Shang Ziyan was already preoccupied with something, and was startled when Qian Sui asked her that question.
Shang Ziyan's expression changed slightly, and she looked at Qian Sui with some panic, saying, "Huh? What is it?"
Qian Sui had only sensed that something was amiss, but now, seeing Shang Ziyan's flustered expression, she was even more certain that something was truly wrong with Shang Ziyan.
Qian Sui stopped in her tracks, turned around and looked directly at Shang Ziyan, and said, "Exactly, is there a problem with my good relationship with Ling Shen?"
Qian Sui's question was direct, like a large rock that directly knocked open Shang Ziyan's disguise.
Shang Ziyan hadn't expected Qian Sui to ask so directly, and her heart skipped a beat. She tried to maintain her usual casual and calm expression, but it was clear that she was flustered by Qian Sui's question.
Shang Ziyan gave a flustered smile, and her words came out in a panic.
Shang Ziyan said, "I, I didn't say anything. It's just that everyone says that Senior Ling Shen is very aloof and has almost no friends at school, but you seem to have a good relationship with him, Qian Sui. I'm just curious, yes, just curious."
Qian Sui looked at Shang Ziyan and watched her explain, but Qian Sui remained calm.
When Chitose smiles, her eyes seem to sparkle, making her look adorable and full of girlish charm. However, when Chitose doesn't smile, she appears quite aloof.
She was staring intently at Shang Ziyan, her beautiful eyes seemingly possessing the ability to see through everything, as if she wanted to uncover all of Shang Ziyan's innermost thoughts.
Shang Ziyan was startled when she saw the coldness in Qian Sui's eyes.
She was terrified that her thoughts would be discovered by Chitose.
Despite the sweltering heat, Shang Ziyan felt a chill run down her spine.
Shang Ziyan finally understood what it meant to say: "If you have a clear conscience, you have nothing to fear."
Just as Shang Ziyan was wondering how to answer, Qian Sui blinked, not wanting to delve any deeper.
Qian Sui curled the corners of her mouth, tilted her head and smiled at Shang Ziyan, "Friends are just friends, as long as you treat each other with sincerity. Because I am sincere to Ling Shen, Ling Shen will also treat me sincerely, so our relationship is fine."
Upon hearing this, Shang Ziyan was stunned for a moment, unable to find a reply.
Although there was nothing wrong with Qian Sui's answer, Shang Ziyan always felt that Qian Sui's words were implying something.
But Shang Ziyan couldn't quite understand it.
Just then, Ling Shen replied to the message. The phone screen lit up, and Qian Sui glanced at the time and said, "It's almost time for rehearsal. Let's hurry up and go up."
As she spoke, Qian Sui began to walk forward.
Shang Ziyan paused for a second before saying "Oh," and then followed.
What just happened was like a minor incident, and no one mentioned it.
When Qian Sui and Shang Ziyan arrived at the small auditorium, everyone was still preparing. Since Qian Sui didn't have many scenes, she sat to the side and replied to Ling Shen's messages while Shang Ziyan went to rehearse.
After Qian Sui posted, "My phone was dead just now, I only just saw this," Ling Shen's reply was very displeased.
Ling Shen said, "Then what did you buy that phone for? To use as a weapon for self-defense while carrying bricks?"
Qian Sui guessed that Ling Shen knew she had betrayed him to Shang Anqi, so Ling Shen's tone was a bit harsh, which Qian Sui could understand.
However, while I may understand, I will not tolerate it.
Chisui immediately replied, "Mobile phones are a cancer that harms contemporary students; we should stay away from them!"
Ling Shen first sent a string of ellipses.
Then Ling Shen said, "Then wait for me to come over and smash your phone."
Chitose: "..."
Men are terrifying.
Ling Shen's reply made Qian Sui burst into laughter.
What Qian Sui didn't know was that Shang Ziyan, who was rehearsing, turned around and saw Qian Sui smiling at her phone, and guessed that Qian Sui was chatting with Ling Shen.
The anger in his chest began to burn fiercely again.
Shang Ziyan's attention was on Qian Sui, so she forgot to say her lines.
When the president of the drama club saw that Shang Ziyan didn't react, he reminded her, "Shang Ziyan, your lines."
Shang Ziyan then came to her senses, gave the president an embarrassed smile, and apologized, "Ah, president, I'm sorry, I was a little out of it."
Qian Sui and Ling Shen's conversation was almost over. Qian Sui heard a noise and looked up to see what was happening.
The president of the drama club didn't dare to get angry at Qian Sui and Shang Ziyan, since it was already quite an achievement that Qian Sui and Shang Ziyan were even able to perform.
Hearing Shang Ziyan say she wasn't in the right state of mind, the club president didn't press her, and said, "Didn't you get enough rest? Then come down and rest for a bit. You can go to rehearse with Qian Sui first."
Shang Ziyan glanced at Qian Sui, who didn't seem to have any objections. She put her phone away, stood up, and said, "I can rehearse first."
Shang Ziyan looked at Qian Sui and could only silently agree.
Shang Ziyan had been lost in thought and didn't want everyone to see that she was unprofessional, so she pretended to be unwell and said as she walked down, "Ah, I'm really sorry. I've been training a lot lately, and my class has a guzheng performance, and I was also asked to dance by another club. These are all important roles, so I've really had a lot less time to rest lately."
She casually recounted her entire program.
Wow, this is a play, an instrument, and a dance!
He's practically an all-rounder!
