Chapter 89 Second Sister, I'm No Less Than Him

Thirty minutes later.

A top-tier private hospital in Jingnan.

I learned from the attending physician that my grandfather went into shock because of severe stimulation.

Because he was taken to the hospital in time, he has now received a strong injection and is in good condition.

Holding Shu Qiyi's aged hand tightly, Shu Yi pressed, "Why hasn't Grandpa woken up yet? When will he wake up?"

"Second Miss, please don't be sad," the doctor explained. "This is normal. The old man's health has been well taken care of. He's just been agitated and will probably wake up tomorrow."

On the way to the hospital, Shu De'an had already turned off several missed calls.

Right now, his phone in his inner pocket vibrated again. He turned off the call once more and waved for Uncle Wei and the doctor to leave the ward together.

As the door was gently closed, only Shu Yi and Shu Qianxin's soft sobs remained in the ward.

Feeling a real headache coming on, Shu Chuanran got up from the sofa and looked at the backs of the crying duo.

He called his family driver and told them to drive the car to the hospital gate.

After hanging up the phone, Shu Chuanran walked up behind Shu Qianxin and said, "Sis, the driver is at the door now. It's so late, you should go back first. You can't help here. I'll have someone contact you as soon as Grandpa wakes up."

"Brother, I... I want to stay here with Grandpa..." Shu Qianxin hesitated and refused to get up.

Shu Chuanran glanced at Shu Yi, whose eyes were red-rimmed, his expression darkening, his tone becoming forceful and uncompromising.

"Listen to me, Grandpa won't wake up if you stay here. Go back, take a shower, change out of your dress, and maybe he'll wake up after a nap. What's the point of crying here? Do you want Grandpa to wake up and see your dark circles?"

After saying that, he pulled Shu Qianxin to her feet, and the two of them left.

As the ward door opened once again, Shu Yi looked in the direction of the sound.

Only Wei Bo returned alone.

Not seeing her uncle, she asked, "Uncle Wei, has Uncle left?"

“Yes.” Uncle Wei nodded and explained, “The second master left in a hurry and didn’t have time to come in and say hello to you.”

Remembering her uncle's instructions in the car, Shu Yi accepted the warm water handed to her by Uncle Wei. Her slightly chilled stomach was soothed by the warm water, and Shu Yi's mood finally improved. She lowered her eyes to look at the clear bottom of the cup.

So many things happened in one night, one after another, like a spinning top in a chain reaction.

Now that even Grandpa has fallen ill due to the shock, without him to keep things in order, the already disorganized family will inevitably descend into chaos once again.

After a moment's thought, Shu Yi could only ask Uncle Wei to go back and bring the company documents and a change of clothes to the hospital.

...

As the ward door was closed for the last time, the large ward finally fell silent.

Hearing the faint sounds from the monitoring equipment, Shu Yi subconsciously looked around.

The suite is very large, and it won't have any impact on her staying here to keep her grandfather company. Now she can just wait for Uncle Wei to come back.

However, her dress was too complicated, and her high heels were too tiring for her feet.

Beautiful things are indeed all show and no go. I pushed open the door and ran towards Grandpa's car, but my heel was pulled by his high heels.

You don't even need to look to know that the skin has been chafed raw.

Too lazy to check her bloodied heels, Shu Yi quickly kicked off her high heels and slowly lay down beside Shu Qiyi's hospital bed, holding her grandfather's palm in one hand and resting the other under her face.

Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed the clock on the wall above me; there was only one hour left in this thrilling night.

After Shuyi sorted through everything that had happened tonight in her mind.

Perhaps the quiet environment was too conducive to sleep, or perhaps the sounds of the instruments hovering beside my ears were too steady.

She actually knelt down beside Shu Qiyi's hospital bed.

And so I fell asleep.

After an unknown amount of time, the door was gently opened again. The person holding the doorknob paused for a moment and noticed that the woman lying by the bed was asleep.

He deliberately slowed his pace as he entered the house. He gently closed the door and then quietly walked to her side.

He slowly crouched down, gazing intently at her fair face, his deep eyes filled with intense longing.

She looked stunning today; every smile and gesture was captivating and alluring, enough to stir his heart.

Through her even breathing.

I could tell she was fast asleep.

Perhaps because of her sleeping position, her neckline was almost exposed.

A magnificent scene was about to unfold before his eyes when he raised his hand and brushed aside her long hair.

Used to block the view from the chest.

I looked away and continued to gaze at her cheek.

Lost in his gaze, he slowly reached out with his fingertips and carefully removed the strand of hair that had fallen onto the corner of her lips.

Light and shadow intertwined overhead, falling on the wisps of hair that naturally fell across his forehead. His eyes darkened, his gaze becoming inscrutable, and his fingertips hovered in mid-air.

With his eyelashes trembling and lowered, he leaned closer and slowly and gently touched the corner of her lips. His movements were slightly trembling but extremely light, as if he were touching a unique and rare treasure.

"If only you could look at me..."

"Actually, I'm no worse than him, so why do you like him...?"

"If only I had shown up before him..."

"Second sister, from the first moment I saw you, I liked you so much, do you know that...?"

He murmured, bent his neck, and said many inappropriate things that no one could hear.

In front of the sleeping Shuyi.

He expressed all his resentment.

Every word, every word is heartbreaking.
