Chapter Thirty-Two: From Desperation to Survival

Chitose, who had been particularly unfamiliar with volleyball since earlier, suddenly changed her expression the moment she tossed the ball high into the air.

Chitose tossed the ball high into the air, then lightly leaped and slapped it across the air.

The movements were extremely professional.

The volleyball she slapped landed on the ground with unstoppable force, giving the opponent no time to react.

With a thud, the volleyball hit the ground.

Everyone looked at the ball in surprise.

The ball hit right at Shang Anqi's feet, and she could clearly feel the floor vibrate as the ball struck the ground.

What's going on?

Shang Anqi snapped out of her daze and turned to look at Qian Sui opposite her.

She stood still, her gaze fixed on her. The moment Shang Anqi turned to look at her, their eyes met, and she saw that chilling light in Qian Sui's eyes once again.

Luo Xinyue was also shocked. Qian Sui, who had been completely outmatched, suddenly delivered such a great shot. Luo Xinyue was stunned for a moment, and then ran over cheering.

"Chitose, you're amazing!"

Qian Sui withdrew her gaze from Shang Anqi and turned to Luo Xinyue with a smile that curved her eyes: "I'm just imitating others, I don't know if I'm doing it right."

"That's right! You played very well." Even though it was Chisui who made the shot, Luo Xinyue was even happier than her.

Meanwhile, Shang Anqi and her friends recovered from their shock, and one of the girls said sarcastically, "It's just a lucky serve by chance, what's there to be happy about?"

Luo Xinyue and Qian Sui exchanged a glance but ignored them.

The teacher blew the whistle, and the competition began again.

This time, Chisui was not at a disadvantage again.

Not only could they return the balls that the opponent deliberately hit, but they could also deliver a decisive blow, and in no time, they successfully caught up with the score that had been widened.

Shang Anqi and her group usually stick together, and they also form cliques in PE class. Many people in the class have suffered because of them. It was thought that they would be at a disadvantage in volleyball again, but unexpectedly, Qian Sui managed to catch up in the score all by herself.

And so, their fighting spirit began to ignite.

Chisei's skills are undeniable. He seemed a bit rusty with volleyball earlier because he had never played it before and needed a transition period. Now that he's familiar with it, he's ready to deliver the decisive blow.

Every ball Chisui throws is a smash. Her jumping ability and agility are exceptional. She leaps lightly, her long ponytail billowing in the air, beautiful and flamboyant. Her body arches in mid-air, and then she unleashes a powerful smash.

But the goal of the thousand-year-old is far more than that.

After bringing the score to a safe level, Chitose finally began his real actions.

The short-haired girl behind Shang Anqi hit her once earlier, so she's going to retaliate.

She timed it perfectly, hit the ball back, and after it hit the ground, it spun and bounced back, heading straight for the girl's face.

Hit the bullseye.

A subtle, understated smile appeared on Qian Sui's lips.

The opponent served, and Chitose once again seized the opportunity, smashing the ball. After hitting the ground, the ball bounced off and hit another girl in the stomach.

That girl just hit her in the stomach with a volleyball.

Several times in a row, Chitose threw the ball back at all the girls who had hit her with it.

Her strength was no joke; after being hit, those delicate girls would stand there clutching their injuries, unable to continue playing.

The ball didn't hit them directly, so no one could be sure that Chitose did it on purpose; they could only suffer in silence.

Before long, everyone around Shang Anqi was beaten up, leaving only Shang Anqi standing.

She looked at the person next to her who had been hit by the volleyball and was in pain, and her face showed a look of horror. She looked at Chitose opposite her. She had always been the one bullying Chitose before, but at this moment, the way she looked at Chitose was as if she had seen a monster.

Meanwhile, Chitose casually bounced the ball in his hand.

His gaze was languid and casual, like a lion hunting on the savanna, looking down with absolute power at its prey that had no strength to resist.

Chitose tossed the ball up, preparing to serve.

Shang Anqi's fear reached its peak at this moment.

She felt that the ball was bound to hit her.

The moment Chitose hit the ball over, she screamed, covered her head, and crouched down, her scream piercing.

But the next moment, the volleyball hit the ground next to her without touching her at all.

Just then, the teacher blew the whistle and announced, "Luo Xinyue's team wins!"

The crowd cheered.

Shang Anqi loosened her arms from holding her head and saw the cheers of the people around her, as well as the mocking expressions of some others.

She was like a clown, standing in the center, making a fool of herself in front of everyone.

Chitose, as the victor who turned the tide of the competition, was surrounded by everyone.

The boys who had been prejudiced against Chitose earlier also gathered around, and their eyes now held a hint of admiration for her.

"Wow, Chitose, is this really your first time playing volleyball?"

Chisui nodded: "Yes, I've never seen this before."

"It can't be a scam, can it? With your skill level, you could easily join the school team."

Qian Sui smiled but didn't say anything. She couldn't very well say that although she had never played volleyball, she had learned similar basic skills while training with her master on the mountain.

No matter what sport it is, the origins are actually just a few steps. Take them apart and put them back together, and you have a new sport.
