Chapter 258 A Very Important Person

Chisui was somewhat bewildered.

Ling Shen then explained, "There's a boy in our class who gets excellent grades and really likes Shang Ziyan, so I gave him the opportunity to tutor Shang Ziyan."

What Ling Shen didn't say was...

The boy who liked Shang Ziyan was...unpleasant to look at. His face was covered in pockmarks, and he also had buck teeth.

Moreover, he stutters when he's nervous; he's good for nothing except being quick-witted.

Ling Shen didn't know whether Shang Ziyan was happy or not, but that boy was probably drooling over Shang Ziyan right now.

Hearing this, Chisai was quite pleased.

However, Chitose managed to suppress the corners of her mouth that were desperately trying to turn up.

Chitose responded with an "oh," though she was secretly pleased, she managed to control herself.

Qian Sui snorted in annoyance and said, "Well, you're quite untrustworthy. You said you'd go and teach her..."

Upon hearing Qian Sui's words, Ling Shen gave a meaningful "oh," and then said, "If that's how you see it, I can go now..."

Ling Shen did it on purpose. He could tell that Qian Sui was not being honest, so he wanted to provoke Qian Sui.

As he spoke, he made a move to get up and leave.

Upon hearing this, the emperor immediately became furious.

Qian Sui stamped her foot and said, "Hey, how can you be like this? I'm already here, and you're not even going to entertain me. You still want to leave!"

As Qian Sui spoke, seeing that Ling Shen still wanted to stand up, she went around the table and reached out to press Ling Shen back into the chair.

Ling Shen was pressed into a chair by Qian Sui, feeling both annoyed and amused.

She's been hanging out with other guys these past few days, even trending on social media, and she hasn't even bothered to contact him.

It's rare for me to come see him, and he's still so domineering.

Does having an older brother mean everyone has such a domineering temper?

Ling Shen sat in the chair, leaning back against the chair, looking at Qian Sui with a smile in his eyes.

Ling Shen said, "Don't you always treat this place like your own home every time you come? Do you need me to entertain you? You know the food here much better than I do."

What Ling Shen said was the truth.

Ling Shen was busy with work before and rarely came here; he also occasionally needed to travel for work.

Qian Sui came here on her own, and she is much more familiar with the things here than Ling Shen is.

Sometimes when Ling Shen comes here, he sees Ge You, the legendary actor, lying on the sofa eating.

Upon seeing Ling Shen arrive, Qian Sui didn't move an inch, then looked at Ling Shen and said, "You're here. Make yourself at home."

Ling Shen's thought at the time was: Is this my place or your place?

The emperor was speechless.

Qian Sui was so anxious to hold Ling Shen down that she only realized now that she was a little too close to him.

Their knees touched.

Qian Sui glanced down and then turned to leave.

Unexpectedly, when she turned around, she accidentally twisted her ankle and stumbled. Just as she was about to fall, Ling Shen quickly grabbed Qian Sui's wrist.

With a forceful pull, Ling Shen dragged Qian Sui into his arms.

Before Qian Sui could react, she felt a dizzying sensation and fell into Ling Shen's arms, where she was greeted by Ling Shen's pleasant scent.

Qian Sui's heart tightened, and she subconsciously looked up at Ling Shen, but because they were too close, her forehead brushed against Ling Shen's chin when she looked up.

Qian Sui looked up, and Ling Shen looked down at the same time; their noses almost touched.

Their eyes met.

Ling Shen and Qian Sui's hearts skipped a beat.

Qian Sui looked at Ling Shen, opened her mouth, but didn't know what to say.

Qian Sui nestled in Ling Shen's arms, her fragrant and soft body giving Ling Shen a true taste of what it meant to have a warm and soft body in his embrace.

Ling Shen's heart was also in turmoil.

My heart was pounding wildly.

Chitose opened her mouth nervously: "What are you doing?"

Just as Chitose finished speaking, she suddenly remembered that she was the one who fell, and then said, "No, what was I doing?"

Chisui swallowed hard, looked away somewhat guiltily, and then tried to prop herself up by placing her hands on the armrests of the chair.

But she forgot that the chair had wheels. When she exerted force, the chair moved backward, and Chisui fell down again.

This time, Ling Shen simply reached out and put his arm around Qian Sui's waist, his voice low and deep: "Don't move."

When Qian Sui fell, his nose hit Ling Shen's chest directly. He was still huddled in Ling Shen's arms. When Ling Shen spoke, his voice came from his chest and sounded muffled.

So unreal, yet so real.

Qian Sui's face suddenly turned red.

Chisui muttered softly, "If I don't move, how am I supposed to stand up?"

But Ling Shen adjusted his posture, leaning back in the chair in a more natural way.

Ling Shen's voice was cheerful: "Then I won't get up."

The thousand-year-old frowned.

But he still didn't say anything.

Qian Sui, nestled against Ling Shen's chest, suddenly became docile.

Ling Shen stared at the ceiling, and as he looked, memories of what had happened before suddenly surfaced in his mind.

Ling Shen suddenly said, "Your Majesty."

Qian Sui was lying comfortably when he heard Ling Shen's words. He didn't even move his head, but just lazily hummed in response.

Ling Shen said, "Let me take you somewhere."

Qian Sui paused for a moment, then looked up at Ling Shen. From Qian Sui's perspective, she could see Ling Shen's long and curled eyelashes.

The Emperor asked, "Where to?"

Ling Shen looked down at Qian Sui, who was nestled in his arms, his eyes full of smiles.
