Chapter 56 Being Followed/Secret Schemes

Suddenly bumping into his arms, Shu Yi wrinkled her nose slightly from the pain, angrily punched his chest, and clicked her tongue.

"Can't you be a little more reserved? We haven't even gotten our marriage certificate yet."

There was no response, but a sigh suddenly sounded beside her ear. Shu Yi crawled out of his embrace and tilted her head up to meet his gaze.

Before she could open her mouth, the man in front of her suddenly reached out and covered her eyes.

"Okay, I'll keep my composure. Anyway, we're getting the marriage certificate tomorrow. We'll talk about it after that. I'll take you home first."

Why are you blocking my view?

Trying to remove the claws obstructing their view, they never expected that the strength of those hands was simply superhuman.

With everything pitch black and unable to pry his palm open no matter what she did, Shu Yi had no choice but to stop.

"Zhang Youye, I can't see the road, let go, stop messing around."

A soft laugh sounded beside my ear, followed by a clear, melodious voice.

"I don't understand why you women insist on comparing strength with men. Stop trying to outdo each other."

As he spoke, Zhang Youye looked down at his crotch.

In order to prevent her from discovering the rising desire within him, and to suppress the wild lust surging in his eyes, he loosened his grip and chose to lift her up by the waist.

He easily lifted her slender body, seemingly shocked by her weight, and bounced the little skinny girl in his arms.

"How come it's so light? It looks so thin, but I didn't expect it to be so light when I picked it up."

"It's alright." Naturally, she raised her hand to encircle his neck, and Shu Yi smiled gently. "Actually, I eat quite a lot, it's just that I don't gain weight."

He carried her to the door, estimating that the rising area should have dissipated by now.

Fortunately, his pants were loose today. He put the person in his arms down and teased her with a mischievous smile.

"It's alright. After you marry into my family, I'll have my sister-in-law make you some nourishing soup. She's an excellent cook; most people can't get her hands on this."

"Then I definitely have to try it." Shu Yi smiled and replied as she pushed open the door to leave the guest room.

...

I left the hotel and got into the car that was already waiting at the hotel entrance.

After carefully fastening Shu Yi's seatbelt, Zhang Youye started the car and drove towards the ancestral home.

The red taillights gradually disappeared at the end of the long road, at the human-shaped fountain outside the hotel.

A figure emerged from the shadows, holding a cell phone and talking to someone.

"Yes, they stayed all afternoon and just left. They must have gone back to their ancestral home. They seemed quite affectionate when they came out. Judging from their behavior, it's probably true. Let's think of something first. Okay, I'll hang up now."

After hanging up the phone, Qin Zhan looked up at Qin Quanwei, who was sitting at the head of the table.

"Brother, you heard what was said on the phone. What should we do now?"

As the head of the Qin family, Qin Quanwei remained silent, and as usual, the people beside him dared not say anything more.

Not receiving a response, Qin Zhan grew anxious.

“Brother, you saw Qin Zhi’s method. How could she let Qian Xin cause trouble? It’s completely useless. If this continues, it won’t be long before that outsider from the Shu family really has to marry into the Zhang family.”

"Second Aunt, don't be in such a hurry," Qin Tong comforted her from the side. "It won't be that fast. I don't think Shu Yi is the kind of person who would listen to Old Master Shu's arrangements. She won't agree to marry Zhang Youye so easily."

The other side.

Qin Zhan's husband, Song Zhaoshan, spoke in a mature and old-fashioned manner.

"Tongtong, you're still young. Some things aren't as simple as you think. You heard your aunt's phone call. The second young lady of the Shu family is a smart person; she's not as simple as you think."

"Second Uncle, in your opinion, how complicated do you think the second young lady of the Shu family is?" Qin Tong chuckled casually and retorted slowly.

"Alright."

Finally, Qin Quanwei interrupted Song Zhaoshan. To save face, he glanced at his son, his complex emotions evident in his eyes.

"Xiao Zhan, hurry up and get Mi You back to China. I will find a way to stop the marriage between the Zhang family and the Shu family."

"Brother, why are you sending Youyou back to China? She's still so young," Qin Zhan asked, his eyes wide.

"What do you mean 'little'? She's already twenty-two."

After saying that, Qin Quanwei rolled his eyes at his sister without saying a word, then turned to look at Song Zhaoshan with a rather helpless expression.

“Zhaoshan, you and Xiaozhan only have this one daughter. I understand that you don’t want to rush things, but you must know our family’s status.”

"Children don't get to choose these things now. Mi You liked the Zhang family boy when she was little, so you should hurry up and get her the paperwork to return to China."

"Brother, Tongtong's matter hasn't been resolved yet, why are you in such a hurry for Youyou?" Unable to bear seeing her daughter's marriage being arranged at such a young age, Qin Zhan said indignantly, "At least resolve Tongtong's matter first."

"Yes." Under the table, feeling himself being kicked, Song Zhaoshan quickly spoke up, "Big brother, shouldn't Tongtong get married first according to common sense? Tongtong is old enough, but Youyou is only twenty-two."

Standing up from his chair, Qin Quanwei waved his hand, clearly displaying an uncompromising attitude.

"You just need to hurry up and complete the formalities. I will take care of Tongtong's affairs. Let Miyou return to China as soon as possible."

"And as for Xiaozhi, let her continue to find a solution. Xiaozhan, remember to tell Xiaozhi that those two bastards weren't raised for nothing. They should be made to contribute when necessary, understand?"

After saying that, Qin Quanwei turned and left.

After watching his father leave, Qin Tong also got up from his chair. He glanced at the two men, who looked convinced on the surface but not on the inside. He casually put his hands in his pockets, looking relaxed and carefree.

"Second Aunt, Second Uncle, since that's the case, I'll be going now. Please enjoy your meal."

The Qin father and son left just like that. Before Qin Zhan could even speak, Song Zhaoshan, who was sitting next to her, couldn't help but open his mouth and retort.
