When Chisui returned to the private room, everyone played even more boisterously.
But they still showed no intention of eating birthday cake.
Chisui just told her older brother that she was coming to attend her classmate's birthday party and got permission. She just needs to be home before nine o'clock.
Seeing that everyone was having a great time, Chisui didn't want to spoil the fun.
He obediently sat in the corner and played on his phone.
When Qian Sui first arrived, everyone just treated her as someone close to Zhang Shaochuan, and naturally treated her as if she were invisible.
But after the Emperor took out that imperial green jade pendant, everyone looked at him with new respect.
Especially Qu Yuanyuan, whose ancestors for three generations had been in the jade business, how could she possibly let go of such a fine piece of jade?
So while everyone was playing, she came to Chitose's side and poured her a non-alcoholic drink.
She handed the drink to Chitose and said with a smile, "It's for you."
Chitose took the drink from her and said, "Thank you."
Qu Yuanyuan sat down next to Qian Sui and started a conversation: "Is this your first time in an event like this?"
Qian Sui nodded and said, "Yes, Zhang Shaochuan brought me here. He said he would take me to a fun place, so we came here."
Qu Yuanyuan knew that Qian Sui had been tricked by Zhang Shaochuan. She scoffed and whispered in Qian Sui's ear, "That's just how they are. They only think this kind of place is fun."
Qu Yuanyuan's family is in the jade business. She has been interested in these things since she was a child. When she was very young, she went with her family to the jade auction in Myanmar to look at the goods.
Therefore, compared to such glitz and glamour, she prefers jade auctions and auction sites.
However, having grown up in this environment, Qu Yuanyuan could cope with it, even though she didn't like it.
But Chitose is different; she grew up in a different environment.
Qu Yuanyuan could also tell that she had always wanted to leave.
That's why I struck up a conversation.
Upon hearing her words, Qian Sui looked up at Zhang Shaochuan and Liu Zhang, who were playing cards with someone, and frowned slightly.
Even though the person in front of her was Zhang Shaochuan, the person who came to mind was Ling Shen.
She wondered if Ling Shen was just like these people.
Does he frequent places like this?
If that's the case, then it's truly a pity; she doesn't understand his world at all.
When Qian Sui thought about this question, her expression became a little dejected. Qu Yuanyuan assumed that she was just bored by herself, so she quickly tried to find a topic to talk about.
Qu Yuanyuan asked, "What does your family do? Are you also in the jade business?"
Qian Sui shook her head: "No, at my home..."
Chisui pondered for a moment, then suddenly realized she couldn't quite put her finger on what her family did, since her older brothers did all different things.
Qian Sui thought for a moment and said, "I do a little bit of everything at home."
Qu Yuanyuan thought about it and roughly understood; she guessed it was because he had a wide range of interests.
Qu Yuanyuan then asked, "Then how did you obtain that jade pendant?"
Although Qian Sui just said that she just grabbed it from the cabinet, it is still a question worth pondering where such a top-quality jade came from to be stored in a cabinet at home.
If Qian Sui only had one piece, that would be understandable; it might have been bought by a family member as a talisman for the child. But Qian Sui's bag contained so many top-quality jade stones.
In other places, those jade stones would be carefully placed in boxes and protected, for fear of being bumped or knocked. But Qian Sui just casually put them in her bag.
Qu Yuanyuan had just noticed that there were several packets of dried fish in her bag.
Putting a few dollars' worth of dried fish together with tens of millions of dollars' worth of jade.
This girl is quite brave.
Therefore, Qu Yuanyuan guessed that if Qian Sui's family was not in the jade business, then someone must be collecting these jade stones.
As the daughter of a family specializing in jade, how could Qu Yuanyuan let such a good opportunity pass by?
She absolutely had to get to know Chitose.
Qu Yuanyuan took out her phone and looked at Qian Sui, saying, "I wonder if I can add you on WeChat?"
Qian Sui glanced at Qu Yuanyuan's phone.
After the previous incidents, Luo Xinyue had already explained to Qian Sui that when someone asked her if she could have her WeChat, it didn't mean they wanted to steal her WeChat account.
Instead, I want to add her as a WeChat friend.
Qian Sui also quite liked Qu Yuanyuan; she seemed friendly, so she didn't refuse.
Chitose also took out her phone: "Okay."
The two girls sat in the corner and added each other on WeChat.
Qu Yuanyuan originally wanted to talk to Qian Sui again, but she was called away by the people next to her.
She ran to find Chitose halfway through her game, and now it's her turn to play again.
Qu Yuanyuan stood up and said to Qian Sui, "I'm going to play a game first, and I'll come back to find you in a while."
Qian Sui nodded.
After Qu Yuanyuan left, Qian Sui was alone again. Zhang Shaochuan and Liu Zhang were having a great time and didn't have time to pay any attention to Qian Sui.
Perhaps seeing that Chitose was too lonely, a boy brought a drink and sat down next to her, looking at her and asking, "Are you bored?"
Chisui turned her head and glanced at the boy, then silently moved aside a little to keep her distance from him.
Chisui hummed in agreement and said nothing more.
The boy noticed Chisui's aloofness and didn't continue to cling to her. He looked at Chisui again and said, "How about I teach you how to play?"
He held a die in his hand, shaking it back and forth, the clicking sound sounding quite rhythmic.
