Qian Sui noticed Luo Xinyue's predicament and asked, "Xinyue, what's wrong?"
Luo Xinyue held her phone, looking troubled: "Qiansui, my grandma is in the hospital, and I need to rush to see her, but I'm worried about you going alone."
Before Luo Xinyue could finish speaking, Ling Shen spoke up from the side.
"I'll take Chitose home."
Luo Xinyue and Qian Sui both looked at Ling Shen. Ling Shen consciously moved closer to Qian Sui, looked at Luo Xinyue, and said, "Besides, I brought you here, so naturally I have to escort you home."
Luo Xinyue looked at Ling Shen. It wasn't that she didn't trust Ling Shen, but if she had to say who was the safest, it would definitely be Ling Shen. Just Ling Shen standing there gave her a sense of security.
With Ling Shen by her side, outsiders can't hurt Qian Sui. However, Luo Xinyue is afraid of what Ling Shen might do to Qian Sui.
When Qian Sui heard that Luo Xinyue's grandmother was in the hospital, she wanted Luo Xinyue to go there quickly. Now that Ling Shen had said so as well, Qian Sui said, "You should go to the hospital quickly. I can manage on my own."
Even if Ling Shen were gone, Qian Sui felt that she wouldn't encounter any danger on her own, and even if she did, she could easily handle it.
Luo Xinyue was still a little worried about Qian Sui, but at this critical moment, she could only choose to go to the hospital first.
She looked at Ling Shen and said, "Then I'll leave it to Senior Ling Shen."
Chitose: "Hurry up and go, be careful on the road."
Qian Sui followed Luo Xinyue to the entrance of the pet hospital. After watching Luo Xinyue get into a car and leave, she turned around and went back to the hospital.
Ling Shen followed Qian Sui throughout this entire process.
This pet hospital can bathe dogs. While the veterinarian was bathing the dog, Qian Sui and Ling Shen waited at the door.
Now that the dog was out of danger, Chitose began to realize another problem.
She remembered that Luo Xinyue had told her brother to stay away from Ling Shenyuan.
So, when Ling Shen leaned closer, Qian Sui quietly moved away a little.
Ling Shen noticed Qian Sui's actions, but didn't think much of it, since he had always thought Qian Sui was very obedient.
Ling Shen sat down next to Qian Sui and asked her, "Whose house are we going to later?"
Ling Shen asked her whether she wanted to go back to her eldest brother's house or her second brother's house.
Upon hearing this, Qian Sui turned to look at Ling Shen, blinked, and sized him up before remaining silent.
Ling Shen thought she was still worried about the puppy, so he reassured her, "The puppy is fine. It will probably stay in the hospital today. You can take it home after it heals."
Chitose hummed in agreement and turned to look at the door of the room where the puppy was.
Ling Shen began to realize that something was wrong with Qian Sui.
Why does he feel that Qian Sui is distancing herself from him?
It's like your pet cat suddenly becoming distant.
Ling Shen asked again, "What's wrong? Are you in a bad mood?"
Ling Shen had already seen the surveillance footage of Qian Sui's encounter in the alley and knew what had happened. Although she wasn't taken advantage of, Ling Shen was still concerned about her feelings and knew they would be affected to some extent.
Chisui remained silent. This time, she looked down at her shoes, which were stained with dirt.
Ling Shen glanced down at her shoes, remembering that she had gotten them dirty in the alley, and asked, "Are you unhappy because you were bullied in the alley?"
Qian Sui shook his head.
Ling Shen pressed further, "Then what happened?"
Qian Sui pouted, turned to look at Ling Shen, and said very seriously, "Can you talk to me less in the future? I want to keep my distance from you."
Ling Shen was taken aback, and suddenly felt a bit dumbfounded.
This was the first time he had encountered something like this; he needed to keep his distance from him and discuss things with him.
Ling Shen couldn't help but laugh out loud: "What if I don't?"
Chisui frowned slightly, clearly unhappy.
"You've gone too far!"
Ling Shen placed his hand on the back of the chair behind Qian Sui, leaned his head slightly towards Qian Sui, and said with a smile in his eyes, "How did I go too far?"
Qian Sui puffed out her cheeks and said with dissatisfaction, "Anyway, you're going too far. My brother said that we can't associate with men who are 1.85 meters tall and have the surname Ling."
Qian Ci's words were very targeted; Ling Shen really knew that Qian Ci was deliberately targeting him.
But Ling Shen remained calm. He looked at Qian Sui and said seriously, "I am 186 cm tall."
The implication is: the person your brother told you to keep your distance from is not me.
Qian Sui hadn't expected Ling Shen to explain it this way.
After hearing Ling Shen finish speaking, her vigilance relaxed slightly.
Ling Shen smiled and continued to coax Qian Sui: "So, can you talk to me properly now?"
Chitose was about to nod.
But the next moment, she remembered what Luo Xinyue had said, that it was a very bad thing for Ling Shen to treat her well only because he was treating her as a substitute.
So, Qian Sui put on a stern face again and shook her head, saying, "No, it's better not to talk to you."
Ling Shen was now out of options.
Before the age of ten, Ling Shen lived a life of luxury and was born a prodigy. After the age of ten, he became withdrawn and isolated from the world. When he reappeared in the public eye at the age of eighteen, he made a strong impact and established his position in the business world.
Regardless of the stage of his life, he never tried to coax anyone.
So now, facing Qian Sui, Ling Shen is somewhat at a loss.
Ling Shen felt uneasy seeing Qian Sui sulking and quietly moving to the side to keep his distance.
Ling Shen asked, "Then why didn't you say you wanted to keep your distance from me just now?"
Qian Sui was also frank, looking at Ling Shen with a serious expression.
