One divine soldier stood guard outside the stable with his back to Wang Yao, while two other divine soldiers stood in front of the grain warehouse on the left side of the stable. With the stable as a shield, they would not be able to see Wang Yao unless they had a "sensing" technique or similar.
However, as soon as Wang Yao sparred with the divine soldiers in front of the stable, the two soldiers would immediately come over, so it was no different from just standing in front of the stable.
Therefore, Wang Yao's first consideration was how to hold off the three divine soldiers. After all, he didn't have any speed-enhancing spells. Once the divine soldiers were no longer restrained, it was hard to say whether he could escape from these three.
The next question was where to run. He couldn't just wander around the castle like a headless fly. There were plenty of powerful soldiers and generals in the castle. If he couldn't get to a relatively safe place as soon as possible, he would eventually die.
With time of the essence, Wang Yao first continued to maintain his "sensing" and probe in all directions, hoping to find a place nearby without divine soldiers and generals, to avoid the three divine soldiers, hide there for a while, and then look for an opportunity to escape from the castle.
He soon discovered that although there were many unguarded areas in the castle and many stone houses were empty, he had almost no way to enter any of the stone houses without alerting the castle's guards.
This wasn't because there were many divine soldiers and generals inside the castle. In fact, most of the divine soldiers and generals inside the castle were concentrated at the castle gate. It seemed that some event was being held outside the castle, and they were busy going in and out at the castle gate.
The few divine soldiers left behind in the castle, like the three in front of Wang Yao, are stationed in a few key locations within the castle. No matter where Wang Yao wants to go, he can never escape their surveillance, and it is difficult to find a path that the divine soldiers cannot cover.
Wang Yao's "sensations" went through the castle again and again. He suddenly discovered that not far from him, there was a small back door to the castle. The door was locked, and a divine soldier was guarding the door. He had only wanted to hide in the castle for the time being and had not noticed that there was a shortcut to leave the castle.
After all, once you step outside, you're in the middle of nowhere. To wander around in the wilderness in broad daylight right under the noses of the divine soldiers and generals would be absolutely suicidal.
He extended his "sensation" further outward and was surprised to find a dense forest not far from the small door. It would be a good place to hide, and a plan immediately took shape in his mind.
The warm, wet tongue of the horse licked Wang Yao's head, mistaking his hair for fodder. Finding it unpalatable, the horse stomped its foot heavily and snorted angrily.
Hearing the commotion behind him, the soldier standing outside the stable turned around and was shocked to see Wang Yao dressed in a dazzling white suit. The soldier's eyes widened in astonishment, and he opened his mouth to shout, but the pile of hay at his feet suddenly moved.
The straws in the haystack seemed to come alive, quickly binding the divine soldier tightly. A clump of straw even slipped into the soldier's mouth, preventing him from making a sound.
Without saying a word, Wang Yao jumped up and ran towards the back door. The two soldiers in front of the granary, like those in front of the stable, were also tightly bound by the straw that had sprung out from the granary and stable. Their mouths were stuffed with straw, and they stared wide-eyed, bewildered and at a loss.
At the same time, Wang Yao used "Wood Control" three times and ran desperately towards the small door not far away. There was no spiritual power to replenish in this divine realm, and Wang Yao was relying entirely on his own spiritual power to hold on. He had no idea how long he could bind the three divine soldiers.
He also realized a serious problem: he had to rely solely on his spiritual power to survive for thirty days. These three "Wood Control" techniques had already used up almost one-tenth of his spiritual power to ensure their effectiveness, and there was still a gatekeeper waiting below.
There wasn't much else behind the castle, but wooden items and hay were everywhere. Wang Yao used "Controlling Wood" to deal with the divine soldier who was standing blankly at the back door, completely unaware of the changes in the stables and granaries.
Without even checking the lock, he opened the city gate with a single "Imperial Gold" and darted out of the castle in a few steps.
"Spy! Spy!" At that moment, the sharp alarm of the divine weapon rang out behind them.
Wang Yao dashed into the nearby woods, then set up his "sensing" net to carefully examine the commotion he had caused along the way. He estimated that the "wood control" effect on the divine soldier guarding the back gate had not yet worn off, and he had not seen him chase after the castle.
He breathed a sigh of relief and hurried through the forest away from the castle, spreading his "sensing" far away to keep a close watch on his surroundings, determined not to let it happen again, like last time, when he was shot by the hunters' arrows before he even realized they were there.
Wang Yao walked until the sun was setting and, after confirming that no divine soldiers were chasing him, he had no choice but to shut down the "sensing" technique. Although this immortal technique did not consume much spiritual energy, it was still constantly draining without replenishing. With only thirty days left, he had to use it sparingly.
To avoid being approached by predators without their knowledge, Wang Yao had to constantly change his position while moving through the forest.
He would walk tens of thousands of steps east, then thousands of steps south, then half an hour west, then a short while north. He wandered around like this until the middle of the night, and even he himself couldn't tell which direction he was going.
Fortunately, he was an immortal and did not need to sleep, so he did not feel tired after walking for a while. He wandered around in the forest and before he knew it, it was dawn the next day.
He walked in one direction for a while, and was thinking of changing direction to go in another direction, when he suddenly found that the trees ahead were sparse, and he had reached the edge of the forest.
