Chapter 204 Temple

Chapter 204 Temple

Yu Xiaoluo shrank her neck and took out two down jackets from her spatial storage, one for herself and one for Bao Shuoyu.

Mr. Zhang was driving and didn't notice that they had a few extra pieces of clothing.

"We're almost there, get ready."

"It's getting late, let's grab a bite to eat together, chef. Can you recommend a good place to eat?"

"Okay, I'll take you to eat wild boar meat, it's super authentic."

"Okay, you decide. We have big appetites, so let's order more."

So at noon, the table was laden with dishes, many of which were local specialties that Yu Xiaoluo had never tried before, and she quite liked them.

After everyone had eaten their fill, and the little demons in the space had also been fed, the master escorted them to the foot of the mountain and left. He then instructed them, "You must bring enough water and food, and be sure to keep warm. You must come down before dark."

"Thank you, Master."

After the driver left, Yu Xiaoluo looked at the vast white mountains and was very happy.

She took out a hat, gloves, and scarf from her storage space, and of course, Bao Shuoyu's as well. She ran up there in a few quick steps.

However, walking in the snow is never easy. Every step leaves a dent. After a while, they warmed up and reached a little higher ground. Seeing that there were no people around, the three little demons couldn't wait any longer and ran out. They hadn't played in the snow in a long time and were overjoyed to see it.

Yu Xiaoyu was chasing after the little demons. They were running too fast, and she couldn't keep up at all if she didn't use her powers. So she used her powers slightly, and suddenly felt a chill on her neck. She saw Bao Shuoyu holding a handful of snow and throwing it at her.

She wasn't one to suffer a loss. "Fine, you dared to throw at me? I'll teach you a lesson! Men, come at me all at once!"

Upon hearing their master's call, the little demons perked up and quickly turned back. As a result, Bao Shuoyu was in a terrible predicament, facing four opponents at once. Before long, he was almost smashed into a snowman, shouting, "Little Black, if you dare to bully me again, I'll skin you alive!"

But now Little Black has grown quite bold. It chuckled and said, "So what if I bully you? My master now is Yu Xiaoluo, not you."

Hehe, you wretched demon lord, you've suppressed me for so long, now I finally have a chance to get revenge, do you think I'll let you go?

"Hey everyone, let's go!" Xiao Hei shouted. Xiao Xianxian and Xuanwu got even more excited and smashed Bao Shuoyu so hard that his mouth was covered in ice shards. Yu Xiaoluo was about to burst out laughing.

"So, Bao Shuoyu, are you admitting defeat?"

"Admit defeat? That's impossible!" With that, he unleashed his power and ran away as fast as he could.

"Men, give chase!"

Along the way, several hikers were trudging along, their steps uneven, when suddenly they heard giggling laughter. In a flash, several red shadows and then several black shadows streaked past, disappearing without a trace in just a second or two.

A hiker in an orange mountaineering suit rubbed his eyes and then his earmuffs. "Did you hear or see something?"

The hikers, who were walking with their heads down, looked up in confusion. "We didn't see anything, but we seemed to hear something. It must be an auditory hallucination."

The person in the orange hiking gear muttered to himself, "The cold weather really can cause hallucinations and auditory hallucinations."

When she got tired of playing, Yu Xiaoluo took out a large waterproof mat from her space, laid a blanket on it, put all the drinks and food on it, and even started cooking a hot pot over charcoal.

The steaming hot pot, along with the incredibly delicious and piping hot food, dispelled the bone-chilling cold.

After everyone had eaten and drunk their fill and rested for a while, they continued on their journey.

After walking for a while, Yu Xiaoluo felt that this was too inefficient, so she asked Xiao Hei, Wu Xuan, and Xiao Xianxian to search separately. However, after a while, they all returned dejectedly, having found nothing.

Yu Xiaolu checked the time; it was four in the afternoon. She thought to herself that she would definitely need to find a place to sleep that night.

I don't know how many days it will take to find it; it seems that this human-shaped Ganoderma lucidum is not so easy to find.

Are there no buildings around?

Xuanwu thought for a moment, "I saw a dilapidated temple to the west."

"Alright, Xuanwu, lead the way, we'll go that way."

So everyone stopped fussing and boarded the dragon's back, heading towards the temple.

Not long after they flew, a sudden heavy snowfall blanketed the area, obscuring visibility. Xuanwu had to exert considerable effort to find the temple. Had the temple not been partially covered by snow, revealing its grayish-black color, it might never have been found.

Xuanwu stopped in the temple courtyard, and everyone got off. Xiaoxianxian and Xiaohei huddled in Yu Xiaoluo's arms, while Yu Xiaoluo huddled in Bao Shuoyu's arms. Everyone was freezing.

After getting off, Yu Xiaoluo looked around. At first glance, it looked no different from an ordinary temple. The courtyard was barren, with a large, frozen water vat, a huge incense burner, and a heavy, rusty old bell. There was also snow on the top.

So they went to the hall.

The hall was very large and housed several Buddha statues, all of which were fierce and had menacing appearances.

There were several tattered prayer cushions on the ground, and the dust on the altar was thick, but there was a roast chicken on it, frozen stiff.

The roast chicken just looks weird here. If there were any wild animals around, it would have been eaten by them long ago.

So, are there no wild animals in this place?

They weren't very interested in this place; what they needed now was a room.

So I went to check out the room next door. The room was still dilapidated, the windows were broken, and the cold wind was howling through it. There were also strange paintings on the walls, pictures made up of the limbs of various animals. They looked like pigs but weren't pigs, snakes but weren't snakes, and rats but weren't rats.

Moreover, there were dark brown, dried-up objects all around. Bao Shuoyu took a closer look, smelled them, and frowned. "This place is very unclean."

Yu Xiaoluo's expression was also a bit serious, but she had no choice. It was snowing heavily outside and it was already dark. They needed a place to stay. Her space couldn't hold people. Otherwise, she would have just taken Bao Shuoyu into her space and had a good sleep, and then come out to search again the next day. There was no need for such trouble.

So they found a room that wasn't so dilapidated, nailed a wooden board to the window, and finally the cold wind stopped coming in.

Yu Xiaoluo had a bed and a latex mattress in her space. She snapped her fingers, and the soft, warm mattress appeared out of thin air, making Bao Shuoyu stare in disbelief. "Your space—it's certainly well-stocked."

Yu Xiaoluo said smugly, "That's right, but that's not enough."
