Just now, the Cloud-Ascending Beast almost stepped on Wang Yao, but no one noticed. Firstly, the fight between the two beasts was too intense, which distracted everyone's attention. Secondly, the Cloud-Ascending Beast's kick was completely unintentional and had no murderous intent whatsoever. Therefore, everyone assumed that Wang Yao had simply let it pass.
But the fire crow's peck was different; it was full of murderous intent and went straight for Wang Yao's head. Everyone watched as the fire crow's sharp beak pecked at his head.
However, the fire crow then tilted its head, and Wang Yao was completely unharmed. Some people were worried about Wang Yao, such as Tongxuan Daxian and Huishuo. The exclamation was out of concern for Wang Yao, and they cried out when the fire crow pecked down.
However, some were surprised that Wang Yao had actually withstood the fire crow's attack. They only exclaimed after seeing that Wang Yao was unharmed after being pecked by the fire crow. However, because the event happened so quickly, the two exclamations seemed to sound at the same time.
"Lord Yue Lao, please step aside for now and let's see how our clan's great master will slay this beast!" Lang Shuai hurriedly shouted from the side.
This fire crow is known as a strange beast in the demon realm. Even Commander Lang wouldn't dare say he could escape unscathed from a single peck from it. Therefore, his opinion of Wang Yao has greatly improved, and he has begun to use a respectful title for him.
"You damn bird, you dare to bite me? I'll pluck all your feathers and roast you!" Wang Yao glared angrily at the fire crow.
Wang Yao had intended to exchange a few blows with the Fire Crow and let this dead bird taste his power, but suddenly he remembered that besides being a "good person," he didn't seem to have any other impressive magical skills. His basic "Lightning Summoning" and "Electric Snake" techniques were probably not even enough to tickle the dead bird, so he had no choice but to reluctantly give up.
"You guys go ahead, don't worry about me," Wang Yao called out as he backed away.
The powerful figures failed to notice that Wang Yao had run out of tricks. After all, his previous actions had overturned everyone's understanding, so they assumed that Wang Yao was simply being too proud of his status to waste his efforts on the fire crow. This, in turn, made everyone want to show off in front of the powerful immortal, the Old Man of the Moon.
The Second Elder opened his mouth, and a crystal-clear thread shot out straight from it, tightly binding the fire crow's sharp beak.
But in the blink of an eye, the crystalline thread was ignited by the flames and visibly spread towards the Second Elder. The Second Elder was startled and quickly jumped back, closing his mouth and letting the thread break apart.
"Watch me!" shouted a powerful member of the Zhanghuang clan dressed in a blue robe on the east side of the fireball. He flapped his wings and flew into the air. As his wings flapped, a cold current began to swirl rapidly around the fire crow's fire shield.
Another powerful being took to the air. He pointed at the fireball, and a stream of water appeared out of thin air from his fingertip, like a ribbon dancing in the air. It wrapped around the fireball and spun rapidly. When the water and the fireball met, a loud hissing sound was heard, and steam rose up.
Seeing that the Cloud-Ascending Beast had disappeared and that the experts of the Zhanghuang Clan around it were beginning to attack it, the Fire Crow let out a sharp cry and the fireball suddenly shrank inward, becoming only the size of a basketball in the blink of an eye. Then it quickly jumped upward.
Wang Yao watched as the fireball leaped through the air at tricky angles several times, then with another turn, it broke free from the entanglement of the water and cold wind, and looked as if it was about to escape.
"Go back!"
Suddenly, the dung beetle appeared above the fireball, and threw its huge dung ball at it. The fireball was hit head-on, and although the dung beetle's dung ball shattered into thousands of tiny sparks, the fireball also fell down a bit, but then it veered to the side.
The dung beetle was chasing the fireball through the air, dropping dung balls the size of bathtubs that sent the fireball scrambling for cover. Wang Yao couldn't help but cover his nose; the dung beetle fight was too disgusting, and an indescribable stench filled the air.
The fireball dodged and weaved, but it couldn't shake off the dung beetle's pursuit. Meanwhile, the flowing water and cold wind, carrying the Second Elder's silk threads, surged up again, nearly ensnaring it several times. It had no choice but to keep flying higher and higher into the sky.
The powerful beings who participated in the ground attack also took to the air one after another, chasing after the fireball that was rising in the distance.
The fireball soared into the sky, about to surpass the dung beetle, but at that moment, Lang Shuai, who had been calmly observing the battle, moved and blocked the fireball's path.
The fireball changed direction extremely quickly. Upon seeing Lang Shuai suddenly appear, it abruptly turned and pounced on the dung beetle powerhouse.
"Well done!" the dung beetle shouted, and rained down dung balls from its hand.
Unexpectedly, before the dung ball could get close, the fireball suddenly sank down, and the silk threads, cold wind, and water flowing behind it collided head-on with the dung ball. The fireball had already fallen back to the ground at high speed, changed direction, and flew straight towards Wang Yao's face.
"Go back!" Before Wang Yao could react, a wall of wind had already formed in front of him. The fireball crashed into the wind wall, but instead of leaving, it expanded at a visible speed. Wang Yao saw the wind wall quickly ignited by the fireball.
"You beast, do you think this old man has a loophole?" The Great Immortal Tongxuan laughed instead of being surprised. Suddenly, two objects appeared in his hands, and he started to strike them together with a "bang, crackle." As the rhythmic striking sound rang out, the fireball paused and hovered inside the wind wall.
In the blink of an eye, the transparent silk threads wrapped in cold wind and flowing water caught up. As soon as the silk threads touched the fireball, they quickly wrapped around it, completely enveloping the fireball. Soon, the fireball's surface was no longer lit, and it looked almost like a large ball of yarn.
Thick steam billowed out through the silk threads, and soon the ball of yarn became a large sphere of steam, its shape becoming faintly visible.
Several powerful members of the Zhanghuang clan immediately approached, casting spells continuously. Water, cold wind, and silk threads were endlessly thrown at the steam sphere. Wang Yao saw the steam sphere begin to shrink gradually, and felt the surrounding temperature rapidly decreasing.
