Chapter 9 The Strange Boy on His Deathbed

Chapter 9 The Strange Boy on His Deathbed

After saying that, he slammed the door and left.

Hearing the commotion, Bao Manman came out of the bathroom and saw Bao Shuoyu's angry figure, and the door slammed shut with a bang. She said in confusion, "Luo Luo, you didn't accidentally rub salt in his wounds again, did you? You have no temper at all, really."

"You should give the amulet to your brother right away. He's probably having a bad day; he just farted out of nowhere."

Bao Manman paused for a moment, then ran out as fast as she could, calling his name.

A short while later, Bao Manman returned dejectedly. "I couldn't catch up. My brother—I hope he won't get into trouble today."

Yu Xiaoluo also wanted to know, but she couldn't predict his fate that day. Surely he couldn't be that unlucky, so she comforted Bao Manman, "It's okay, at most he'll get a minor injury. You can give it to him when he gets back."

Bao Manman was relieved. "Okay."

Yu Xiaoluo suddenly remembered something, "What's your brother's name?"

"Bao Shuoyu".

Bao Shuoyu, Bao Shuoyu, Yu Xiaoluo silently murmured the name, and suddenly remembered that the villain she needed to eliminate or reform was named Bao Shuoyu.

Could he be the villain? If so, why didn't the system give any notification? That shouldn't be the case.

Also, why does he possess spiritual energy?

A villain shouldn't have any spiritual energy; they should have dark energy, evil energy, or demonic energy.

Yu Xiaoluo frowned, but if it weren't for him, how could she not have foreseen his fate?

Why can she only predict his short-term events, while his future remains shrouded in mystery, seemingly covered by a fog and impossible to calculate?

Furthermore, why is he a villain? He has both parents and a kind and warm-hearted younger sister. Although he seems a bit roguish on the surface, he is not an irredeemable villain. She could foresee his previous fate, and he has never done anything immoral.

Moreover, he looks kind of cute when he's angry.

"Hey, you there, is this Bao Shuoyu really that big villain?"

This was the first time she had spoken to the system on her own initiative, because the system only focused on those few targets, so what could she possibly have to talk about?

The system didn't react immediately; after a long pause, it finally uttered a few words, "What do you think?"

Yu Xiaoluo opened her mouth, but swallowed the word "idiot" back down. She felt that talking to it would be a stupid thing to do.

Just thinking about Bao Shuoyu made Yu Xiaoluo feel her thoughts become confused once again.

Bao Shuyu walked briskly, wanting to get as far away from that annoying guy as possible.

Yes, from now on, as long as she's in my house, I'll fucking never go home.

Where she is, I am not; if she's on Earth, I'll go to the moon! I'd rather die from oxygen deprivation than see her!

However, I couldn't help but keep thinking about what that annoying guy had said.

Damn it, is she a devil? A devil with an angelic face?

Every time she casually uttered a few words, she guessed them perfectly, making me feel utterly ashamed.

He grew angrier the more he thought about it, angry at Yu Xiaoluo and angry at himself. Why was his body so cooperative, letting his zipper fall off whenever he wanted, and letting him fart whenever he wanted?

Next time, if I catch her alone, I'll definitely give her a good beating.

Yeah, no more hiding, let's beat him up to vent our anger! What's the point of hiding? I'm a man!

You can't hit a woman, but she's not a woman, she's a female demon! What's wrong with me hitting a demon!

Bao Shuoyu felt like he was going crazy. He had never been this angry with anyone before, not even when he was surrounded and beaten half to death by several people.

Fortunately, only his younger sister knew about this. If others found out, Bao Shuoyu's reputation would be ruined.

As he was lost in thought, something suddenly fell and hit him hard on the shoulder before shattering into pieces.

Bao Shuoyu looked down and saw that it was a flowerpot. The pot was broken, and the dried soil inside was scattered all over the ground.

The pain had already awakened; damn it, it hurts like hell.

There was a gash on his shoulder, and blood was oozing out.

If that thing had hit me on the head, my brain would have been blooming like that flowerpot.

"Who the hell threw this? Show yourself!"

He looked up and saw a black cat curled up on the security window bars on the third floor, meowing at him.

Enraged, Bao Shuoyu ignored the wound on his shoulder and charged into the old apartment building while cursing.

"Even you little brat dared to plot against me! If I don't catch you and skin you alive, I'll add 'skin' to my surname!"

He rushed up to the third floor in one breath, and the cat was still there; it hadn't run away.

However, there was a strange smile in his eyes, but Bao Shuoyu was already blinded by anger and didn't pay attention to such things.

"Since you've been relatively well-behaved, I'll go easy on you. Let me tell you, a lesson is inevitable, and there's no way you can avoid it. You need to get a beating, right? I got lucky this time, but if you do this again, you might just get smashed to death—"

Before he could finish speaking, the cat suddenly leaped down from the windowsill with the speed of a flying shadow and ran into the slightly ajar door.

They ran away! They ran away!

Bao Shuyu was probably so angry that he lost his temper and didn't want to talk. He just wanted to find the cat.

Just then, his phone rang. It was Chen Mi calling. "Ayu, why aren't you here yet? Hurry up, we're too scared to go into that haunted house if you don't come."

"I'll be there in a bit."

Bao Shuoyu hung up after speaking and then walked to the door.

He wanted to just walk in, but after thinking about it, he knocked on the door instead. "Hey, is that black cat yours? How do you raise it? Throwing things at people is a legal offense!"

But no one responded inside. He pushed open the door and slowly walked in.

The room was empty. The black cat was watching him from a distance, as if afraid he wouldn't come. As soon as Bao Shuoyu saw it, the flames of anger in his heart reignited.

"Little rabbit—little kitten, I'll tear your tendons out and skin you alive!"

Although he said it in anger and he wouldn't actually do such a thing, he was genuinely angry.

Even a cat is bullying him. How could Bao Shuoyu, a man of great stature, be so disliked by dogs and avoided by people, a figure even scoundrels dare not breathe in his presence, tolerate such humiliation?

Why did it turn out like this?

Bao Shuoyu frowned, as if he had become very unlucky ever since that little witch appeared.

No, he had to get rid of this little devil, lest his sister be bewitched without even realizing it.

"If you have the guts, don't run away!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the black cat ran away and went into a room.

Bao Shuoyu quickly chased after it; this time, he was determined to catch that little kitten.

Once inside the room, the black cat had already climbed onto a bed, still staring at him with its round, black eyes, showing no fear whatsoever.

And there was a person lying on the bed.

It was a boy with an unusually pale face and his eyes tightly closed.

Why does it look like a dead person?
