Chapter 9 Elder Shu, I truly admit my mistake.

Shu Qiyi glanced sideways at the blond-haired monster and snorted coldly.

Seemingly remembering that he should still be angry, he slammed down his teacup. Just as he was about to turn his head to explain to his granddaughter, he heard a soft chuckle from a man beside him.

"Mr. Shu, I admit my mistake, I really admit my mistake."

As he spoke, a faint smile appeared on Zhang Youye's lips. He was addressing Elder Shu, but his gaze was fixed directly on Shu Yi.

As he gazed at her, he nodded slowly, his clear eyes filled with endless smiles.

They seemed completely unable to withstand his naked gaze, like golden light piercing through the clouds, hot enough to burn the skin of those who met his eyes.

I never expected to lose in our first eye contact.

Shu Yi casually looked away.

"Then tell me, how should you admit your mistake?" Grandpa's voice made Shuyi turn her head to look at him again.

It seemed like they were just waiting for Grandpa to say those words.

Without even needing to draft a plan, Zhang Youye blurted out, "Then I'll do as you say. After we finish lunch, I'll take Yiyi to explore Jingnan."

She was frightened by the inconsistency in her son's words.

He just said he wasn't interested in a marriage alliance, but now he's taking someone else's granddaughter out for a stroll.

When did my son become so fickle?

Zhang Jinnan almost spat out the tea he was drinking because of his son's words, and quickly turned his head away.

He asked me with his eyes if he was going crazy again.

To his surprise, Zhang Youye pretended not to see his own father's gaze. He poured himself a cup of tea, got up and walked to Old Master Shu's side, half-squatting between the two of them.

She steadily handed the tea to him.

"Grandpa Shu, I was really wrong. From now on, I will listen to you and whatever you say will be the same. I won't even listen to my own father anymore. From now on, you will be my grandfather."

Listen to what he's saying! Speechless at his nephew's words, Zhang Zhiting immediately chuckled to himself.

"Old Shu, I don't know what kind of act this kid is putting on this time. Don't fall for his tricks."

“Zhiting, I’ve watched your son Youye grow up. Don’t you know what he’s up to?”

As if he saw through everything, Shu Qiyi smiled, took the tea in front of him, and drank it all in one gulp.

Shu Qiyi placed the teacup back in the blond man's palm and said angrily, "Hurry up and dye your hair back to normal, what a mess it looks like."

As he spoke, he shifted his gaze slightly to his granddaughter, who was smirking beside the blond-haired man.

Honestly, if you ignore that striking blond hair, the two of them look incredibly well-matched.

He gestured for him to return to his seat, and as he watched him get up and leave, Shu Qiyi slowly picked up the teacup in front of him.

The young man from the Zhang family isn't a bad person at heart.

He watched them grow up from childhood.

When they were young, this family was often invited to the Shu family's home, but that ended after their mother passed away.

This kid suddenly seems like a completely different person, spending all his time eating, drinking, and having fun with a bunch of cronies.

But despite having fun, nothing serious ever happened; it was mostly just drinking and fighting. And then there was the closed mountain roads, where they did things like extreme racing.

Later, for some unknown reason, this kid was suddenly sent to the juvenile detention center in Jingnan by Zhang Jinnan himself, where he stayed for many years.

Later, I heard it from the second son of the Zhang family.

This kid met some kind of teenage genius in the juvenile detention center. As soon as he got out, he and the teenage genius were sent to the Jingnan Research Institute to conduct secret research.

Thinking that this kid wasn't a bad person by nature, and that he was good-looking, tall and upright, and didn't have any other bad habits.

Everyone has moments of youthful arrogance.

These are the princes born with a silver spoon in their mouths.

Each and every one of them is a domineering figure, and if even half of Zhang Youye knew what was good for them, they would be thankful.

Moreover, the Shu and Zhang families have had a long-standing intermarriage relationship since their ancestors. In recent years, however, male descendants of the Zhang and Shu families have been married off.

When it came to Shu Renxuan and Zhang Jinnan's generation, the Zhang family finally had a daughter, but unexpectedly, their second son, Shu Yishi, was not satisfied and chose to run away from home.

It wasn't until they discovered that Shu Yishi had a daughter after leaving home that Shu Qiyi, feeling guilty, sent someone to bring his granddaughter, who was living alone, back home.

On the one hand, it was to provide compensation; on the other hand, they also intended to put the marriage between the two families on the agenda.

"What are you thinking about, Grandpa? The food is all served, and Yiyi has already put some food on your plate."

Suddenly, a voice came from beside his ear, and Shu Qiyi came back to his senses and looked at Zhang Jinnan.

Since his wife's passing, the Shu family has never wanted to be as united as before. Despite repeated pronouncements from him and his younger brother Shu De'an, the Shu family is determined not to split up.

Some people simply ignore it.

In contrast, the Zhang family has seen its eldest son act decisively and expand his business over the years, while the second son has also made a name for himself in politics.

One was in business and the other in politics, and both were wholeheartedly devoted to their families, with no discord whatsoever.

The younger generation of the Zhang family has always lived in harmony, and there has never been any unpleasant gossip among them.

If only we could lean against this big tree.

Not only will the granddaughter's life be improved, but perhaps even the current situation of the Shu family will be alleviated.

In this way, he could leave with peace of mind.

Thinking of this, Shu Qiyi sighed silently, turned to look at his granddaughter beside him, and spoke with a hint of discussion in his voice.

"Yiyi, after we finish eating, how about Youye takes you out for a walk?"

She swallowed the food in her mouth and looked up at Zhang Youye in the distance. She saw that he looked very interested, and there was a clear hint of excitement in his eyes.

It seemed that all she had to do was nod.

He will take me away from here in the next second.

It's unclear what exactly he's so excited about.
