Chapter Seventy-Nine: I'm not short of money, I just hope you're not short of morals.

The boys were caught off guard and stood frozen in place.

Seven or eight boys were confronting a thousand-year-old.

To an outsider, it would certainly seem like a group of delinquent teenagers abducting a vulnerable young girl.

In reality, however, this was a girl's counterattack.

The boys looked at each other, then at the boy kneeling and groaning because of his dislocated shoulder, and they all thought it was just a coincidence.

Yes, it must be a coincidence. The girl just happened to resist and hurt him.

Thinking this, the boys mustered their courage again and became assertive once more.

Seeing the boys making moves to attack her, Qian Sui stood still, completely unfazed. She didn't even need to prepare her stance; she simply stood still and, as one boy rushed forward, attacked with one hand, flipping her hand around his arm and sliding it forward, striking him directly in the chest.

The thousand-year-old's palm looked soft, but the force of the impact was considerable. After being struck, the boy was sent flying and fell to the ground.

Several other boys rushed over one after another, but Chisui easily dealt with them all with just one hand.

The boy who rushed up from behind panicked when he saw that all the boys in front of him had been knocked to the ground. He looked around and saw a stick in the corner. He immediately picked up the stick, shouted to bolster his courage, and then ran towards Qian Sui with the stick in his hand.

Chitose had her back to the boy, but when she heard the sound and turned around, the stick was already swinging in mid-air.

Chisui straightened up and, just before the stick struck her, swiftly dodged to the side, perfectly avoiding the boy's attack.

Chisui dodged the attack of the stick, then stepped back and grabbed the boy's arm, pulling him forward.

The boy had originally used all his strength to attack Chisui. Now that Chisui had dodged, he was thrown forward due to inertia. Chisui then used the momentum to push him, and the boy fell heavily to the ground.

The boys who were just moments ago acting like hooligans and arrogantly were now all lying on the ground groaning in pain.

Even after defeating them all, the Emperor showed no joy of victory on his face.

She glanced at the group of boys, then walked toward the boy who had initially told her where the puppy had run off to.

The boy had just been kicked by Qian Sui and was crying and screaming for his parents while clutching his stomach. When he saw Qian Sui walking towards him, he broke out in a cold sweat.

He instinctively backed away, looking at Qian Sui with a terrified expression: "You, you mustn't come any closer!"

He seemed to have thought of something, and took out all the money from his pocket and gave it to Qian Sui: "I'm returning all the money to you. We'll never dare to do it again."

He threw out the wad of banknotes, scattering them all over the ground. Qian Sui didn't even glance at them, simply stepping over the money before walking up to him.

Chitose asked indifferently, "Where's the puppy?"

The boy was stunned for a moment, then realized that if he didn't tell Chitose where the puppy was, he would probably get beaten up again. So the boy tried hard to recall what had just happened, and pointed in the direction he had gone with trembling fingers, saying, "It, it went that way, turn left, there's an abandoned little house over there, and there are a lot of stray dogs inside."

Chisui looked in the direction he was pointing, then turned around and walked directly in that direction.

The boys looked at the banknotes scattered on the ground and timidly asked, "This money..."

Without even turning his head, Qian Sui said, "I don't lack money, and I hope you won't lack morality either."

As she spoke, Qian Sui walked straight out of the dark alley.

This time, following the boy's words, she walked out of the alley, turned left and walked more than twenty meters, and saw the abandoned little house. Sure enough, in the corner of the little house, the little dog was curled up.

Just as Qian Sui stepped forward, unsure of what to do, Luo Xinyue called.

Chisui squatted down next to the puppy and answered Luo Xinyue's phone call.

"Hello."

Qian Sui had just said "hello" when Luo Xinyue on the other end said anxiously, "Where did you go? I can't find you. There are so many people, it won't be safe for you to be alone."

Qian Sui was so focused on the puppy that she forgot she was waiting for Luo Xinyue. She quickly apologized, "I'm sorry, I saw a puppy that was injured, so I ran over to find it."

Luo Xinyue was only worried about Qian Sui's safety, but now that she heard that she was alright, Luo Xinyue's anger subsided.

Luo Xinyue said, "Where are you now? Send me your location and I'll come find you."

Chisui: "Okay."

After the two hung up the phone, Qian Sui sent her location.

Luo Xinyue sent a voice message saying, "You just wait there and wait. If you run around again, I'll teach you a lesson."

Chitose sent a cute, waiting emoji.

Poor Luo Xinyue, an eighteen-year-old girl, had to take on the responsibility of being a mother.

After sending her location to Luo Xinyue, Qian Sui put her phone away, took the puppy out of the hut, and waited by the roadside.

Chitose sat on the curb, holding the little dog in her arms.

Chitose was wearing a light-colored dress, and the puppy was dirty and had bloodstains on it, which made Chitose's dress dirty.

Chisui didn't care at all. Clothes are meant to be changed, and no matter how expensive they are, they are meant to be worn. Chisui didn't feel bad about the price of this expensive, handmade custom dress.

Of course, the main reason was that she didn't know how much the dress cost, or how many ice creams that money could buy.

On the other side, Ling Shen also finished his dinner party and was driven home by his driver.
