him up myself and be quick. We can buy the grapes and hurry on our way."

With Xiao Li's support, Wang Yao took a few shaky steps forward, and the system notification finally appeared: "Low-level building, sturdiness 20-20, spiritual energy a few."

Ignoring the low-level buildings, Wang Yao immediately saw the words "a certain amount of spiritual energy" and was delighted. He figured that if he sat in the plastic shed for three to five minutes, his spiritual energy would be restored.

"Go...inside!" Wang Yao pointed to the plastic shed and said to Xiao Li.

Little Li had no idea about Wang Yao's intricate scheme. He thought to himself that this man was talking nonsense. If you don't go into the grape picking garden, do you expect others to pick grapes for you?

He helped Wang Yao into the plastic greenhouse, which was open from front to back, with a large scale in the middle where people weighed and paid for their grapes. To pick grapes, one had to walk through the plastic greenhouse, behind which was a large grape trellis, densely surrounding both banks of the lotus pond.

"The ones on the east side are as sweet as honey, 40 yuan a pound; the ones on the west side are better than eggs, 15 yuan a pound; the ones across from the lotus pond are small and sweet, 30 yuan a pound..." A burly man with a dark face shouted loudly as soon as he saw the two men enter the plastic shed.

Wang Yao spotted a chair in the shed, walked over and sat down without saying a word, quickly activating his spiritual energy absorption mode.

"Hey! Go inside and pick the grapes, what are you doing sitting here? That's my chair!" The big man was immediately displeased when he saw Wang Yao's behavior.

The big man was quite happy that a group of guests would be coming that evening, and he quickly stood up to greet them. Unexpectedly, when the guests arrived, they didn't say a word, didn't pick grapes, and even took his chair? There was only one chair in the plastic greenhouse, which the big man had prepared for himself and had no intention of letting anyone else sit on it.

"We're not picking grapes, we'll just sit here for a bit and then leave," Wang Yao said with a smile to the burly man.

As soon as he said that, Xiao Li felt a little embarrassed. He realized that he hadn't paid attention to Wang Yao's physical condition while driving. Hetang Avenue was constantly being repaired and repaired, and the road surface was not very smooth. It must have been bumpy, making Wang Yao very uncomfortable, which is why he needed to stop and rest.

"Damn it, what are you doing barging in here if you're not picking grapes? I sell grapes here, don't come here to cause trouble!" The burly man with the dark face immediately exploded upon hearing Wang Yao's words and stepped forward to grab Wang Yao, but Xiao Li quickly stepped in front of him to block him.

"Let's talk this out. Why are you cursing? Our boss Wang isn't feeling well and is just resting here. What's wrong with that? It's not like we're demolishing your house or selling your land. What are you yelling about? Do you want to fight?" Little Li, who had followed Wei Dafa, was a man of the world, and his words immediately stunned the burly man with the dark face.
