Chapter Sixty-Three Unexpected Calamity

At that moment, it felt as if someone was praying to heaven and pleading with Buddha for your fate, telling you about all the unpleasantness and unhappiness in your life, and gently comforting you through every hardship and pain.

An invisible, boundless love embraced everyone, and Hui Shuo seemed to radiate light from his entire body, filling everyone with piety and reverence without their even realizing it. So much so that long after the scriptures were recited, the entire room remained completely silent.

"Master, I really made the most of this money!" Boss Yu wiped his eyes and said sincerely to Hui Shuo, who had just stepped off the stage. Hui Shuo clasped his hands together and thanked him repeatedly, displaying the demeanor of a master.

Damn it, where did this kid learn that? Could it be from the wandering monk at Lianye Temple in his hometown? There are some masters among the monks! Wang Yao sighed inwardly.

Next, the dishes were served. Boss Yu was so excited by the blessing ceremony that he ordered several more hearty dishes from the hotel. He raised his glass to toast Hui Shuo, who had no taboos about eating meat, but shook his head repeatedly and refused the wine, not touching a drop.

Wang Yao saw this and nodded secretly. It seemed that Hui Shuo had put in a lot of effort before coming out. The most taboo thing for swindlers is drinking. After drinking, they will reveal their true colors, and that would be bad. He was still waiting for Boss Yu and Young Master Jiang to transfer money tomorrow.

After a long period of preaching and blessing, everyone gradually came to their senses from the Buddhist teachings. They all felt very hungry. Boss Yu was an honest man, and the dishes he served were very plentiful. Gradually, everyone let loose and ate and drank heartily.

Wang Yao and Hua Tuo didn't stand on ceremony. They lowered their heads and ate heartily. Although it was true that immortals didn't need to eat, eating only brought benefits and no harm. The energy was stored in their bodies and they didn't know when they would need it.

The waiter brought over a plate of fragrant braised chicken, and everyone reached for it with their chopsticks. Wang Yao immediately spotted a chicken neck, the small section below the knuckle and above the foot, which contained only skin and tendons and was the most flavorful part. Anyone who knows how to eat chicken would love this.

After eating, you can suck out a thin, long bone that can be used as a toothpick.

Just as Wang Yao was about to pick it up, four chopsticks suddenly appeared on the chicken's neck. He then saw Hui Shuo and Boss Yu exchange a smile. It must be said that Hui Shuo was quite good at handling people. He immediately put away his chopsticks and picked up a piece of chicken breast.

Boss Yu chuckled and picked up the chicken foot neck.

"Sorry, this is the only hobby I have in all my life." Boss Yu chuckled, holding the chicken foot neck between his fingers, and then stuffed the whole chicken foot neck into his mouth in one bite.

Wang Yao thought to himself, "I only have this one hobby, but why does he sound so confident and self-assured?"

Muttering to himself, Wang Yao picked up a piece of chicken, put it in his mouth and chewed it. Hmm... not bad, although not as good as chicken feet and necks, it was still very fragrant.

As he chewed, before he could even swallow the chicken, he noticed that Boss Yu was staring at him in a daze. He couldn't help but feel suspicious. He hadn't noticed what part of the chicken he had picked up. Could it be that what he had eaten was Boss Yu's favorite?

He noticed that Boss Yu was staring at him, his eyes gradually bulging out. This... he gave him the chicken neck, was it really necessary? It's just a piece of chicken.

Wang Yao was puzzled, and the others also sensed something was wrong. They gradually stopped eating and looked at Boss Yu with curiosity.

Boss Yu didn't say anything, just stared at Wang Yao. His mouth opened unconsciously, but it made a sound like a rooster crowing. However, it didn't sound very satisfying, and only a part of it was left, "Uh...uh..." which made people's hair stand on end.

"Oh no! Damn it, don't choke!"

As expected of a doctor, Hua Gu reacted quickly. His expression changed, and he leaped up in a flash, appearing behind Boss Yu in the blink of an eye. He stretched out his arm, placed Boss Yu's chest on his forearm, and patted Boss Yu's back repeatedly with his right palm.

"Slap slap slap..." After a few slaps, look at Boss Yu again, his face turned purple, saliva dripped down, but he didn't spit out a single piece of food, just rolling his eyes back and saying "Uh...uh..."

Now, Huagu's expression turned even uglier.

"Damn it, he's choking so badly, his throat is probably completely blocked. He needs to be taken to the hospital for surgery right away!" Hua Gu shouted.

"But... Master, didn't you say that Boss Yu is a Bodhisattva, benevolent and charitable, and can enjoy blessings and longevity without end? This... this Dharma assembly just ended, and he choked?"

Most of the people sitting at this table are Boss Yu's friends. One guy took Boss Yu from Hua Tuo and was still wondering why, so he kept asking Hui Shuo.

Hui Shuo's expression changed as well. It was really hard to explain such a sudden event. It was inappropriate to say that Boss Yu was too greedy, and it was also inappropriate to say that Boss Yu was overjoyed but then suffered a tragedy. It was just nonsense to say that the Bodhisattva was testing Boss Yu.

Hua Tuo, having seen many storms and remained calm in the face of danger, glared at the guy and let out a sharp shout.

"What nonsense! Get Boss Yu to the hospital right now! If you're late, his life is in danger, and you'll all be in trouble!"

The man was awakened by Hua Tuo's shout. He thought to himself that saving people was the priority. So, the group quickly lifted Boss Yu up and hurriedly left the restaurant. The people at the other tables noticed the sudden change and looked over suspiciously.

"What happened? What happened to that tuft of hair?" someone asked.
