Wang Yao's place is located on a night market street, which is quite lively at night. However, it is already late at night, and there are far fewer people coming and going. Most of the stalls are packing up and preparing to close.
He walked into the sparsely lit, closing street market, and slowly strolled to his building entrance. He found that even though it was so late, Zhen Huai, whom Xi Da Zui Ba had told him to do before leaving, was still there selling eggs.
Xi Da Zuiba said that Zhen Huai was a good person. At that time, Wang Yao was busy waiting for him to teach him the skills, so he did not argue with him. In fact, in Wang Yao's opinion, Zhen Huai was full of bad intentions.
Look at what he's doing. He occupies a spot in the stairwell every day to sell eggs. If you're going to sell eggs, do it properly. But he doesn't. He sits on a small stool, spreads a plastic sheet on the ground, arranges the eggs on it, and then stares intently into the neck of the woman who's squatting there picking up the eggs.
His mouth was also dirty.
"If you're going to pick them up, pick them up properly and don't mess with my eggs!"
"My eggs are so good, just look at them, why are you touching them so tightly?"
"You think my eggs are too expensive? How about eggs with broken yolks? They're cheaper, but are they even useful?"
Young women and wives sometimes don't argue with him, they just buy eggs and leave with red faces. But when they do argue with him, he gets really into it, and his hoarse voice can be heard for miles.
"Her breasts aren't even as big as my balls, what's there to see? You might as well look at my balls..."
Wang Yao was filled with righteous indignation several times and wanted to help his female friends teach this villain a lesson. He himself didn't have the courage to do such a thing, but this guy did it as if it were flowing water and flowing effortlessly. He had his fill of eye and mouth, and it was too damn offensive.
However, Xi Dazui had a good opinion of Zhen Huai, and Wang Yao didn't know what he was thinking.
Zhen Huai's worst habit is that he likes to abuse pets, specifically Xi Da Zui Ba's oriole. Xi Da Zui Ba has gone to see the world, and the oriole, perhaps feeling stifled indoors or lacking nutrition and milk, sneakily approaches Zhen Huai's egg stand.
Suddenly, Zhen Huai kicked out, and Huang Li let out a "howl" and rolled to the side.
"I haven't made many eggs today, and you dare to steal them, you damn dog?"
"You damned little brat, you really kicked me hard!"
"Huh? Who's talking?" Wang Yao heard Zhen Huai's raspy voice followed by a crisp curse, and couldn't help but turn around to look. Many stalls had already closed up, and only Wang Yao and Zhen Huai were on the street.
Zhen Huai glanced at Wang Yao, then turned back to stare at Huang Li, muttering curses under his breath.
"You never do any work, all you do is hide in your house, and you're out here this late trying to mess with my balls? Why don't you just die?"
Is this kid cursing a person or a dog? Wang Yao was furious, but he didn't have time to argue with Zhen Huai because he noticed something else important.
Wang Yao stared in astonishment at the big yellow dog, Huang Li, who had scrambled to its feet in a disheveled state. Huang Li mumbled something but didn't bark, and its dog eyes seemed to roll as if it were giving Wang Yao a disdainful look.
"What are you looking at? Haven't you ever seen a beautiful woman without clothes?"
It really is a talking oriole! Wang Yao was dumbfounded. He glanced at Zhen Huai, who was still chattering away, and confirmed that he was indeed the only one who could understand animal language. Damn, could this also be Xi Da Zui Ba's doing?
"You have a job but don't do it, all you do is sponge off your parents, you're good for nothing, and you just laze around. What the hell has become of this world?" Zhen Huai's words reached Wang Yao's ears one by one, and a fire ignited in Wang Yao's heart. He didn't know what he had done to offend Zhen Huai.
I've only been in this world for about a week, and you're already giving me attitude every day. Do you think I wanted to be transported to the apartment above yours? I'm all alone. There's some money in my dad's savings account, but I don't need it. Are you going to support me? Why are you all like Xi Da Zui Ba (a nickname for a man who is very sarcastic and unhelpful)?
Whether I go to work or not is none of your business! Besides, haven't I already become the matchmaker? Logically speaking, shouldn't I have found a job? Stop chewing on your words, do you think I can't deal with you?
Wang Yao stared intently at Huang Li, about to imitate Zhen Huai and launch into a veiled attack, but unexpectedly, at that moment, Huang Li suddenly smiled, as if it had understood Zhen Huai's insults.
Holy crap, am I being ridiculed by a dog?
Wang Yao recalled Xi Dazui's parting instructions to take care of Huang Li, and couldn't help but think to himself, "Xi Dazui is irresponsible. He dug a pit for me, why should I listen to him and take care of this dog?" But... he couldn't bring himself to mistreat an animal. It would be best...
He glanced at Zhen Huai, who was still chattering on and on, and then at Huang Li, whose face was full of disdain. Suddenly, a bold idea popped into his head. With a thought, Wang Yao produced a thin red thread that kept twisting in his hand.
"Zhen Huai, don't blame me. Blame yourself for letting Xi Da Zui Ba owe money! Now that the old scoundrel has run away, Huang Li needs a master, and I'm here to uphold justice for all women!"
Wang Yao muttered to himself, then threw one end of the red thread at Zhen Huai's feet. As if it had come to life, the red thread shot forward and snaked around Zhen Huai's ankle.
Holding the other end of the red thread, Wang Yao turned to look at Huang Li and gave her a sinister smile.
"What are you going to do? I have a bad feeling about this." The big yellow dog looked at Wang Yao in fear, only to see Wang Yao throw the red thread in his hand to it.
The red thread darted close to the oriole, then suddenly stopped. The end of the thread twitched and retracted towards the oriole, just like a teased little snake. What was going on? Why couldn't it be tied?
The oriole clearly didn't see the red line swimming right next to its legs, but it still became wary of Wang Yao. It was keenly aware that this kid had ulterior motives towards it.
