Chapter Two: The Big Pit

"Besides, Zhen Huai is actually a good kid. I still owe him money for a drink. Why don't you help Zhen Huai find a wife? It'll be a way for me to repay a favor to him," Xi Da Zuiba continued.

"I understand, and then what?"

Wang Yao's feeling increasingly uneasy was growing. A marriage arrangement? Why was it always the same old Cupid's nonsense? There was nothing wrong with a disciple doing his master's work, but damn it, why did this lingering passion already feel like it was all over?

"And then? That's all. I have things to do and need to get back to work. You go home and play by yourself." Xi Da Zui Ba looked up at the sky, then turned to leave.

"Hey! Didn't you say you were going to teach me cultivation?" Wang Yao felt completely disgusted. This old guy had a relaxed look about him after shirking responsibility. His sly expression was just like someone who had just taken a very satisfying dump.

"Didn't I teach you? Use...red...thread...!" Xi Da Zui stretched out his right hand, pinched his thumb and forefinger together, and winked at Wang Yao.

What the hell is this? Wang Yao was stunned for a moment, then looked at Xi Da Zui Ba. The old thief was walking very fast and was almost at the exit of the alley. He felt as if he had fallen into a huge pit and couldn't help but roar in grief and indignation.

"Where the hell are you going?"

"The world is so big, I want to go and see it..." Xi Da Zui turned around, waved at Wang Yao, and disappeared in a flash.

What the heck?! Are you a god?! Where can't you go? Don't come up with such a idiotic excuse, okay?

They promised to take me as their disciple, but they just ran off like that! What am I supposed to do? How am I supposed to cultivate? How am I supposed to draw Qi into my body? How am I supposed to establish my foundation? How am I supposed to form my Golden Core? What happened to the promise of companionship? What happened to the promise of protecting me, passing on my skills, giving me treasures, fighting me, and finding me beautiful women?

I'm even going to play matchmaker for Zhen Huai? Turns out I've ended up being the matchmaker myself!

Wang Yao stood there dumbfounded, feeling like his life had completely failed. Jumping off a building or hanging himself seemed like things he could consider, but why... why did he feel so cold? He turned his head and was startled to see a terrifying-looking woman standing next to him.

Her breasts were indeed large, a G-cup; Xi Da Zui Ba's eyes were indeed sharp. However, her facial features were somewhat misleading. In a flash, he guessed that this was the Lin Yazhi that Xi Da Zui Ba kept talking about.

"That old bastard Xi Dazui! I've already given in to him, and he still brought out the female ghost. Is he afraid I won't die a clean death?" Wang Yao thought through gritted teeth.

Lin Yazhi's face was as white as if she had applied over ten kilograms of powder, and her pair of bright red, luscious lips slowly parted.

"I'm suffering..." The voice was intermittent, and when it reached Wang Yao's ears, it was like a straw piercing his heart directly through his ear, causing him unbearable pain.

"Um... this ghost... young lady... I'm from another time. You want to eat me? No problem. But can we just talk and not fight? Also, Xi Dazui is no good. If you eat me, you have to promise me you'll go find Xi Dazui later..." Wang Yao stammered as he looked at the female ghost.

Since death was imminent, Wang Yao didn't care anymore. If he could persuade the female ghost to ask Xi Da Zuiba to avenge him, it would fulfill a wish.

"I'm suffering..." Lin Yazhi glanced at Wang Yao with a resentful look, then continued to complain.

"I'm suffering too..." Wang Yao slapped his thigh, feeling that he was really suffering. Not only was he deceived by Xi Da Zui Ba, but before he could even decide whether to go and commit suicide, the ghost came to him on its own.

"I'm suffering..." The dark alley, the wandering eerie wind, the sigh that seemed to want to cry but had no tears, as if he had a belly full of grievances but could not speak them out.

Wang Yao was truly annoyed. This ghost was so damn slow. If he wanted to eat, he should eat; if he wanted to discuss things, he should discuss them. Why was he complaining like this? Could he be suffering more than him? He had accumulated so much merit over countless lifetimes, and now this guy had ruined it all.

Are you suffering? It's just a tiny, insignificant thing like stealing someone's man. Do you want everyone to bring it up and expose it?

"What are you complaining about? Tell me! Besides being killed for stealing someone, what else has happened?" Wang Yao asked angrily.

Unexpectedly, after hearing Wang Yao's words, Lin Yazhi gracefully knelt down before him.

"Hey! What are you doing? I'm from another world, and I don't have any money on me!"

Wang Yao was dumbfounded, unable to understand why Lin Yazhi would kneel before him. Did the ghosts in this world have a habit of kneeling before people before eating them? Like Westerners praying before eating, thanking God for the food?

"I'm suffering...!" Lin Yazhi knelt there, continuing to lament her misery. Wang Yao was truly fed up. This female ghost changed her posture and started singing the same old tune again. Was she still trying to outdo him in suffering? What a persistent female ghost! Did she want him to admit he wasn't as suffering as her before she would eat him?

"You're suffering? I'm a transmigrator, you know? I came from another world, closed my eyes and opened them again, and I'm in your world. It wasn't easy, was it...?" Wang Yao simply sat down and started complaining to the female ghost.

"...Now you understand why I told you to kill Xi Da Zuiba? He's a real bastard, harming others without benefiting himself. In my original world, he'd be executed, you know? Tell me, wasn't I miserable? In my original world, I was a total shut-in, and besides porn, I did nothing..."

Wang Yao looked up at Lin Yazhi, then swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue. Although she was a ghost, the key was that she was a female ghost, and a female ghost who had cheated on her husband in life. It was better not to say anything that carried a hint of ambiguity.
